Bayern Munich center back Mats Hummels has completed a €30 million (possibly rising to €38m) transfer from Bayern Munich to Borussia Dortmund.  Hummels infamously moved from Dortmund to Bayern in 2016 for €35m.

Dortmund, who are trying to overtake Bayern at the top of the Bundesliga table, just bought one of their 30 year old defenders and gave them a lot of money for him.  

Not exactly the smartest idea from a club who I usually respect.  Hummels is getting old fast.  He has lost almost all of his pace.  Bayern were happy to give him away.  

The crazy thing to me though is that some journalists actually love this deal for Dortmund:
