The reason Misumaru has barely been relevant since UM and not being this super important and lore-relevant character despite being the one who created the Hakurei yin-yang orbs is because she doesn't have any actual connection to the Hakureis aside from that. She was just the person "commissioned" by them to create their sacred magical objects since she's the god of magatama.
