I deleted this app because one single search brought up a vomit-cannon of memes that I hated. It is hard to escape garbage.
Went to my first ever comedy workshop last night to work on a presentation I am giving in November that I want to make funny.
Realised there's something worth exploring. Need to keep exploring it.
I think I just invented a Transformers holiday that would be their version of Halloween and also enforces body positivity;
Defect Day
As the name implies, it is a very upside down and ridiculous holiday of which imperfections, defects and one's worst flaws are celebrated rather than shamed. It serves as a reminder than imperfection is not only normal, but it can actually a lot of fun. For example, if never had goofs, mistakes and such, you wouldn't have comedy. Also, natural imperfections like disabilities don't stop you from being amazing or contributing to the world. With that said, people who are considered as outcasts are deemed as stars for the day for their merit and the things about them that are amazing.
Basically, the holiday pokes fun at the wrong and flawed by you doing things that are off and wrong for fun within good taste. Like for instance, walking around in your pajamas, showing your hair rather than covering it, putting your physical flaws on display, eating dessert before the meal and such. It's also the one day no one relies on tech which is the ultimate upside down act on a planet like Cybertron and actually an opportunity to detox from tech. And yes, I imagine Transformers need that too like rediscovering the joy of walking or face to face conversation.
I also imagine it is a holiday of which rubs off on Earth in a good way. Hey, any holiday that encourages self love and give you a moment to make peace with yourself is one I would celebrate.
Poem from a spam message:
I'm captivated by the possibility of chance encounters resonates with a deeper meaning?
lately I've been thinking a fleeting moment can change a beautiful realization?
I find myself wondering about the idea of fate whispers of a beautiful truth?
sometimes a shared smile can change a whole new perspective?
I'm intrigued by the possibility of destiny

Wanted Immigrants was a good night. Thanks to all the performers, including the ones who were too afraid to be photographed due to the racism that the show experienced.
I guess I did not realise how Conservative conspiracy theories seem to creep into any open space, including Tumblr. The assassination of Charlie Kirk, and searching for news about it, has let loose a torrent of awful "content" on this platform that seems to be impossible to now avoid. It is making me think about just getting a website and blogging on there, avoiding all of these "social" places.
I once heard a poem about the difference between bricoleur and bricolage in the context of radical imagination. I wish I could remember the poem, or find it.

My reading lately is looking at critical theory from several perspectives. Adorno's "negative dialectics" interests me especially, because it suggests the necessity of weighing the things we experience in real life with the concepts we're supposed to identify them with. The discrepancies currently are breathtaking.
The concepts of real life are fascinating to me. Last night, I watched a local grandee have a meltdown about not being recognised as the progenitor of a certain primordial swamp and ditched my planned routine to address a long-held hypothesis that those who are afraid of competition are the ones who make the fewest referrals and thus are more likely to have fewer connections to community. I alluded to the challenge of accepting yourself as explicitly "untalented" in order to stop yourself from falling into the ego trap that is not being involved in a community which is critical, because criticism is often based on personal experience. I am reminded in the current environment that philosophy is often cyclical. Thomas Sowell's Vision of the Annointed was about supposed patrician attitudes to supporting welfare reform as a concept removed from reality. Reading it now reminds how fantasy can overtake reality when authoritarianism becomes normal.
Storm Amy. Storm Amy. Storm Amy. My first, second, third and fourth time hosting comedy, there were train strikes. My first paid comedy show, an Andrew Tate fan appeared and I lost the night. My first comedy night at a festival, and there is a major tropical storm approaching. Probably all a complete coincidence.
I made plans to create a "practice enterprise" for some people to learn fundraising skills in a safe and easy environment. The book on skills continues, along with two other fiction writing projects.
