If Youâre Still Writing Pitch Fic
Thank you. Please keep it up if you can find it in your heart to do so. We still very much love Baker and Lawson and itâs great to see them alive in fan works!Â
If youâve started a Bawson baby fic please finish it. Historically only one or two have ever been finished. Weâre always wondering about those ones.Â
Weâve missed you guys and hope that you are well. Say hello over on Twitter @PitchStreetTeam sometime.Â

me, banging my fists on the table: I! WANT! GINNY! BAKER! BACK!
what is a submariner reliever?
oh boy oh boy oh boy
submariner pitchers (almost always relievers for reasons i will get to) are some of my favorite types of pitchers, if for no other reason than theyâre just so damn weird

I really don't believe that the fight for Pitch is over. I do not accept that in the age of tv shows like The Handmaid's Tale and Orange is the New Black and movies like Wonder Woman and Hidden Figures, that Pitch wasn't successful. Given the state of our world right now, Pitch is right on the money when it comes to representation. Not only is Pitch perfect for the times, it may even be ahead of its time. I think it's creators know this and there must be something we can do!
Sorry to break it to you but, the fight for Pitch is over. We have been going hard for just over six solid months now.Â
Six. Solid. Months.Â
Consistently.Â
No days off.Â
We understand how you feel. We literally feel the same exact way - it is an INJUSTICE. In our day and age a show as moving, powerful, and fantastic as Pitch should not be cancelled. Ginnyâs story should not be cut short. But it is and it was. It is infuriating. We GET it. We could go on and on about what makes Pitch so special and so great and so needed, in fact we have - in dozens of letters sent out to Fox, Hulu, & etc. But the fact remains that despite our efforts, it is gone. It will not be coming back if we are to believe what weâve heard from Fox and Hulu. Maybe we can get some closure, but we donât know if thatâs going to happen so we need to start taking care of ourselves & each other.Â
The creators know how special the show is, they fought for TEN years to even get it made. They get it too. But it isnât up to them, and it unfortunately isnât up to us either. Pitch was ahead of itâs time. We have to try and start to heal, we cannot keep tearing ourselves up over this. Self-care is so important right now. It hurts and itâs going to hurt for a long time. We have to do our best to heal our hearts that is the only step left.
Are you guys going to still run this account?
Yep!! Weâll be around! PST isnât going anywhere.Â
We just will not be running more campaigns. We did our best as a fandom and itâs time for us to call the game. But we wonât be disappearing into the void. We love the pitches and weâll always be around to talk PitchÂ
1. I have an idea! So like most of Pitch's fans I'm really not ready to let the show go. It's just too important. I know Kevin Falls talked about doing a goodbye episode but what if we campaigned for a goodbye season?
2. Ok so hear me out: Iâve been reading about shows that have been saved by fans and it seems that when fans campaigned for them they were brought back for a season or two (e.g. Roswell, Jericho). I know we would all love Pitch to continue for multiple seasons but it seems like that prospect is unlikely and I think we would much rather have a full season (with potentially more than 10 epsâŠ) to see Ginnyâs story wrapped up.
3. If we beg&plead for a farewell season they might listen. We already know that we have Pitchâs creators and actors attention. Now what we need is to find a place to put Pitch and I think with the creators help we can do that! Itâs happened before it can happen again!Â
Hi there anon!
We feel your pain. We are also in despair because we know Ginny Baker deserved better. We have been asking ourselves for a month and half how Fox couldnât see the gem they had in their possession. Ginny Baker deserved a better ending to her story than she got.
Weâre going to be frank with you, not because we want to damper your hope or crush any spirits, but because you need to lower your expectations to take care of your heart. Kevin said it was unlikely that he could get them to give us a closure episode but that he was trying regardless. That is an incredible gesture from our showrunner to the fans. Heâs doing his best on his end to get us SOMETHING even if itâs not ultimately what we wanted (which was at least one more short season).Â
We have read all of the literature on past fan campaigns in preparation for our own. We know that sometimes fan campaigns work and sometimes they just donât. Unfortunately, there have been campaigns in the past that had very high levels of participation that still didnât bring their show back.Â
We have been campaigning for six months. Six, very solid months. Consistently. No days off. No vacations. Like, literally Kelci was in the middle of the ocean with her family and Sabrina with hers on a mainland trip at one point working on the campaigns every day.Â
We have been in the trenches the longest and we are tired. We have been begging and pleading for half a year. We have proved we aint too proud to beg, but the time for begging has passed. No amount of begging will get us a whole goodbye season.
Letâs just be real ok, Kevin saying itâs unlikely weâll get a closure episode means asking for a whole closure season will be even more unlikely. We cannot in good conscience ask people to ask for something that they will most likely not get. The odds are against us on this one and it hurts so much but we have to accept it. We cannot ask for a mile when theyâve extended us maybe an inch. Maybe. Itâs not set in stone, we may not get it and we have to face that fact as well. While we hope that we do get it so we can have some closure, we know that it may not happen.Â
We need to start taking care of ourselves and protecting our hearts. We understand your passion because we feel it too, but you need to lower expectations. Weâll be so blessed to get a series finale episode.
Where are you guys? I miss you're posts đ
Weâre around! Havenât dropped off the face of the earth! Hard to believe it we know, but we do have real lives. Weâve been out here hustling for a long time and we now need to focus on our self-care.
We love the pitches and weâll always be around for you guys! We just wonât be running anymore campaigns unless something really calls for it.Â
Thanks so much for supporting us!!!
So are we officially done now? :( I'm so sorry if this sounds ungrateful. I really am sooo appreciative of everything you guys have done. Thank you for giving us something to hope for
We are officially done now, sorry. Thank you for supporting the campaign!!
HUGE thank you to everyone who has participated in any of the numerous campaigns over the past half year. We love you all so much and together we did make a difference. Believe that. We made our voices heard - thatâs just as important as getting the outcome we hoped for.Â
Thank you x a million to every single Pitch who helped out in any way they could. We love ya.Â
IDK how to prompt so ignore me if this isnt anything but bawson: mike is the little spoon to ginny's big spoon. pss Love love love your writing
Thank you!! Sorry for the long wait!
makes you feel safe | ao3
The house is peacefully still when Ginny walks in the front door, footfalls heavy and echoing in the otherwise silent entry. Her bags drag in her hands, like gravityâs pulling on them just a little bit harder than usual, like it knows exactly how exhausted she is. Happily, gratefully, she drops them by the door along with her shoes. She can deal with them in the morning.
Right now, all she wants to do is crawl into bed and wrap herself up in her comforter and a strong pair of arms.
The quiet is pierced by the chirp of the unarmed alarm system. With a rueful shake of her head, she pushes the door all the way shut and keys in the code to activate it.Â
She knows Mike is a big, strong man and there are at least three baseball bats in any given room in the house, but most of those are in display cases and it usually takes him at least two tries to get out of bed if his knees arenât cooperating in the morning. Thatâs more than enough opportunity for a robber to get the jump on him. The least he could do is set the alarm when heâs home alone. Thatâs what itâs there for. After all, how pissed would he be if he came home one night to find she hadnât set the alarm?Â
Ginny can imagine the lecture now, Mikeâs bearded face hovering over hers as he shakes her awake, rambling about crime statistics in La Jolla before sheâs even fully conscious.Â
Her snort splits into a jaw-cracking yawn, which she takes as her cue to get her ass to bed.

Mike, take that off right now!
âWhat? Â I think I look pretty good with a little red to go with my blue,â he says with a waggle of his eyebrows.
âYou look ridiculous,â she says, unamused from where she sits perched on the couch. Â Her hair is swiped to the side of her head, and her barefeet are pulled up to rest on the cushion, enclosing herself with her own limbs.
âAnd if I look good in this, shit, think of how good youâll look in it,â he teases with an air of truth in his voice, as he plops down next to her, grabbing hold of one of her knees as he goes, the wedding ring adorning his finger adding a shiver to her legs with his touch.
âIâm not doing it, so you can just take that off, and get back into the colors we both know you belong in,â she says with a twist of her head and a determined look shadowing her lips.
âGin,â he says gently, removing the cap from his head, smoothing down his hair.
She refuses to look at him, instead focusing on the glittering rings adorning her own hands, twisting them around her finger, a nervous habit sheâd adopted the minute the diamond had found its way to her hand years ago.
The calluses rubbing against the shiny metal, a contrast she was never able to wrap her mind around, the idea of having gotten everything she couldâve dreamed of as a kid not quite sitting right with her.
âAlright, letâs hear it. Â What are you scared of?â Â He pries, chewing on his gum, twisting himself to face her with a grunt, as she continued to stare at her hands.
âScared? Â Iâm not scared of anything, old man,â she says with a false bravado that he wasnât buying for a second if the puff of air against her face was any indication of the silent laugh he was bolstering at her.
She peeks at him through her lashes, his face patiently waiting for her answer, he real answer.
With a deep sigh, she lowers her legs, his hand remaining on her knee even as it hit the cushion. Â Her hands stilling, this time busying themselves with his hand, wrapping them both around his large one, the diamond resting atop the pyramid of flesh.
âIs it so wrong to just be happy and not want to move?â Â She questions, glancing over at him, her big brown eyes begging for answers.
Theyâd been married for years at this point, survived his retirement, endless gossip, and family drama, their relationship the last thing she was worried about. Â His opinion something she valued, had since the beginning.
âNo,â he answers with a bearded grin.
âThen why does everyone keep second guessing my decision?â She throws out frustratingly with a shrug of her shoulders. Â The hope that one day people would take her word for what it was, and not assume they knew better.
âI remember your rookie year, you telling me that Chicago was a good opportunityâŠâ
âNo, no. Â I very distinctly remember begging you to stay,â she says with a dimpled grin, not even about to deny that she had never wanted him to leave.
âOkay, fair enough. Â But I donât think people are trying to tell you what to do, just making sure that youâre turning down something for the right reasons,â he assures her with a squeeze of his hand.
âWhat are the right reasons?â She says, her eyes wide, every trace of stubborn harbored momentarily to the fear of making the wrong choice.
âOnly youâd know that, Rookie,â he says, placing the cap heâd discarded onto her head.
âRedâs not really my color,â she says, freeing her hand, her finger tracing over the bill.
âSounds like a good enough reason to me,â he jokes, hitting the bill, tipping the cap into her face.
âSmooth,â she says dryly.
âYouâre not a rookie anymore, you can choose what you want,â he says, tilting her chin up to see her face hidden underneath the hat.
âI donât want to take the deal,â she says, firm, concrete.
âThen it looks like weâre staying here,â he confirms, lacing their fingers together.
âYep,â she agrees, leaning her head against his shoulder.
âBut for the record, red is definitely your color.â
Leave the first sentence of a fic in my ask box and I will write the next five sentences.
Iâve been wondering where these ficlets have gone, Iâve missed them!!!!!! Need more, like always haha!! LOVE IT!!!!! đđ
i was too sick to get one out last week. but i appreciate the support. glad you enjoyed it!
Sometimes my conversations with God are about serious matters and big convictions.
And other times, theyâre just about my day, and my personal life, and my dreams for the future, and all kinds of ordinary things like the weather.
Whatâs amazing is how He always listens so attentively. And I think thatâs the way prayer really ought to be. Like chatting with a good friend.
Ohhh Bawson number 41 or 43!!
A Small Bump
Summary: I swear it was an accident.â
Ruthie bumps her head and itâs Mike to the rescue.
Iâm a slut for a slow burn. Actually, Iâm a slut for a lot of things but weâre not talking about that right now. Anyway, this is another TBPAAB outtake. As for an actual update to the story, Iâm not sure when Iâll have one.
âWeâre in here!â Ginny calls at the sound of the front door opening. Mikeâs thudding footfalls echo in the hallway as he rushes to the play room.
Ruthieâs still wailing when he gets there, sitting beside the table that he guesses is the source of the scarlet bump on her head. He looks over at Ginny, her own face flushed. He can swear there are tear streaks on her face (she did sound a weepy on the phone when she called to tell him Ruthie had banged her head). He picks the baby up, shushing her gently and rubbing her back. âItâs okay. Itâs okay. Daâs here. Itâs okay, Pudge.â

and i miss pitch T____T
Pitch 1x09 | Part of me wants you to leave for the same reason you want to leave.
I absolutely CANNOT deal with the subtext and layered dialogue in this scene! đ© Like, who wrote this shit, who directed these two, who exactly is responsible for all these nuanced things that will send me spiraling every time a gifset is made about some tiny aspect of âBawson @ the Barâ.
I mean, look at the flash of vulnerability on her face. Take in how he lets go of the breath he was holding as he looks away and assesses if her non-answer is in fact the answer to the real question he is afraid to ask.
Donât touch me. Iâm here feeling feelings, man.
Pitch 1x09 | A date, huh? Oh.
đ Ginnyâs internal dialogue - âCODE RED CODE RED CONCEAL DONâT FEEL!â
Itâs like every single movement and line in this scene is loaded; from the moment she walked in until the moment they stepped away from each other outside - every minute of conversation (verbal and otherwise) is worth talking about.
âBawson in Boardnersâ, the scene that keeps on giving.
