Uriah Heep - Demons and Wizards (1972)

The first time I dropped the needle down on this record I honestly wasn't feeling it.  Songs about wizards aren't exactly my jam.  But I recently decided to give this album a second chance and I like it so much better this time around.  I'm diggin' the metalesque "Traveller In Time" and the eclectic closing track/medley "Paradise/The Spell."

Meh.  I miss 70's Heart.

The style and photography on this album is so horrific.  It's a good thing the music doesn't match!  Side A of this album is very strong with hits like "What About Love?" "Never," and "These Dreams" but the rest of the album is just mediocre.  They've lost their hard rock, Zeppelin-esque edge and that bums me out.
