Commissioned for the Emmy nominated MLS Insider documentary series on KickTV, MLS Insider gets a fresh perspective on the special opportunities available to young players participating in MLS club academies across the United States and Canada. The league began requiring its clubs to field youth teams in 2007 and created incentives to allow them to sign players they develop. Now the programs are bearing fruit, with fifty-six "homegrown" players on MLS rosters.

It might very well have been Thierry Henry's last professional game as a player last night, in the second leg of the MLS Eastern Conference Final against the New England Revolution, so we had Sebastián Domenech do the honors. Thank you, Titi! Major League Soccer is a darker place without you.

Dom Dwyer: one of the League's top goal scorers-- and one of its most lively personalities. After beginning his career in the Norwich City youth system, Dwyer came to the United States for college and Sporting KC drafted him in 2012.

For this piece, we delved into Jermaine Jones' move to the New England Revolution. We hired artist Jacob Sanders (jacobsandersillustration) to tackle this piece, and primarily wanted to show the exuberance of Jones' arrival in New England through a dynamic composition and bold colors.

Richie Pope (richiepope) created a brilliant illustration of 2014 MLS leading goalscorer Bradley Wright-Phillips for the September 4th, 2014 episode of MLS Insider. We delved into Bradley Wright-Phillips' famous football family, his adjustment to the league, and his excellent 2014 season for the New York Red Bulls, in order to create a composition that would delineate his family evolution. We worked with illustrator Kyle Stecker (kylestecker) to create a composition that simultaneously illustrated Ricardo Kakà in Orlando's colors as well as the overall exuberance and excitement of MLS and Orlando City Soccer Club fans alike. Kakà's iconic point to the sky is immediately recognizable and what better way to show him completely immersed in Orlando than depicted as the symbolic lion in the club logo?
