Fast-Forward Para: Wedding Bells (Part 1)
7th of October 2052
The sun was setting in Los Angeles, and with the girls now on the plane to the bachelorette party, there was finally some peace and quiet. Without question, Spencer and Alistair adored all their children, but seven additional women sleeping over the previous night was a bit much.
So things were finally back to normal, just two parents and the twins.
âAnnounceâŠdinner in 30 minutes,â Alistair said into his phone. The message was sent to all the rooms, causing a light dinging sound and text to pop up on screens.
Spencer entered the bedroom, sweaty after a long workout. Even at 55, he was toned and gorgeous, although Alistair would think so regardless.
â30 minutes?â Spencer said, eyebrows furrowed. âYouâre going cook something in 30 minutes?â
âWeâre ordering in, babe,â Alistair replied. âThose sandwiches you like.â
âCool,â Spencer said, nodding and pulling out his phone. He quickly started to check his email, but his husband wasnât having it. Alistair grabbed Spencerâs sweaty t-shirt and pulled him in for a kiss.
Even as they grew older, their physical relationship never did. But just as they were deepening the kiss, there was a knock at the door.
Just as Spencer was sneaking a few fingers under his husbandâs shirt someone had to go and interrupt typical really they really never had that much time alone with their 4 kids but hey the plus side was that they were so used to being interrupted that when Aiden entered the room they both had a learnt expression of innocence cos traumatising the kids was a big no-no in Spencerâs book. Aiden looked nervous , rubbing the back of his neck playing with the short hair with his long fingers. He reminded Spencer so much of himself when he was younger and he had to confess to his parents that he wrecked his car again or that his grades were due to his teacherâs strong dislike of him and nothing to do with the fact that the only time he opened his Maths book was to hide an embarrassing erection from his mom. So that expression did not usually mean good things.
âWhatâs up Ace?â Spencer asked
âI justâŠhad a question,â Aiden answered, slowly shutting the door behind him. He folded his arms and gripped the side of his shirt anxiously.Â
âSomething wrong?â Alistair replied, becoming more concerned. He sat down on the edge of the bed, and quickly shared a glance with his husband.Â
âNo,â their son said. âI mean, not really, and itâs not like a question really.â Aiden attempted to calm himself, trying to smirk to appear collected. It was what Spencer always used to do to hide some sort of apprehension, and both of Aidenâs parents could read it like a book.Â
âOkayâŠâ Spencer replied, furrowing his eyebrows.Â
Aiden bit his lip and looked at his feet. âTeegan saidâŠthat I could take a date to the wedding.â  He then picked his head up again. âSo, yea.â
âFor sure,â Alistair shrugged. Their son had taken a girl to the last couple of school dances, so he couldnât understand what the big deal was.Â
âWhy would we have a problem with that, Aiden?â Alistair asked, looking at his husband once again and then back at his son.Â
âOh causeâŠâ Aiden muttered. âCause Iâm actually gay. Heâs a guyâŠâ
Spencer relaxed visibly , chuckling slightly to himself only Aiden would be nervous about telling them that he was gay. Alistair was telling him that it was okay and asking details about the boy in question to which Aiden replied stuttering and blushing like crazy shattering his tough guy exterior and Spencer knew that feeling all too well. He smiled brightly at his husband and turned towards their only son.
âSame rule as your sisters no boys in your room after curfew and we meet him before the weddingâ Spencer announced smugly.
