Her words (via ig @nazpainting):
Since I have been in Italy, I have been greatly influenced by the masterpieces of Italian artists and I am inspired by them so much.
I used this masterpiece of #gentileschi (Judith Slaying Holofernes) to represent the suppressed anger of Iranian women for hundreds of years.

“Blind eyes to make paths for the muted mind
Blood like tears marking every sin
Crimson vines that comes from the heart
Stroking and choking
Growing silent for every aching moaning.”

Hypothetically speaking, let's say you had a problem with a nosy neighbor and you wanted to make a window covering based on a creepy art piece, which would you choose?
Oh, that’s a fantastic question.
As far as martyrs go, I have a particular fondness for Saint Lucia (or Lucy). She’s typically depicted with her eyes on a plate - which might be a little spooky for someone who has a tendency to peep.
She’s the patron saint of the poor, so if your neighbor asks - you just have her there to help remind and motivate you to do charity work, or give to the needy. Maybe this is just you embracing your Swedish culture?
As far as specifics, I would probably chose something a bit more modern. In a lot of older art, she has eyes in her head while she’s holding her original eyes on a plate. In my opinion, giving her eyes back kinda cheapens the sacrifice - and we’re trying to unnerve someone.
