"They're fucking lying- I'm not dead yet!" Rune broke through the door of his office. Pieces of wood flew through the air as she tumbled into the room. She looked a mess. Beaten and bloodied. But she wasn't done fighting. She set her sights on the grunt who escaped her. Rune was set to pounce. Only for her arm to give under her weight and she fell face down.
"Dammit.. I'll.. Fucking- Kill us all!" Blinded by frustration and rage, she didn't mind bringing the whole building down if it meant destroying those who humiliated her.
Izuku watched as Rune stumbled into his room with a quirked eyebrow, holding his hand up to stop the hired thugs from rushing forward at the woman. "You know, most people who want to have meetings send a text beforehand, maybe even a call," as he always did Izuku swallowed his anxiety and fear and hide it beneath the mask he had developed. With a few steps he cleared the distance between them, kneeling in front of her and frowning. "Is that really what you want, to die being known as someone who needed to kill herself to get a win?"
Rune smirked. "A win? I don't care about winning. What I want is desctruction. And destroying you.. That'll be plenty-" A bright blue light flooded the room. And the floor cracked and crumbled away beneath them all.
The air was thick with dust and debris. If she had to guess, she'd say she's under two floors of rubble. Rune moved to push herself to sit up. But when it was time for her legs to move she was met with pain. Holding up her hand with a small amount of blue light emitting from it, she looked around the darkness. Now examining herself, her legs were free. But the left one looked broken. And before she could be finished with that concern, something caught her eye. A trail of crimson just a few feet from her. Rune pointed her light in the direction.
Pain became Izuku's entire world as the floor collapsed under him, folding into himself in order to protect himself from being crushed by the bits of stone that were falling around him. With a cough he pushed a larger bit of stone from himself, holding a hand to his ribs as he felt the bone shift. His guards were both passed out, either dead or out for the count. But it didn't matter in the long run. He dragged himself forward toward Rune, seeing her broken on the ground while he forced himself to stand. "So this is it?" he asked quietly, tilting his head. "You said you don't want a win, that defeating me was enough. But is that really true?" he knelt down, biting the inside of his cheek to swallow his weakness. "You give everything, and now you are going to die alone and buried under ruble. Surly this isn't your dream is it?"
