His bewildered expression remained, following the male’s gaze until, wide-eyed, James jumped back upon seeing the wolf. “Woah! That’s what was uncertain of me?”

"Not a 'that'…he.” Torak corrected, reassuring his brother by scratching his head. “He finds you interesting in a good way, not in a bad one. He’s just cautious with everyone he meets.” He explained.

Wolf had began to walk towards the stumbling talltailess. He admitted the small one interested him, always cautious with newcomers but curious about some.

James blinked several times in his frozen stance under Wolf's gaze, still in awe of the creature. "Well pardon my misunderstanding," he blurted, cautiously beginning to straighten his posture. "But I'm grateful it's in good light."

The boy gulped and cleared his throat, "So you run with wolves, eh?"

"Nice to meet you Jamie..Yes, my woods..I own it..my family has owned it for many years.." 

She became a little more hesitant about the other question..she knew the answer..she was part of the answer, but it might frighten him off..

"Well, I mean I’ve heard rumors..There’s an old story about a boy and his sister who went ice skating a long time ago and the ice began to crack. The boy saved his sister, but he died in the process.."

Emma could feel the tears in her eyes but she forced them away.

"Then the sister died a few year later..they say that her spirit still lives her, in the woods, trying to find her older brother so that they can be a family again..so the story goes.."

In truth, Emma wasnt lying about the story..

Well, that made sense. In response to her initial answer, he gave a respectful nod.

But as she continued, Jamie’s reaction must have been the opposite that she expected - eyes lit and lips curled. It wasn’t the tragedy itself that had him excited, but instead, the fact he knew exactly what she was talking about.

"That’s no rumor," Jamie assured her, but bit his lip, contemplating for a moment if he should continue.

Ah, the Hell with it. She was the woodsy girl; it probably wouldn’t be the strangest thing she’d heard.

"Emma, you’re gonna think I’m crazy," he started, keeping his voice low, "But I know the brother."

Emma raised an eyebrow…not a lot of people believed in her older brother..But then again she knew it was possible.

"Trust me, I’ve been through a lot of crazy things in my life..but this is weird..What does the brother look like?" She asked curiously

Jamie crossed his arms, head held high in convince despite his brief hesitation prior to answering, "Well, as I've seen him, he's got snow white hair and striking blue eyes, always wears this blue hoodie and carries a staff. Although, something tells me that isn't how he always looked, coming from his time."

"That is a shame, but it’s still good she can have that personal teaching environment to help her."

"Now, is that so? Well then, all the more reason for you to join me! Tomorrow it is then."

"Uh huh and I’m sure it’s not that different, either."

"Yay! I can’t wait to tell Elsa! Oh, have you seen the castle? You should see the castle!"

In spite of the other’s realization, James offered a frail smile, shoulders shaking with silent laughter. The reunion had been long overdue, even when he never imagined to see Jack again, and he didn’t want to spend it solemnly. Besides, he always hated seeing his old friend fret over him. “It’s been what…Three centuries? People just don’t live that long.”

"…I’ve seen him, you know. Jamie. He’s a good boy.”

Jack chuckled. “Right…it’s hard to believe it’s been that long.” He sighed and paced with his staff on his shoulders. “Yeah…his a good kid. Reminds me of you sometimes.”

"It's no wonder. I don't know how it's possible, but there is a part of me in him. I know sometimes I'm able to get visions from him, but I'm not sure if it works vice versa. I receive sensations too..like I'm alive but..elsewhere; 'out of body experience' I suppose you could call it."

"Oh, she is kind indeed, and I’m sure her accommodations are as comfortable as Elsa’s, but you know what they say, ‘The grass is always greener on someone else’s lawn’, it appears." He flashed a bright grin as Olaf figured it out. "No, unfortunately not everyone has access to that, but I’m very much enjoying the education I’m receiving now, here! Though, I’ve only just begun - mostly basics in the kingdom’s early history."

"And who knows, perhaps one day I can sneak you into class with me?"

Olaf rubbed the back of his neck idly as he then nodded understandingly. “Well, Anna can’t really go to regular school like everyone else or she might not pay attention. She tends to get distracted easily. History? I only know a little myself.”

"Oooh! I’d love that! Tomorrow? Can I come tomorrow?"

"Well what about me?" He asked. "I’m just here because my brother wasn’t sure if you were safe, but after a bit I think he can come out now." he told him, turning around. A figure emerging from the shadows with a huff. Thick grey fur surrounding its body, ears perked up and alert. "Wolf, you don’t need to be so cautious with this guy."

“A little different? Jackson, your hair is elders’ white, and your eyes are ice blue - and by God, what is this fashion that you’re wearing?” He crossed his arms, heaving a sigh, knowing ‘It’s a long story’ meant to delay the answer. However, his concern only grew with Jack’s next question.

"Don’t you remember..? I was sick. I withered before you."

Jack finally put one and one together. “Of course…” He sighed. “That’s the only reason I could see you now…you’re dead.” He looked down. “I’m so sorry….”

  The boy was maybe a year younger than her physical form, and he looked quite familiar, but she couldnt put a finger on it..

Oh well.

She came down the hill and smiled brightly, not trying to scare him off

"Hey, sorry about that, frighting you up there..I dont normally see people here in my woods..but your welcome to come anytime.."

Shut up Emma, she thought, Your talking his ear off..

She shook the thought away and held out her hand for a handshake

"The names Emma..Emma Overland.."

Jamie too was able to breathe a sigh of relief as the girl approached; she looked normal enough, though definitely not the type to be paranormal investigating.

Nevertheless, something about the way she talked intrigued him, and he found he couldn’t really judge her anymore the way she said her woods.

It earned a crooked grin from the teen as he reached out to lightly shake her hand. “Your woods, eh Emma? I take it you come here often? Maybe you could save me some time…Do spirits actually speak here?”

"Oh, and I’m Jamie, by the way. Jamie Bennett."

"Anyway - " He snapped his fingers in feign disappointment. "So now what are you supposed to be? Cuz if you’re not gonna be the Invisible Man, that means I have to change my Visible Man get up.”

As he stepped closer, James retreated a bit, though the name was swift to strike a chord. He tilted his head, eyes squinted as he examined the other for a moment. A brief resemblance of nostalgia washed over his features only to be replaced by confusion.

"What’s happened to you..?"

Jack chuckled. “Yeah…I probably look a little different than the last time you saw me.” He ran his hand through his hair. “It’s a long story. But, what happened to you?”

                  questioned the boy, arching a brow curiously. At the question of his halloween costume, Jack gave a shrug. “Nah, I think it was a bit too scary last year.”

"With all due respect to my own Queen, Her Majesty, Elsa, does sound quite fantastic," he commented. James then cleared his throat to give his answer, "Oh, it’s alright, but it breeds a certain type of humanity, I’d say. Stiff, such as myself can be. However, I am here to study abroad - in actuality, to learn the legends of this land and find evidence of its wonders and mysteries, then to analyze it with pen and paper."

"She really is but I think Elsa met your Queen when we visited. She said your Queen was very nice to her." He said politely out of truth and respect. "Study abroad? Oh! Go to school. I thought everyone had a tutor like Anna does but that sounds so fun. I wish I could do that but I know Elsa would want to keep me close. Are you enjoying Arendelle so far? What have you learned?"
