"Good night Veronica~" those were Millie's last words, before she curled up with her largest stuffed toy and dozed off with her thumb in her mouth. She'd be deeply asleep very quickly with her belly being full and being really comfy in her adult size crib.
"Good night, your highness." Veronica said, bowing and walked to the papers, picking them up as she walked out. She closed the door behind her and carried the papers with her, handing them over to the queen.
Millie would sleep right through the night without any problem at all. Though she was awake early as the dawn's light filtered into her bedroom through the curtains. She didn't expect anyone else to be awake or close by just yet, so she simply sat up on her bed and waited for Veronica to return for the day.
Veronica hums as she carries the tray of food to Millie's room and opens the door, setting the tray on the table as she went to the crib and opened it, holding her arms out. "Your highness, good morning!" She said happily and smiled, before going to carry Millie out to be changed and put her in a clean diaper and a light gown. "The queen received the papers and is thrilled! She'll make sure that the situation is handled properly." She said, before going to undo her hair and put her hair in pigtails.
"Good morning Veronica~!" Millie was overjoyed to see her maid coming into the bedroon, and she was cooperative while she changed her diaper and outfit. "I'm glad that mother is pleased with the papers, but I don't think that'll be the last I see of them."
"No, but the queen was happy enough to let you off the hook long enough. I suppose that it helps, me being from the countryside, and knowing what the hardships are with the knowledge of the kingdom and how it benefits everyone. Even the trades! So...you probably have about 6 months before the papers come around again." Veronica said honestly as she smiled. "You're just going to have to travel and approve it. Which is way better in my opinion." She said honestly
"Travel? You mean I have to leave the castle at some point?" Millie didn't sound too happy at te thought of it.. she had a pretty bad time when she last set foot outside the castle gate. But that was months ago already. "I don't exactly enjoy having to mingle with the people outside, some of them can be quite nasty, be it with cruel words or trying to take my things away."
"Well, you have to overlook your work...and that's going to be in a week or two..." Veronica said softly and smile a little bit. "But I can arrange for me to visit my family and I can be by your side for it. The queen should be Alright with it..." she said, offering a simple smile
"Your company on any journey outside the castle is much appreciated, thank you Veronica." Millie smiled back at her maid. "Now where did you put that tray? I could have sworn you brought food in here when you got here. I'm starving."
"I did, on the table, miss. Thank you very much for your kind words, princess. I'm very happy to hear that you enjoy my company." Veronica said, smiling happily. "I hope that you will enjoy your breakfast
"I'm sure I will, thank you Veronica." Millie got up and moved to sit at the table for her breakfast. She started to eat as well. "It's really good, did you have some earlier?"
"Yes, your highness. I've eaten already, had a shower, a meeting, washed the dishes, did my hair, washed my uniform and dried it, set your tray and place your food on it, and came up here. Just so you can have a great day today, miss." Veronica said happily and made Millie's bed, before going to prepare Millie's suitcase nonchalantly
