I would just like to point out, Pitch is on it’s money when it comes to representation.

This show is NEEDED and NECESSARY. So, tell your friends, and the people posting on here about representation to get in formation and watch this show:

It’s got a black female lead who’s allowed to be a person, who is deeply cared for by the people around her, who is respected, who’s allowed to be all the things SHE wants to be.

It’s got a black married couple with black, carefree boys

It’s got an Asian male who stood up to his white woman boss. A character who is being given depth and a voice.

It’s got a Cuban refugee catcher who casually comments about how hot men and women are and doesn’t balk at the fact his pitcher is a woman.

There are platonic male/female relationships.

There are REAL female/female relationships.

This show is it, fam. So if you’re waiting for something to be perfect, I’ll caution you that you may be waiting forever. Support this show. It’s so good, and it’s so worthy, and it needs to be seen.

Pitch Writing Campaign

Hello Pitches,

Last week Ginny Baker’s season ended and we haven’t heard anything from Fox regarding renewal for next season. Ginny’s story is too important to be silenced so early in the game. Let’s take this opportunity during their silence to let our voices be heard!

Most of us have already been using the hashtag #RenewPitch across all social media platforms, mainly Twitter. The hashtag has been our greatest means of letting the network know how passionate and relentless we are about renewal.

In addition to using the hashtag we encourage all fans of the show to send physical letters and emails to the Fox executives to let them know how important Ginny Baker’s story is and that it is far from over. We need her to stay in the game….on the air. Be sure to mention where you are from and if you are in the show’s target demo and of course include what the show means to you.

We would also like to extend our reach to the MLB commissioner, Rob Manfred. As we all know MLB and Fox entered into an unprecedented agreement to give the show access to team names, stadiums etc. to make it feel authentic. MLB has a lot riding on the success of Pitch as well.

Please write Mr. Manfred and let him know what impact seeing a woman in the MLB on television has had on you. Are you a new baseball fan because of Ginny Baker? Let him know. Has someone in your life become a new fan because of the show? Mention it. Are you are an old fan with a renewed love of the game because of Pitch? That too is worth mentioning. He needs to know how far reaching the show has been in our lives.
