Chateau de Ferrières on the night of the party - 1972 Surrealist Dinner Party [2/3] :

If you were one of the lucky few on the guest list you would be greeted by the front of the chateau flooded with amber lights, making it appear like the building was on fire. Along the staircase up the front door, servants dressed as cats pretended to be asleep - that is, until they welcomed the incoming guests by pawing the walls. Inside a disorienting labyrinth of black ribbons forced guests to find their way, something not all guests mentioned to do successfully. Luckily the ‘cats’ were there to rescue any lost soul and guide them to the festivities; a dinner where the plates were covered in fur and the tables decorated with taxidermied tortoises. The dessert was a woman made of sugar laying in a bed of roses, a scene which resembled a human sacrifice. The bread was blue and the menu had cannibalistic little puns: 'lady and sir-loin’, 'extra-lucid’ soup and 'goat’s cheese roasted in post-coital sadness’.
