The photobooth was stuffy. Megumi was only doing this for your satisfaction (and because he loved the way your eyes lit up when he agreed). “Can you hurry? I don’t fit in here.” He watched as you adjusted the photobooth settings, a concentrated look on your face.
“Shh, you fit just fine!” Plus, you were in his lap, so he literally had all of the seat to himself. After jamming four quarters into the coin slot, you turned your head to look at your boyfriend, “Smile, Megumi.”
He wanted to be nonchalant so badly, but you knew exactly how to crack him. His lips tugged up in the slightest grin, which was just enough to make you feel giddy. You looked back at the camera and pressed the button to start the pictures.
Large numbers counting down flashed on the screen. When it came down to number one, both of you smiled and let the machine do its job. When the first picture registered, you couldn’t help but giggle, “Okay, okay… do a heart pose with me.”
He knew you were serious, and it was hopeless to argue. He lifted his right hand to finish your heart, staring at you when the camera flashed. “Aww, that one’s so cute! Two more, what should we do?”
Megumi shrugged, “A kiss?” His arms looped around your waist, holding you close. You agreed and pressed your lips onto his, waiting for the camera to take the picture before pulling away. His cheeks were burning up, and the photobooth wasn’t helping.
Megumi rested his chin on your shoulder, burying his face into the crook of your neck. You smiled, knowing he was feeling shy about the whole situation. “One last one, Megs…” Your boyfriend lifted his head, still resting against your shoulder as he looked into the camera.
The camera took the shot, you in his lap while he held you close. A few seconds later, two strips of pictures came out of the photobooth. “One for you, one for me!”
He took the strip of pictures, admiring them as if they were newly discovered treasures. He smiled, knowing exactly where he would put these up in his room. He loves when you force him to do these kinds of things because, at the end, the results always made him so happy. So happy to have you.
