@furxndflesh
Why was nothing ever easy? The absolute last thing he’d wanted to do was out himself as the proverbial black sheep of a community before he’d even gotten the chance to settle in proper. He’d set off the smoke alarm for his apartment. And no matter how much he’d been able to flap a towel before it or open every window it had only escalated as the subtle stench of burnt something escalated into an open flame and now here he was sitting on the curb outside his apartment with every other soul that resided within.
Shirt sleeves rolled up he rests his head in his hands whilst his fingers work in vain to chase back the budding migraine. While he’d yet to successfully meet any of his neighbours, it didn’t take a rocket scientist to put two and two together in that the poor bastard that had moved into apartment two-oh-one was the one at fault. Maybe they couldn’t tell it by his face, maybe they would assume he was some other soul’s company for the evening (and there were a considerable amount of scantily clad men and women in the crowd that looked downright murderous at this turn of events), but the stench of smoke clung to his clothes like a second skin and the freshly healed burns on his exposed arms spelled out his guilt in stark clarity.
His flesh had healed of course and his hunger for something else returned tenfold at the new expense, arms and hands still tender from the burns he runs his hands through his hair with an audible groan. The firefighters worked diligently to contain the situation. It hadn’t damaged anything outside of his own apartment thankfully and he’d not even had the chance to throw the much requested party his coworkers kept pushing for before he’d nearly burned the place down.
Truly, a new record.
Gods above he hoped he never had to meet the soul who resided in the apartment over his, somehow he doubted anything he could offer to them could make up for the stench of a fire. “Excuse me,” he says to a passing man and pushes himself to his feet with a slight groan “You wouldn’t happen to know the name of a decent hotel within walking distance would you…?”
He’d left his contact information with one of the officers and since sitting here feeling pathetic wasn’t doing him any favours, and since he now had nothing waiting for him…why wait around any longer? Somewhere along the way he’d have to stop for a drink and he supposed sitting in a hotel room alone with a pack of imitation blood wasn’t the worst way one could spend their night.
Probably.
The tower of smoke was noticeable from his home, it was like a beacon littering the sky and he could see humans being drawn to it like moths to a flame. He too wanted to know what was going on, and Levi followed the smell of burning hoping to see some good old fashioned carnage, but apparently not. It was just some mundane fire, probably set by some clumsy oaf. Pity, he was hoping for riots and rampage.
He didn’t even notice the vampire at first, but the moment it spoke and he turned to it, to him, he growled and wrinkled his nose up in disgust for a moment. “Actually...” he was about to tell the vampire to go fuck himself, but as much as he wanted to, he thought better of causing a scene in front of all these people. “There’s a flea bitten motel two blocks down on the corner, I’m sure they’re used to your kind.”

Of course the omega was well-aware that the Alpha was good at what he did - he hadn’t become the owner of the cigar lounge without being aware of how good his club members were - but that didn’t mean that they couldn’t partake in a dose of friendly competition. Especially since he knew that Alphas tended to never turn down a challenge, something he could see that the other was already interested in.
“Name your prize. It can be anything - except for me handing you the keys to the cigar lounge or me bending over and taking your cock.” Objectively, he could tell that Levi was a handsome man - but Clayton didn’t feel particularly close to the other to the point where he personally felt sexually attracted to him. “So what’s it gonna be, Levi?”
Listening to the other man he already knew his answer, and he was sure the Omega had guessed it would be a yes to the deal, but it was fun to play the game. “Shame, those two prizes sound pretty fucking appealing.” Levi snorted and smiled to the other wolf, giving a small shrug “How about a good hunt together, I’ll provide the target, I have the grounds, so ... what do you say?” he asked, and wondered if it would bother the Omega if it was a human target. Not that he’d decided yet, but it was always fun to hunt prey.
“Deal, but you do realise I’m going to win right?” he asked and looked over the Omega. He doubted he would lose, his skills with a gun were spot on, they needed to be in his line of work, and his senses and instincts were better than that of an Omega, so to him, this was already a done deal.
asherxeaston·:
“Oh, I take plenty of risks. Just not with my work.” Asher smirked at Levi and shook his head. “Smart ass…” He too looked at the target again, which was also his client, somewhat nodding. “Yeah I’ll owe you one for sure. He’ll be hurting when he gathers his consciousness and I’ll be right there to give him anything his desperation desires.”
“Never been on to turn down a drink with good company,” he said, moving to start walking with the wolf.
“Morphine might be a good choice, he’s definitely going to need some of that.” All those breaks were going to cause him pain for weeks, and walking would probably be agony.
Levi smirked to the other man “Good!” he chuckled and lead him down the street to one of his favourite bars. He opened the door for Asher and waved to the bartender “Bottle of whisky, two glasses, and two beers.” he said as he walked over to a table to grab a seat. “So business is good then? Things always get busy for me as the weather gets colder, can’t say why, maybe people are more irritable.”
·:
“I don’t think they’ll fire me. That would lose them some money.” He didn’t like claiming he was the best, but he WAS good at what he did. He brought in enough money to keep himself comfortable even after paying Shady Jake. Then again, that may be for the escorting he did off to the side where he wasn’t paying that fucker anything. “Mmm, do I love it though?” He probably shouldn’t tease the beings that could end his life, but with Levi, he never felt threatened. He escorted him to the back of the club, pushing passed the employees only door and found himself in one of the smaller rooms he brought people in when he was fucking them. It was small. Held a bed, a side table, and the lights were pretty dim, but that never stopped him from doing anything here. In the corner was a seat — sometimes people liked to watch. “If you can’t wait, we can always make use of this room.” He pointed out, blue eyes dancing over the other male.
Levi already knew that Alec was good at what he did, and he doubted the place would want to lose one of their most popular, but he still tried not to make a scene, though part of him really fucking wanted to. Just like part of him wanted to dig his claws in to the human and ask him to change that questioning tease in to confirmation before he ripped his tongue out. Alec was just lucky that the humans tongue was just as talented as the rest of him. “Yes.” he growled back.
“This room that stinks of all the other people you let fuck you?” The Alpha replied with a raise of his eyebrows. He wasn’t threatened by the scents, part of him found it a turn on to try and cover the scent, but he would probably have a firm word with the human about a deep clean for this place, afterwards.
“You’re lucky I’m not a patient man.” he said as he reached for the other mans hip and drew him in closer, growling “Cause I can tell you don’t want to wait either.” The scent of the human changed the moment they walked someone more private, and he could hear the almost nervous heartbeat, anticipation always did that, and Levi loved it. He kissed Alec hungrily, biting at his lip as he pulled the smaller man against him.

Sometimes his choreographed dancing got the people moving and at the end of the day, that’s all he really wanted. He wanted to make them dance, wanted to make them try to recreate what he was already doing with his body. And most importantly, he wanted them to remember him for next time. He had just finished his routine and was in the process of picking his discarded clothing off the stage when he was grabbed. Normally, he would have called for security, but he couldn’t help the chuckle that left him. Levi was always…. DIFFERENT. He paid well, but he fucked him up and it took his body time to adjust come the next day. “It’s over.” He answered with a smirk. “I still have the marks from last time. I don’t heal as FAST as you do.” He pointed out, slinging his discarded shirt over his shoulder. “I just got to count my money and separate Shady’s share.” He actually found himself leaning against the werewolf, hand reaching for his drink. “You can come back with me. What are they going to do, fire me?”
The wolf looked over him and noted the chuckle, the amusement, but he was just glad that the human seemed to agree. He could still smell himself on the escort, and he smirked when Alex said he still had the marks, it was a territorial thing. He shrugged “But you do heal, and I never go too deep.” he pointed out and let go of the other man “Besides, you love it.” Which they both knew was true.
“Let’s fucking hope not!” he said and smiled “Come on then, lead the way.”
xxalphaomega·:
“You and me both.” Ever since he wound up owning Hotshot Cigar Lounge, he’d be taking on less and less clients. It was a catch-22, because while he didn’t mind the dependable income, he also missed the feel of taking out a client. Of tracking them down and keeping them in his sights until it was time to make the shot. Still, he couldn’t help but laugh at the Alpha’s words, nodding lightly before he looked over at their paper targets. “Want to make it interesting? Clean sheet, six rounds - all of them have to be headshots, and all of them have to be close enough to where you can see each individual shot without it creating hole larger than just one bullet. Whoever gets them closest without overlapping wins, and if I win, you’ve got to buy me lunch. And I’m feeling particularly hungry today.”
Levi had enough clients to make a good living, and in his line of work, one job paid enough to keep him going. He didn’t often use guns but he did enjoy them, usually it was claws, things the cops couldn’t trace as easily as a bullet to a gun, but he wasn’t new to this business, he knew where to hide things so that they stayed buried, and that included bodies.
“Interesting?” he asked, raising his eyebrows at the proposition. He was already going to say yes, but he listened to the deal anyway, the terms didn’t seem too bad, he could buy him lunch, but that still left one question “And if I win?” he asked and snorted “I’m not all that hungry.” He’d prefer some other prize, but he wasn’t going to push the man.
@townofmonsters
Watching those people swaying to the music wasn’t really why Levi was there, in face he hated it, not the dancing, not the movements, but the fact he saw people he’d slept with being eyed up and worse, touched.
When he saw one of those he felt possessive over stop dancing, he got up. The Alpha grabbed on to the human as he stepped off the stage and growled a little, pulling him closer “When’s your shift over?” he asked sipping at his drink before lifting his eyebrows at the escort “I want to ruin you.”
asherxeaston·:
Asher smirked with a nod. Despite playing coy, he did have his enemies. It was just how the business worked. He probably couldn’t even count on one whole hand how many people actually liked him. He hummed with a shake of his head. “Even a dimly lit club is too risky for my taste. I prefer to keep what I do as far on the down low as possible. Dark alleys and streets work for me.” He glanced back over at the guy on the ground with a soft laugh. “You might have actually done me a favor, because now he might want more than he intended to buy. I’ll have to hit him up later, when he’s more conscious.” He shrugged, looking at the wolf. “What are your plans now? Off to the next?”
“Not a risk taker? I had completely mislabeled you.” Levi snorted out and smiled to the other man “Ah yes, not suspicious at all.” he teased and looked back to his target, blood dripping from his nose, maybe he should call an ambulance, he’d gone too far, but he’d started enjoying himself. “Then ya welcome, and we can say you owe me one.” The Alpha teased.
“Honestly, I’m thinking a drink to wash all this testosterone down.” he smiled “Coming?”
faithlessxangel·:
Angel quickly shook his head. He had no interest in getting into someone elses business and possibly get himself hurt or killed in doing so. “No… I-I don’t want to do that…” He was stepping away then, prepared to just move on. “I will go now–” He responded with a quick swallow.
“Smart boy.” he said and smirked to the other man, if he could be described as a man, he was cowardly and snook started to sneak off like a little rat. “Don’t forget to mind your own business in future.”
lukaramxrez·:
“they are talkers…” luka loved listening to their stories. they made him feel comfortable when they actually sat there and tried to connect with him, or share their stories with him. “watch my back?” luka scoffs, shaking his head. this guy was completely insane. “…um…no i - i’ve never…heard that saying. is it actually true?” the human swallowed thickly at the threat. he had to be fooling him. just trying to scare him.
Levi smirked and nodded “Oh I could tell you stories too, they’d probably curl ya toes and keep you up at night though.” he chuckled “And yeah, within like a 10 mile radius.” he shrugged and looked over the little blood doll, pity he was a vampire groupie, the Alpha would of fucked him raw and made him his bitch.
fiendishangels·:
“You can not just hurt innocent people, just because you feel like it.” The witch gave the male a stern look on his face. A total hardass, what else was new. “Yeah? Well that type of playing hero is for my brothers. My playing hero is kicking the bad guys’ asses.” He shot a daring look towards the male, while he nodded for his two brothers to run and check on the ‘scumbag’. “Why is it that the handsome guys are always the ones who don’t give a shit about people they hurt?”
“You’re wrong about that, but, for the record, wasn’t because i felt like it.” he said and looked at the other man as a small threat got thrown his way “Please, tell me you’re joking.” he said and snorted at the comment “I got paid to scare him, not all of us were born with silver spoons, we make our own fortune.” he leaned in and winked “And believe me handsome, ya don’t want to pick a fight with an Alpha!”
xxalphaomega·:
“What, surprised that an old-timer like me still has it?” the omega teased the other playfully, knowing full and well who he was. Recognizing his club members was important - especially since he had gone and acquired the cigar lounge himself - and he knew very well that the Alpha was an assassin like he was. “You’re right, though, I don’t but… that doesn’t mean I can’t still come because I like it. Don’t tell me you’re here because you need to work on your shot because we both know that’s a damn lie.”
“Not sure we ever really lose it.” he said with a shrug, he chuckled and gave a smile to the other wolf. “The sound of the bullets, the slicing of the paper...” Levi chuckled “I like it too, and sometimes I miss the feel of a gun in my hand.” The Alpha said and he smiled “My shot is perfect.”
asherxeaston·:
Asher offered a half smirk in return. Usually he didn’t cross paths with the Alpha unless they themselves were engaging in some sort of deal, but it was bound to happen that their work would have them interfering with each other. “What enemies? Just trying to turn a buck.” Of course it was on the poor fool laying dazed and bloody on the alley floor as why he’d gotten such a harsh message. “Got a better place to do an exchange than a dark alley?”, he asked with more of a smirk, licking over his bottom lip as he moved from leaning on the building to start approaching the other. “I thought you were an assassin. Aren’t you leaving him a little too… alive?”, he teased.
“Sure.” he snorted “People in our business usually have at least a dozen.” Levi replied with a small roll of his eyes. Why pretend they were liked when everyone hated them. Levi tended to embrace the hate and just roll with it. “Dimly lit club?” he rose his eyebrows and laughed “Especially with your line of business.”
Levi’s head shook. “Not this time. Got paid to scare him, might of got a little carried away.” he shrugged and chuckled.
bittenhunter·:
“Resentment suits me quite well, fuck you.” As much as he wanted to kill him, he always found himself PAUSING. Whatever connection he had to the man that made him, he hadn’t learned to severe it yet and it didn’t look like he’d be able to any time soon, either. “It wasn’t a job. You hurt someone, dipshit.” He was meant to protect those that couldn’t protect themselves but he couldn’t even stand up to his maker which was hilarious. The whole time he had been going over this meeting in his mind, it ended with Levi’s death. Now look at him. “What did he do? Not pay you or something? You need to find a REAL job.”
Levi couldn’t disagree there but he wasn’t giving the cub the satisfaction of hearing it aloud. He listened to the cub whining like a child about him hurting someone and snorted “And you’re a saint?” he asked and shook his head in response to his own question.
“Oh I got paid, but I don’t usually ask questions.” he said and chuckled. Levi shrugged “He probably owed the guy that paid me though, and he’ll of learnt his lesson, so me and the client get paid.”
lukaramxrez·:
“maybe not…alphas but i-i’ve met some wolves…and i’ve h-heard stories.” the vampires always told stories of rogue wolves. but this man was an alpha. it made sense. showed luka why he was being such a massive dick. “okay good…thanks. my attitude? okay listen i-i’ve had a long day and i just wanna go home! i w-wasn’t expecting to be stopped.”
“Gossip.” he said and snorted “Probably from vampires.” he chuckled, of course they were bias, but this smitten blood bag wouldn’t see that. He didn’t give up on the attitude either. “You’re lucky I’m not in the mood for slaughtering anybody today, or I’d be telling you to watch your back.” he teased “Didn’t vampires ever tell you that once a wolf has your scent, it’s for life?”
