I am very amused by one (1) man who looks very snug but not at all menacing in his Russian hat
Basically to prove my point from my last post
The character first comes into office with henchmen…this makes sense it’s an establishing shot that he’s someone not good although the scar-faced villain trope is a bit problematic
And this is the next scene he’s in where he pushes a guy into the street and you can almost rationalize the face shot except there’s a segment of him walking into the frame too instead of the typical just showing the villain pushing the guy into the street
Followed a few scenes later by this which is normally the kind of scene you’d use for the character to deliver an insightful line but this was just for a facial closeup?
And next time he appears is in this scene which clearly has some dramatic lighting on his face
And a little later the main characters almost run him over
Not a full-on closeup, but this was his second bit of dialogue in the whole movie and it was basically a strangely extended scene of him on the phone with Ed Harris’s character
Okay this one is actually a cool shot
Extended sequence of him driving the bullet-riddled car
And finally the scene before the car explodes where his struggle to escape makes it almost seem like we’re supposed to be sympathetic to his plight? Which I mean the death sequence could have been easily achieved through just showing the car rolling over and exploding without showing him inside it
And I mean don’t get me wrong, I’m not even fully complaining I just feel like I’m not the only one who is in love with his face…although then again, Geostorm is a Dean Devlin film so that makes sense.
Moriarty’s clothes ft. what is actually one of the first blankets I ever owned.
I now own an outfit that David wore in The Librarians
I may have kind of been stalking David’s Facebook page while at work like some weirdo fangirl, but look at the cute I found.
A table of villains rejoices when Mr. Black has been brought before them. As the head villain, who's wearing an eye patch, calls for a toast, his server pops the cork of the bottle, hitting him in his good eye. Southwest airlines suggests a getaway for the server during its Fall Travel Sale.
Another commercial with David in it. In this case he’s actually dressed and acting rather normally, which is a change.
The Librarians meme season 2 ⇒ Nine Anything: Outfits [9/9] ↳ Moriarty’s suit
David Lee in commercials in 2011 and 2018
More amused than I should be that Twitter finally put my two Davids on my feed next to eachother.
An old behind the scenes pic from season two.
