FUT Web App!

Just a quick post here, as I’m sure everyone knows the FUT Web App has been working for a bit and will be “officially” up tomorrow. Even though I may not be getting this year’s FIFA at release, I couldn’t help but to mess around with the app a bit. The only decent player I packed was Martial, United’s new signing. I would have loved to use him, but I was able to sell him for 6k so I took that and ran (along with the 2k I got for Parejo). With a little over 8k I was able to build the teams I’m posting here, which I don’t think is too bad. The only difference is that the Brazilian striker is actually someone named Gabriel (who looks quite op) who FUThead doesn’t have in their database yet. Who were your best players? FIFA 16 Demo Takeaways

So here we are. The FIFA 16 Demo is out, people are playing, bitching and raving about what the demo shows us. Most people really into this game have probably already see a ton of footage from the real game via the more prominent YouTubers, but I’m here to discuss what us peons got to sample. I’ve been playing the demo a bit and just wanted to go over what I love and loathe about what we’ve played in this demo. I know this isn’t the retail game and things can change, but with a release less than two weeks away, the demo is probably close to what we’re getting. Let’s get into it.

Three Things I Love About FIFA 16

I guess I’ll start here by saying I love the inclusion of the women’s national teams. Anyone against this doesn’t really have an argument, since nothing is getting taken away to include these teams. I had a blast playing the demo with the USWNT (Tobin Heath 5* skills!!) and I’m sure I’ll try some of the other nations when I get full game. The last thing I’ll say on this is how brilliant EA are for including women’s teams. It opens up the game to an entirely new audience and will surely boost FIFA’s sales. EA get a lot of flak, but the last I checked EA are the first maker of a sports sim that has included women prominently in the game. So hats off to you EA and this is where my praise of them will end.

FUT Draft also seems to have potential. Granted that the demo gave you access to far more good players than you’ll actually get in the actual game (I got Ronaldo, Messi and Hazard into a team), it will surely be a fun way to play FUT. Once all players are included and you won’t just have the best players, it will be fun to use and great to see what others come up with. The only downside here is that you’ll have to pay to use this mode. I would love to see them do different leveled FUT Drafts, where you have to draft only silver players or keep the team rating below four stars. This would really bring back the glory days of great FUT tournaments (Best of the Rest from FIFA 12 was the best FUT tournament/game mode ever) and that is something I would use coins to enter.

The last thing I like was the actual gameplay change. I’ll be bitching about gameplay things I hate in a bit, but it’s nice that the game actually feels different. We all know EA will never give us a true feeling of what FUT will feel like in the demo (the incredible discrepancy between FUT and other game modes is the most glaring, yet least talked about flaw in FIFA), the gameplay did feel far different than any past FIFA. The new types of passing feel useful, yet not OP, which is rare when introducing something new. I’ll be interested to see how the gameplay changes will work against a human opponent though.

Three Things I Hate About FIFA 16

This has less to do with the demo and more to do with news about the game, but they haven’t changed the game modes at all, other than FUT Draft. No one cares about player training or preseason tournaments and there has to be something better to do than this. How about they make it so I can use women’s teams in online competitive games rather than letting me play in the Fuckitty Shit Preseason Cup Tournament? How hard would that be? This is probably the biggest reason why I won’t be buying this game right when it comes out this year and it really shows laziness on EA’s side.

Back to FUT Draft now for a second. I’m really annoyed that I’ll have to pay to enter these tournaments. I know it’s a smart business move and EA will make a shit ton of money off of this, but it’s honestly kind of obnoxious. EA make so much money off of packs and the game itself, they’re pushing things by making me pay to actually play the game. I also see how this kind of mode could get stale pretty quickly and if this happens I’m not really sure what EA will do. The other thing about this that scares me is that it could lead me to believe that FUT could become a full “pay to play” mode in the future. If people are willing to pay, EA will continue to charge, but they will surely lose some business if this becomes the case.

Last is the gameplay and this annoys me in a couple different ways. From what I’ve played, FIFA 16 is very focused on possession, yet when I or my opponent lost the ball there was still a huge chance on the counter for whoever didn’t have possession. I just feel like the game doesn’t know what it is. If it wants to be a true simulation, then it can’t have things that happen that never happen during a real game (like regularly having a 2 v 1 off of a corner clearance). If it wants to be an arcade-style game, then make it that. People complain about how pace heavy FIFA 12 was, but it at least knew what it was. There are also issues with the officiating (terrible as always), gameplay glitches (my keeper somehow saved a ball by putting his hand through the net), and things that will have to be worked out with patches and server updates.

So there you have it, the ramblings of a madman about FIFA 16. I probably won’t be getting this until Christmas so don’t look here for much else about FIFA for a while, but I’ll still be providing great content on other games. This includes a preview of the great fall that has already begun and will continue, plus my thoughts on some older games I love (Dragon Age: Inquisition!). Call of Duty: Black Ops III Takeaways

     Hi all and welcome back to another post on FUTandSuch. As I said in my last post, the content coming for now will be much heavier on the “such” than FUT. I thought I’d kick things off with a little recap of my time with Black Ops III. This past weekend, the beta was made available to everyone on Xbox One, pre-order or not, and I played my fair share (I got up to around Level 17). Anyway, I just wanted to do a few quick hitting topics, some of which are about the gameplay specifically, while others are more my opinion on things I noticed. Let’s start things off lightly.

     Call of Duty is still fun as hell. I haven’t touched any COD game in over a year and I had a blast with the beta. The new weapons, in addition to killstreaks, are really fun and weren’t as over powered as I thought they’d be. To go along with this, my favorite COD killstreak ever was back (RCXD baby!!!) and some of the other stuff was just as I remember. On the topic of killstreaks, it seemed a bit more difficult to get even the early ones now since the streaks were based on points rather than kills alone. After a bit I was able to get my RCXD-like streak and my UAV with no problem, but it definitely made me be more careful. Overall, it was a really fun experience, but there are some things that annoyed me with the game (and COD in general) that I’d like to address.

     The reason I always go away from COD and play Halo as my online shooter of choice is the constant getting killed from behind/a place where I do not have a clue about the enemy being. Don’t get me wrong, I pick up kills this way all the time, but being able to have your shield in Halo makes fending off surprise attacks far less worrisome Another thing I forgot about COD is just how fucking good some people are at it. I held my own most of the time, but some people are nuts at that game.

     To but this bluntly, I think the beta is dumbed down so that those who play it think they are better at the game than they really are. I consider myself a below average COD player at best and I was typically in the top three at the end of a match, leading my team in some cases. Some of this may have had to do with the special weapons being kind of OP (particularly the grenade launcher), but I just felt like I should not have been able to do as well as I did. I’m not trying to accuse Activision and Treyarch of anything, I just felt like I was outperforming my expectations and I don’t think people just magically get better at a game after not playing it for years.

     My final complaint, before getting to one random thing I noticed, is that what I played is not worth sixty dollars. These games rarely have a real campaign and I’m not paying sixty bucks to play multiplayer. I’m a bit biased (Halo all the way), but at least Halo has a story to care about. The game has real lore, while COD is just a recycled story with little to no connection to past games. I might actually pay twenty or thirty bucks to just have multiplayer access for COD, but I’m probably never again buying a game of theirs. Fret not though, this franchise will do just fine without my measly contribution.

     The last thing I wanted to touch on is totally random, but it was regarding how many of the avatars in-game were women. The gender you portrayed in the game was based on the power-up weapon you chose, which led to me and others playing as women for most of the game. I found myself saying things like, “damn, she killed me”, which made me forget for a second that it was almost certainly a male playing the actual game. I’m not sure if this was calculated in any way by Activision or Treyarch, but I just found it an interesting observation considering the times we live in. Equality matters now more than ever and maybe this was some kind of attempt at the developers to note this in a game that is very male dominant.

     So there are a few quick bits about the game. I don’t think this beta really made or broke many sales for COD, but I have to say I enjoyed it. Nonetheless, I’ll be playing Halo 5 multiplayer this fall, even though I fear more and more people are gravitating toward COD. Top 5 FUT Attackers

Hello and welcome to the final piece of my top five countdown. This countdown is reserved for my favorite attacking players of FUT 15 (strikers, forwards and wingers). I’m going to try and make this one a bit more brief, as I fear I’ve been repeating myself a bit too much. So here we go, my preferred attackers of FUT 15.

5. Arturo Vidal (CF)-85

I know what you’re saying, “he isn’t an attacker.” That’s where you’re wrong though. Vidal was magnificent for me and if you’re still playing FUT 15 you should totally give him a go as a CF. He probably averaged close to a goal per game for me and his positioning was outstanding. He was always in the right place at the right time and would argue that his positioning was as good as any true attacker on this list. Vidal, CF, do it. Trust me.

4. Alexis Sanchez (RW)-84

Another Chilean makes the list and Sanchez was actually included in the team where I used Vidal as a CF. As you would expect he was extremely quick and his dribbling only helped that. I also found his weak foot finishing to be very good and not at all what you’d expect from someone with a 3* weak foot. I would imagine he’d make a great RF if those formations are more to your liking, although I loved his work rates and how he tracked back to help defend. I’d assume most people have used Sanchez, but he still had to make this list.

3. Eden Hazard (LW)-88

Hazard just edges out Sanchez as my favorite winger, but his production in front of goal totally backs his ranking. He probably played 50 games for me and either had a goal or an assist in each one of them. He did take my penalties, but he won a fair share of the spot kicks he scored. The biggest difference between Hazard and any other winger was his strength. It’s only a 63, but it makes all the difference when he is up against stronger right backs and that little bit of extra strength allows him to get the space he needs to use his speed. His finishing is also as good as you’ll get form a winger. Now on to the big boys.

2. Hulk (ST)-84

I’ll start by saying I wasn’t crazy about Hulk’s normal card, but man was he a beast as a striker. He was still kind of sluggish, but being played centrally and being allowed to surround him with speedy players made up for this. He was incredible (HA!) in terms of positioning and finishing, which is what you’d want from a player you paid 150k for. His long shots were also nuts and he could score from anywhere within 35 yards. The last bit of praise I’ll give him was about his weak foot. Usually players with a 2* weak foot are forced to use their strong foot, but Hulk was fine on his right. Maybe his shot power helped it, but he could finish in the box with both feet. He’s as cheap as he’ll ever be right now with FIFA 16 looming, so go pick him up!

1. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (ST)-81

This guy, as FUT players know all too well, is a handful at any position. But he takes my top spot for two reasons. First is obviously his pace and his finishing and his passing and his goal scoring record and every other amazing thing you’d expect from this Aubameyang as a striker. What puts it over the top is his price. When I used him, I was able to snag him for 70k, which is INSANE for a player of this caliber. Price isn’t everything though, and he scored at least a goal a game for me when he was in my squad for about 30 or so games. I feel like he’d be a nice false 9 as his passing seemed solid for me. So there you have it, as expected, a pacewhore of a player takes the top spot.

Top 5 FUT Midfielders

Welcome back to my top five countdown! Sorry it’s been a bit since my last post, but we’re getting into the more fun players here. This will be by top five FUT midfielders! I’m going to limit this to CAM/CM/CDM, as I don’t really play with formations that use wide midfielders (I almost only use some variation of the 4-3-3). If you’ve missed any part of this countdown, please feel free to go back and review them here and here. Now, into the top five midfielders! As always, this isn’t a ranking from best to worst, as comparing a CAM to a CDM is impossible.

5. Bojan-CAM (79)

Bojan is the only CAM to make this list, but man is he a good time. He’s dirt cheap and one of the best EPL CAMs you can find. This guy was amazing for me and don’t be too weary of his more concerning stats. Sure, he has really low strength, but his incredibly high balance and dribbling make him a nightmare to get off the ball. The 4* skills are a nice little touch he seemed really calm and collected in front of goal. There are more expensive options like Di Maria, and someone like Oscar or Eriksen may seem like a better player, but you should really take my word for it and give Bojan a go.

4. Blaise Matuidi-CDM (83)

We can call him “annoying midfielder number one” on this list, as this is what I think anytime I come up against him. Matuidi is really the ideal CDM for FUT, but he only gets to number four because of the super OP players ahead of him. Also, I didn’t play a ton of games with him. He was almost always included in any Ligue 1 team though, and he never disappointed. His 95 stamina means he can run for days, make it well beyond the full 90 minutes and his high defensive stats really round him out. Obviously, he isn’t great in front of goal and sadly his passing kind of let me down at times. Still, he did what I had him in my teams to do and he’s a no-brainer to make this list.

3. Paul Pogba-CM (84)

The second Frenchman to make this list, Pogba is a beast and should always be the first CM for any team based around Serie A or France. He’s got everything, stamina, power, strength and he’s pretty quick for someone so strong. He’s the player who kept Matic off of this list because he was so well rounded and I really liked him going forward. I will go as far to say he was actually a bit better as an attacker than as a defensive or holding mid and my goodness is he fun in attack. 4* skills, 90 (!) ball control and some crazy long shots/shot power make him a blast to play with in the attacking third.

2. James McCarthy-CDM (81) 

Here’s the second surprise of this list. I’ve played with all the best EPL midfielders including the likes of Yaya, Matic, and Fernandinho, but none of these players compared to the powerhouse that is James McCarthy. First of all, he has fantastic passing which is a key stat for any CDM and his work rate also helps him at this position. His strength says 80, but he always seemed to be able to get the ball from any player and his stamina allows him to run forever. Still, the most fun and surprising thing about James was that he was actually really solid going forward. If he got the ball in front of goal, he usually at least troubled the keeper and even scored a few goals for me. He’s a cheap IF and you won’t be disappointed by him, give James a try.

1. Ramires-CDM (81)

If there was any doubt, here’s the number one central mid in FUT, aka “annoying midfielder number two.” Ramires is OP, he’s annoying and he’s everything I love about a central midfielder. He will run forever, can catch any sweaty winger/striker and has good enough passing/shooting that it doesn’t make him a liability. I actually commend how good he was in front of goal and going forward, and his dribbling had a lot to do with this. I don’t have anything else to say. Just use him, everyone has and will continue to do so because he is the most well rounded central midfielder in FUT.

I hope you guys enjoyed this list. There were a couple of notable surprises worth trying out now that FUT 15 is winding down. Just to give an update of what is coming, my final “top five” piece will be on my favorite attackers (Strikers, Wingers and Forwards). But after that, things are going to go in the “such” direction rather than “FUT”, as I have a few non-FIFA related things to talk about. Top 5 FUT Defenders

Welcome back to my top five countdown by position. If you missed my top five keepers, read up and let me know what you think! Today, we’re onto the top five defenders. This will include CBs, LBs and RBs. Obviously, that will not allow me to run as deep at each position, but that’s the way this goes sometimes. Since I’m including all these positions, it’s impossible for my ranking from one to five to mean that number one is “better” than number five. Rather, the rankings will reflect my preference, much like my top five keeper list went. So let’s have at it, and we’ll start with one of the cheapest players in FIFA.

 Henri Bedimo, LB (76)

I’ve loved this man since the start of FUT this year. His pace is probably his weakest stat, but he’s strength allows him to deal with almost any winger or striker as long as he can keep making contact with them. His high/high work rate is also a plus, since it really just means he runs around a, rather than focuses on attacking. Any time I’ve made a Ligue 1 team, he’s my go-to LB. He’s also useful because his green link with Nkoulou makes him nice for hybrids. I’m sure most people have used him, at least in a starter team, but I just find myself coming back to him and that’s why he cracked my top five.

Patrice Evra, LB (80)

Evra makes the cut here based almost solely on necessity. As FUT players know all too well, we were given very few options at LB in the Serie A for far too long this year. Luckily, Patrice Evra is a fantastic LB to be stuck with and I’ve used him constantly this year. Not only is Evra a rock solid defender, he is actually pretty solid going forward with his 76 ball control and 79 crossing. He also feels much faster than his 79 pace and his strength just makes him so well rounded. Another huge plus with him is a strong link with Chiellini and his French nationality that makes him great for hybrids (this will be a theme throughout this list). Not much else to say, gotta love our old pal Patrice.

Nathaniel Clyne, RB (76)

I know this is a bold statement, but I might like him more than Kyle Walker. Even if he may not be better, I feel like less of a dick for using him. His stamina (91!) means that he can keep up with just about anyone for the full 90 minutes and his 75 strength means he can put up a decent fight against bigger wingers or strikers. I’ve heard his TOTS card is insane, but 45k was a bit much for me to spend on a right back. Still, the upgraded Clyne was just fine for me and he’s even pretty good going forward. He’s saved my ass a lot this year and hopefully he’ll be a great signing for Liverpool.

Felipe Santana, CB (76)

I really don’t know where to start with him. I’m sure there are “better” center backs out there (Thiago Silva, Ramos, I could go on), but Santana has never let me down. Even though he doesn’t have great positioning or defensive stats overall, his low attacking work rate helps keep him in the right places. Add in 83 sprint speed and decent strength, and I wish you luck against him. All the great stuff I’ve rattled off would be enough to make him one of my top two center backs, but let’s move on to his heading. DEAR. GOD. For a game that had heading taken waaaay out of it due to how OP it was last year, this guy is a monster. He’s 6’4” and has 80 jumping!? Well, good luck winning your corners. On the offensive side we can throw in his 90 heading accuracy and he’ll bang in the goals off of corners. The next time you’re making a team for the Bundesliga, skip Naldo, Boateng or Hummels and get Mr. Santana in there.

Jose Fonte CB (TOTS 81)

This guy is the real deal and a hidden gem all in one. To go from a 74 silver card to this is really incredible. I have probably used him the least of anyone on this list, but he was amazing for me in every game I played. Look at his stats and you’ll see why. He rated 85 or better in every important in-game defending stat. He also has 90 strength and it feels like it. The pace upgrade was really key for this card because 66 is just enough to not be a liability and I would say he feels closer to 70. He was just always in the right spot and when that happens, the 87 standing and sliding tackling will take care of itself. I specifically remember a guy I played who had a full TOTS/TOTY team with Ronaldo and the like. They were no match for Fonte though, he was irate and I was very pleased to hear his coin-buying ass screaming in anger. Go buy Fonte, right now. He’s worth the 20k you’ll have to pay for him and we know that money isn’t better spent on packs.

Top 5 FUT 15 Goalkeepers

Since FIFA 15 is winding down, I thought it would be fun to take a break from FIFA 16 speculation, criticism, and discussion. Instead, let’s turn our attention to the best of the best from FUT 15. Over the next few posts, I will be discussing my favorite players at each position. Today will be goalkeepers, next will come CBs and so on. I will try to make the order in which they’re listed mean something, but the list will be more of a reflection of my top five overall, rather than a ranking from one to five. So, ready or not, here are my top five FUT 15 keepers.

5. Julio Cesar (82)

I loved nothing more than to come up against this guy in FIFA 12. He had great ratings, but was always a terrible GK in my experience. How times have changed. He’s the lowest rated he’s ever been, but I’ve never liked using him more. Maybe this is because I expect less from him now, but he is the definition of a solid FUT 15 keeper. He saves almost everything he should and he’ll have a game or two where he stands on his head. I just found myself coming back to him for teams where I had two Brazilian CBs, so if you haven’t tried him out you should.

4. Simon Mignolet (82)

I almost forgot to put him on this list, but the Belgian is no joke if you’re looking for a dirt cheap BPL keeper. This guy was insane for me and I would have been genuinely annoyed had a player known for being shit in real life done so well against me. The thing I really remember about him was his handling. It’s only rated a 79, but I swear he just snatched everything out of the air and held shots that he had no business keeping. He’s the only player on this list that I feel like people may have never played with, so have a go with him and get ready to drive your opponents mad.

3. Fernando Muslera (82)

This may be another player that not many people have used, but he’s the definition of rock solid.  He was just so well rounded (and quite tall) that it was tough to get anything past him. It has been a while since I’ve used him in a team, but the one downside I remember about him is that he didn’t really save anything that I definitely thought was going in. Basically, he wasn’t one for miraculous saves, but he took care of everything that I expected him to. Top keeper.

 2. Thibaut Courtois (86)

Now that we’re into the final two, the big boys are showing themselves. Courtois is about what you would expect from a massive, catlike, 86 rated keeper. He saves everything, whether he should or not, but there are a couple of things that kept him from the number one spot. First is his price. I still use him in my top squad, but I probably paid about 10k for him which is just too much for a keeper. My second issue is a bit of an annoying gripe, but it has to do with where he saves shots. He gets to almost everything and catches a lot of hard shots, but sometimes he palms the ball back into a dangerous area when he should have just tried to get it as far from his goal as possible. This may be more of a gameplay issue than a Courtois issue, but these two problems kept him from the top spot.

 1. David De Gea (Upgraded to 85)

De Gea is the perfect FUT keeper. Saves a lot of sure goals, tall, and quick reflexes. I got him in a free pack so I may be a bit biased, but he was just everything I wanted in a keeper. Even at his peak price of 7K, it’s a great deal. Another great thing about him is that he was useful for hybrids and since he was free he just got thrown into a lot of team for me, as there was no better option. His biggest assets, clearly, were his diving and reflexes. Sure, he might get beat from long range once and a while, but good luck getting anything past him up close. Factor in his 6’3” frame and you have the perfect FUT keeper.

FUTDraft Hot Takes

By now I’m sure most FIFA fans have seen and heard a lot about FUTDraft, FIFA 16’s new Ultimate Team mode. If not, I strongly recommend watching FUTHead’s video regarding this new mode on YouTube. While most people seem pretty excited for about it, I find myself skeptical of FUTDraft and FIFA 16 in general. Not a whole lot seems to have changed regarding any mode other than FUT (who gives a shit about preseasons tournaments in Career Mode?) and even this new, shiny mode seems to pose some problems. I’m pretty weary about FIFA 16 in general, but that’s for another time. Here are 5 major questions or concerns that I have regarding FUTDraft and FUT.

  1. Hasn’t EA, kind of, already done this?

When EA introduced loan players, it essentially did what a big selling point of FUTDraft is, which is allow all levels of players to use the best players. I’ve played with Pele, Pink Sturridge, and Bale this year and these are players that I could never afford. FUTDraft is an amazing concept, but from what I saw it could get very stale very quickly.

2. This feels like a money grab.

Now let me be clear, I’m not usually one who thinks or even cares that EA take certain actions to make a quick buck (the Futties anyone?). However, this really feels like a money grab from them. While loan players were purchased through useless tokens that everyone has a billion of, this game mode will require actual coins or FIFA points. I know we’ve heard about big rewards for winning these tournaments, but I’ve played through several tournaments this year with good rewards and the best I have to show for it are an in-from Dempsey and a Pink Ronaldinho. If this is what I’m to expect, I’m not sure why this mode will get anyone excited.

3. Will the rewards in pack from these tournaments contain tradeable items?

I think that this could be a huge blow to FUTDraft if it turns out to be an issue. All packs that were won from single player tournaments this year were untradeable. Will this trend continue for FUTDraft? If so, why would I pay an entry fee to get a pack that, if by some longshot contains great players, I won’t be able to trade. This may be me being the ultimate EA skeptic, but everything from this mode will have to be 100% tradeable for anyone in their right mind to play.

4. The refund process.

If you watched Tom’s video, you saw that he stated that even if you lose your first game in these tournaments you will get whatever you paid to enter refunded to you. This does not mean that you will have the FIFA points or actual coins refunded, but rather something that EA deem “worth” the entry fee. Let’s say you pay 15k to enter and you lose your first game. You could get two 7.5k packs as your “refund.” I don’t know about you, but I don’t remember the last time that any pack I bought was worth the coins I paid for it and there’s no reason for me to believe that this will change anytime soon.

 5. Will this be yet another gimmick to distract people from FIFA and FUT’s real issues?

FIFA 12 was, far and away, my favorite year for FUT. Sure it was totally based around pace and felt like an arcade game, but at least it was like the rest of FIFA. I’m not sure why critics don’t bring this up, but since FIFA 13, FUT gameplay and general FIFA gameplay differ so greatly it’s almost like playing two different games. If EA have said anything about this, please let me know in the comments, but it’s something that has really annoyed me. FIFA 14 had OP headers, this year we had goalies that needed helmets and formations that were so abusive (4-3-1-2) that the only way to compete with them was to copy them. I want FIFA, FUT and FUTDraft to be a success, but it seems more and more like EA are coming up with distractions, rather than fixing real issues that has plagued this franchise for the past few years.

 Obviously, there is so much that we don’t know about this game mode or the rest of FIFA in general. Still, I remain skeptical about this year’s game. There’s only so much you can do to reinvent a game mode, but fixing chronic gameplay issues is key to the success of any good game in the long term. Welcome!

I would like to just take a second to welcome anyone who found this blog in the depths of the internet to my site! What you will find here is exactly what title says, FUT and some other stuff. The other stuff might take over a bit more in the coming months (Halo 5 baby), but for how it will remain about FUT, the craziness that was FUT this year, and what to expect from FIFA 16 now that E3 and Gamescom are over. Also, the blog will have everything in one giant group on the front page for now, as Tumblr hasn’t been cooperating with me.
