Regulus knew this was meant to be done, it was his duty since he was born into the royal family. But his heart sang for another, the ones whos eyes currently burn marks into his head.

He took a quick glance towards Barty, who was equipped in his knight gear. His eyes an unusualsoul gloss, and his jaw clenched.

"I have the sword to protect you, but not the crown to have you" Barty had whispered against his neck, the night before.
