Veruca Salt - Eight Arms to Hold You (1997)

I like this one a lot. I got the disc originally from my dad's CD collection, but I found a complete copy at my local record store.

I like a lot of the songs on here, but I have a lot of memories of Volcano Girls playing on my parents' car stereo.

1. Use your brain before adding to cart ❤︎

We get it, you're excited, we were too BUT think really REALLY hard. Do you actually love this album? The artists? Are you collecting a specific genre? category? What is your goal? - DJ Aevum Don't buy stuff just because it's cheap, because it really adds up over time! And don't feel pressured to buy things you truly aren't interested in. All those "CD must-haves" lists are completely subjective. Also, are you sure you want a physical media collection or... would a digital collection fit your needs better?? 2. Make your own rules!!

For example, me personally, I'm only allowed to buy "second hand!" Sometimes I get lucky and they'll come with the original packaging but they were still purchased from second-hand shops and websites. - DJ Aevum One of my personal rules is to stick to albums rather than buying singles (CDs with 2 songs) since those can add up really fast because like why am I paying so much money for 2 songs, yanno?? I only buy CDs of singles on extremely rare occasions *coughs* Promise Swords by Knights *coughs* Evolution Eve by QUARTET★NIGHT uh, what was that? But yeah, for singles I usually try to buy the FLAC files instead, which are a lot cheaper but have the same audio quality! Once again, like Aevum said, it depends on the person and what they prefer. *Side Note: Something I've observed is that CD albums are sometimes cheaper than buying the FLAC files for them, but buying FLAC singles is cheaper than CD singles - DJ ASCENZIOxN

3. Cross-check sources

Make sure to check multiple sources before making a purchase! Sometimes, certain websites or shops will have prices hiked up more than others, so it's important to look at different places to confirm that you're getting the best deal you can. Red Vox - Another Light (2017)

My friend got me this for Christmas this year. It's definitely my favourite Red Vox album, and it seems that CDs are no longer available, which makes this one even more special. I like a ton of the songs on this album, but Tell Me has to be my favourite. In fact, it's one of my favourite songs of all time. Even though I personally don't like digipaks, the packaging is at least good quality.

Lindsay Lohan - Speak (2004)

This one I'll admit I bought out of pure morbid curiosity. I actually like the music quite a bit, and Lindsay Lohan is a much better vocalist than I would've thought. The disc also contains the music video for "Rumours," contained within its own little computer program which, unfortunately I was not able to get a screenshot of since I do not have my disc drive available with me where I am currently staying.

Jamiroquai - Travelling Without Moving

I bought this one a couple of weeks after I started college. I ordered it online and got it shipped to my dorm. I like a lot of the songs on here, even a few of the more divisive ones. The copy I have has two hidden bonus tracks.

Avril Lavigne - The Best Damn Thing

I got this one on my first trip to my local record store with a friend. Despite the CD album containing the censored versions of the songs, I actually find I enjoyed them more. This was the soundtrack to most of my early days in college.
