Can people please stop using their roleplay blogs as political or news opinions blog? This is really not the place for activism, because we all come here to have an escape from the real world for a little while. There are much better ways to help out your causes than to rant about them on a roleplay blog. I don't really want to be constantly reminded of bad things happening in the world everywhere I turn. I need a break from it. Please guys, I'm begging here .-.

this is actually the worst take i’ve ever seen ?? do you know how privileged you have to be to get to ignore “constant reminders” of things going on ?? wtf ?? people actually HAVE TO LIVE THROUGH THAT !! TO SUFFER & ENDURE IT !! WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE RPC ??! any ounce of human compassion & decency will make you realize that not everything is about your personal comfort, that there are living, breathing innocent people that need their voices to be heard especially when there are so many governments, so many others are against them.

i honestly find it so appalling that so many blogs in the rpc are straight up ignoring what’s going on in the world. like, seriously ?? of course it’s hard to watch the genocides, the pillaging, the starvation of countries like Palestine, Congo, Sudan, Yemen etc, no one is saying you have to be an activist, to be on the frontlines- but those who are suffering deserve some empathy & the least we can do as a collective is to educate ourselves & others, to do our parts in spreading the word & help information reach as many people as possible.

furthermore; if you can spend so much of your time complaining about trivial things, or debating the insensitivity of fandoms like HP & Stranger Things (which i both deeply despise, not siding with but just using examples) instead of focusing on things that actually make a difference then i don’t know what to say, other than when you say you care about the things that those fandoms or portrayals attack, at the end of the day, you really truly fucking don’t.

like, cherry-picking on tumblr & within the rp community is SO prevalent it’s actually insane. especially when there are so many people who claim to hate bigotry, racism etc yet only condemn the fandoms or things which directly affect them. it reminds me of this post i saw earlier, that went something along the lines of “when people need money to make it to the next day, tumblrinas stay silent. when people across the world are starving & dying & have literal genocide being committed against them, tumblrinas stay silent. but god forbid AO3 goes down or a racist homophobe needs funding, the call for action is defeating & the donations keep rolling in.”

… i mean come on ?? sometimes i wonder if you guys are secretly just bigoted & uneducated but play the part otherwise - or worse, refuse to educate yourself & stand up for what you actually believe in.

it's so important no matter what community to speak on what is happening; palestine, congo, sudan, yemen, etc. these topics are not INCONVENIENCES -- the world will not stop to put a trigger warning on every fucking thing just to keep you in mind. left and right there are people that are being silenced, it is up to those who are ABLE TO to shed light on these situations no matter how devastating.

the replies in this thread aren't shocking, but they are frustrating. WAH WAH my wittle feelings are HURT because i dont want to see people talking about a FUCKING GENOCIDE. if you have a problem with someone on tumblr talking about it, unfollow them, but honestly it does show where you stand.
