Future Trunks [ISFJ]

Introverted Sensing (Si) : Past experiences, promises and family roots being so important to him, aside from his main mission that is to keep Goku alive, Trunks also wanted to see and realize for himself whether his father, Goku and friends are true to what he has been told by F.Bulma and F.Gohan (”You’re just like mother said..” and “I never thought things would be like this”) and often nervously compared the Androids and the events involving them to what he knew in his timeline. He is practical, matter-of-fact, very cautious in his approach when enemies as well as new occurrences came up - for example he was down right distrustful of No.16 just because the guy was an programmed Android. He was beating himself over his time traveling, thinking it was a mistake until comforted by others.
Extroverted Feeling (Fe) : Trunk is kind, gentle, full of warmness, His love for his close people as well as all the people of the Earth is the reason he ever fights. He always tried to connect his feelings with people. He is quick to judge Vegeta as heartless - not to him, but to other people - at first, but later forgave him nonetheless, not only because he genuinely put the man’s wellbeing before his, but also he strives for his father’s regconition and approval, He puts so much trust in Goku and loves Vegeta, but couldn’t get how the heck anyone could fight regardless of fear NOT for the sake of others but for own liking, honor and all that “inner” ethics thing - their Fi are too heavy for him. Trunks makes mostly emotional decisions and actions.
Introverted Thinking (Ti) : Trunks studied how the Android worked and found a way to destroy them. He questioned why and how Goku and Vegeta did the things they do, and in a long time came to understand them, especially his father His quick finishing fights are logical enough, compared to those obsessed with fighting. However, his analytical skills is rather weak when it comes to battle: he was defeated by Cell for his technical mistake which Vegeta avoided, and scolded by the man for saying and doing “useless things” (Fe) while not understanding how they roll. ;)
Extroverted Intuition (Ne) : As said with Si he’s nervous and reluctant to unexpected changes and worry a bit much about what could happen. He’s shy, easily flustered when met with new weirdos, yet can be reckless without thinking things through with Si, like believing he could take on the Androids. Still he came to open up to the world in this timeline which his father and Goku was in, allowed himself to hope even more, and his intuition helped with understanding them.
Some thoughts of mine :
- Why Trunks is not a INFJ with dominant Ni : Trunks has one single goal and can be abstractly insightful - something akin to Ni, but he’s too influenced by what he’s experienced in the past. He also is very grounded and doesn’t have either a detachedness to the physical reality nor the dangerous concrete impulsiveness of inferior Se. The exact same could be said for Vegeta. Most people typed father and son INJ but you can’t be a Ni dom and use as much Si as both of them did.
- Why Trunks is in no way INTP : He was dripping with Fe thoughout the two arcs. He’s too emotionally driven to think logically, and his fanboying over Vegeta and Goku, especially desperate need for the man to notice his feelings, is too blatant to be inferior Fe.
-Kid Trunks is an ENTP, the exact opposite of him. As difficult as Vegeta is, Future Trunks actually has MUCH more in common with their father than his present counterpart when it comes to way of thinking. They may be very different in personality, but they are both Si doms, he can understand perfectly what he father valued the most, and he did - their only problem is Vegeta was evil. Kid Trunks however, i’m afraid would find it 9000x times more difficult to get along with Vegeta’s line of thought and vice versa, when he grew up and his father became a good guy. The kid is basically a less hands on, more idea-oriented Bulma (ESTP) while Future Trunks is a less uptight Vegeta (ISTJ) with added FEEEELINGS.
