Everyone who likes Tangled needs to sit down, shut up, and watch this.
Oh my God I am going to bring this back because I still love this video so much.
Hey ya'll! The name's Leanne and I am one of the original members of the Sunday Crew. I'm also a tad bit overdue on making one of these little introductions, haha. I've been an AP since 1995, but my adventures with characters and the crew didn't start until late 2007. Over the years, I met so many wonderful friends who I love and adore. They're totally awesome.Â
I'm a 20 year old animation nerd, striving to get into CalArts. Cartoons and drawing are pretty much my life. Sketching at Disneyland is definitely one of my favorite things to do, though I have the attention span of a brick...I could be anywhere doing anything at anytime.Â
My favorite ride at Disneyland is probably Splash Mountain, being that i'm a huge fan of Brer Rabbit and the gang. Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin is a VERY close second. Picking a favorite show is a bit more difficult...though, i'd probably have to say the Main Street Electrical Parade. I remember being in absolute awe seeing it for the first time when I was 3 or 4. I remember staring outside my window, hoping the Blue Fairy and the other floats would come down my street, haha.Â
My favorite Disney character of all time is easily Roger Rabbit. It's actually because of his movie that made me really want to work in animation. While i've seen him plenty of times in shows, i've never actually met the character at Disneyland. I always hope that one day i'll finally get that chance.Â
Aside from Disneyland and animation, my other interests include Nintendo, traveling, comics, attending conventions, animals (cats are my favorite!), drowning myself in nostalgia and doing my best to bring a smile and laughter to everyone I meet~

Hi! I really like your blog and the idea of hanging out at Disneyland every sunday. I thought I was the only Disney fan out there. XD I was just wondering, how often does Merida meet at Disneyland and is she in any parades? Thank you!
Merida visits Disneyland every day. However, her visits are really brief due to the fact that her meet-and-greet area is actually on the parade route! She comes by around eight o'clock (when the Park opens), and stays until two-thirty or three in the afternoon. I forget which. It might even be three-thirty, but that seems to be cutting it close to parade time.
She isn't in any parades, but she has a segment in Disney California Adventure's World of Color show!

What exactly is Dancin' with Disney?
Dancin' With Disney is a family-friendly dance party that takes place over in Stage 17 at Disney California Adventure. It's where everyone can go to dance with a very interesting selection of Disney characters, ranging from Cruella de Vil and Captain Hook, to Marie from The Aristocats and Clara Cluck.
It's a nice little place to go to escape the heat, but only if you can handle the music that they play. Some of it's not so bad, but they do play a lot of current Disney Channel stuff, and songs from 10 years ago that you thought you'd never hear again. There are big plastic chairs to sit in, as well, if you don't feel like being silly and dancing to things like the Hoedown Throwdown.
Honestly, I think Dancin' With Disney is kind of adorable, and I hope it sticks around for a while.

How do you guys feel about the annual pass price raise? Is it going to effect any of your crew members?
It's one hell of a raise, but I understand why they did it. I mean, gotta pay for Carsland and all the new stuff somehow!
And actually, the price raise is really pushin' my budget right now but mostly because I don't work. So I guess it's more incentive for me to get a job.

Do any of you planning on going to Disneyland July 1st for the official Disney VidCon Day?? (And possibly see YouTube celebs IN Disneyland!!) It just so happens to be on a Sunday...
I'm not too savvy with YouTube people and whatnot, personally, but there's a chance some of us might find our way there on that particular Sunday regardless.

I don't have a pass right now but if I manage to get another one before then there's no way I'm missing it.

Who all is in the Sunday Crew, exactly?
Oh, there are a lot of us. So many, that actually not everyone is attached to this blog.
For those of us who are, tho, there's a meet the crew section :)
What to keep in mind when taking/making/shooting photos at Disneyland or anywhere else? Because you guys always snap a photo right at the moment that i find makes it unique.
Well, when it comes to shows and parades, it's really helpful to be familiar with it. A lot of the time, we know the choreography for the show so well that we know when we can and cannot take pictures. (For example, Power Surge at ElecTRONica was one thing I photographed regularly and that opened with Seperate Ways by Journey. Whenever I hear that song, I still think "click" every time it gets to a point when a nice potential picture would come up.)
Also with shows, take a bunch of test shots and check your photos regularly. I can't count how many times my photos have been ruined by too slow of a shutter speed or too low of an ISO.
When it comes to characters, things aren't as easy because their moves aren't choreographed. With them you just have to be ready and have your camera set up to get a picture quickly. There isn't really time there to struggle with settings. It's more difficult, but pictures can be wonderful when you get it down.
I hope I was somewhat helpful. Good luck to anyone planning on going and photographing the parks :)

So... this is a group who hangs out at Disneyland every Sunday... and just chills. I don't get it. What's the huge deal? No offense, but I don't why everyone's hating and/or loving you guys. You're just a group of friends, like anyone else, right? Or am I missing something entirely?
I like you, anon. You get exactly what we're about. Seriously, that's all we do. Idg why people make such a big deal out of us.
-Â Lizzi
So we've got a few anons in our ask box.
And I hope you don't think it rude of us not to answer those anons.
We simply don't want to flood people's dashes with love or hate for us.
For those that support us, thank you. For those that don't, that's alright. We'll keep doing what we do because we love it.
And one of our anons was right: We are just a group of friends like anyone else.
So that's that, then.
If we get anymore messages about this, positive or negative, we will read them but there's a good chance we won't publish them.

I interrupt the onslaught of Sunday crew hate to bring Sunday crew love. -throws love at the Sunday crew-
Aw, gee. Thanks so much!
-- Jade
so are you guys a bunch of disneyland employee wannabes? your obsession with the park and the characters is really creepy. you understand that it's a children's amusement park...right?
Actually, it's a Family Theme Park. thx.
so the sunday crew is a bunch of losers who hang out at disneyland every week? do you guys not have lives?
Basically.
-Â Lizzi
“I hate going to Disneyland only to be judged by people like the Sunday Crew. They make me feel unwanted and that kills my joy of Disney. Disneyland should be a place where everyone is invited. Why do they get territorial over Disneyland? It’s not theirs to have. It’s a place the world can come to laugh, play, and have fun.”
….I…don’t…understand…what?
We seriously do not judge other people unless they have given us a very, very specific reason to judge them, and that’s usually having them straight forward bash us or our friends. You know…reasons anyone would judge another person. We don’t just judge and insult people for no reason.
And we do not get territorial. We don’t say it’s ours to have. We understand that we do not own this place, and that we are not the only people who go there regularly. And we do not care. At all. Now, if you go regularly and are incredibly rude to us, we may wish you weren’t there. But we do not expect you to leave.
Disneyland is our place to laugh, play, and have fun. It’s the only place all of us can easily see each other. That’s what it is to us. And it’s been that way for going on five years now. I don’t understand why people online suddenly hate us when no one has complained like this in the past.
And here’s the thing. If we’ve ever wronged you…TELL. US. Do not just submit a damn secret to Walt Disney Confessions. Message one of us (not anonymously) and say “Hey, I feel like you guys are judging me. I want to know why.” or whatever. All of us hate being judge and hate being made to feel unwanted. That’s honestly why we’ve banded together. So we would never try to make people feel this way. So TELL US.
do u have to like squishy to be in sunday crew?
I actually never knew him. >_>
