The IQ Perfetto hairdryer is an ultralight, compact, minimalist hairdryer. The iQ Perfetto is the perfect balance between an elegant, modern design and professional performance.

MARCH PEARL

Whether decorating larger hair accessories or dotting the hair delicately, pearls are a lovely touch and a cute Spring/Summer hair accessory trend. On the Andrew Gn runway, pearls were threaded through braids, buns and cornrows and Rodarte had pearls dotted through the hair for a romantic look. The glamourous pearl head pieces made of strings of pearls were draped over heads at Khaite.

ELASTICIZER TREATMENT.

This month’s Focus Friday, we had training with Philip Kingsley in the application and technique used to get the most out of your in salon Elasticizer Treatment.

Elasticizer, the iconic hair mask treatment, was originally created over 40 years ago for Audrey Hepburn to keep her hair looking healthy and beautiful whilst on set, due to constant processing and styling taking its toll. The world’s first pre-shampoo treatment has since become a beauty icon, with an incredible celebrity following, including Cate Blanchett, Kate Winslet and Georgia Jagger. The multi-award winning hair product has won over 28 awards and has dramatically improved the health of countless heads of hair.

COLD WEATHER HAIR

Cold and dry air can actually cause the cuticle of the hair strand to slightly lift. The dryness and breakage that comes with Winter weather also isn’t doing your hair colour any favours.

Apart from wearing a hat you should always get a regular trim and try lowering the temperature of your shower. Letting hair air dry as much as possible and making sure it’s completely dry when leaving the house will also help.

A good deep conditioning mask once a week will work wonders. The L’Oreal Serie Expert range of masks are great for Winter hair. For Colour treated and highlighted hair the Vitamino Colour Mask £14.75 or the Absolu Repair Mask £14.75, an instant resurfacing mask.

CLARIFYING SHAMPOO

NEW YEAR’S EVE HAIR

Twisted Half up. When you want to wear your hair down but still want to make it a bit special, a half up-do is perfect. A pretty twisted variation with tousled waves is perfect.

Half up Bouffant. For a glitzy night out a retro half up and half down style-the classic bouffant look is never out of fashion.

Knot Bun. The knot bun will go with any outfit, so if you are planning your outfit at the last minute at least you won’t be worrying about your hair.
