Alright! This is the first commission I was requested after upgrading to csp ^^

Super fun and discovered my own little chibi style too ^^

The initial sketch looks nothing like the final

Communicated a LOT with this one, went back and forth for a full week and some calls/streams to get it how he wanted, and I LOVE that

Bc of all those back and forths there are far more wip images than i have space to post so there may be some jumps between images

(Always remember to flip your canvases!) Anyway I adored the constrictive criticism, he was very nice about it but also pushed me against my comfort zone and it helped me explore some more options qith drawing references (like the chibi style!)

I think the lineart came out real nice ^^ some things are slightly lopsided now that im looking back but maybe no one else is gonna notice 👀

Added his bags of money and stone and on to colouring!

found a fun way to do scarring, def not a final method but it looks nice i think :) it took a few tries to get a colour pallet for his fur but we got there in the end

99% of the colouring process was in a call/while streaming so I don't have any screenshots of the clothing until it was finished (anticipating wanting to post it later)

And boom! Done ^^ i kept finding tiny mistakes after i finished so theres a ton of "finished" versions out there but this is def the actual finished look I think the chibis are so cute ^^

If you look at the colour pallet box, you can tell i didnt find the hold->line trick yet, but trust j know about it now (after discovering it on accident)

This was a secret santa - esque art trade one of my discord servers did

This one was for @transmanleonardo and their oc Lamar! (really hope i found the right tumblr with all that digging)

I struggled a lot with what exactly i was going to do with this one tbh

Ended up settling on my last resort idea : hand holding, but next year I'll be able to do better!

I love how Leo turned out, but feel I could've done Lamar more justice, I'll get it eventually

Alright, this is my very first drawing on clip studio paint! I like drawing the turts flexing sm, look at my baby all smug they're so cuteeee

Anyway I love how this came out and I fell in love with csp pretty quickly :)

Had some fun with the pencil brush, I enjoy the way it feels to draw with it and the pressure sensitivity is to die for

Lining it was pretty fun too, it's so smooth and fun ^^

Coloured it with the same brush as the lineart and boom done ^^ even added some of the smaller scars I usually don't include on ibis

And now for the bonus doodle, the ACTUAL first drawing on csp

I was just testing out brushes on a few different apps and csp took my heart with the lineart

Then a last ibis paint doodle for comparison, I think it clearly shows what I used to love about it, the consistent line weight, the cleanness of the colouring, the complete opposite of the csp doodle which was more of a paper feel, messy colouring, line variation

All the things I like about csp and what drove me to find a new drawing platform after Magma opened me up to the concept of pressure sensitive lines

I will say I very much miss being able to have multiple references i can scroll through and flip between, it's annoying to have to scroll my gallery every time i need a reference of a different character, plus it's crunchier so colour picking a small area can get rough

This is a random oc i made for funsies on the fly, no wips for this one so it's just there, I never named her I don't think but I like how she looks ^^ She's not based on any turtle species, all I was thinking was avoiding the red/green colour combo at all costs

Bc i find i unintentionally do that a lot lol

I actually struggled with the hands pretty bad but knew what colours i wanted to use and the outfit right away

Another deviation from Gany, here's their sibling Castor! This is @deliciousmusiccoffee oc and I do adore drawing them so much ^^

I don't have any wips, as i was just trying to scribble it out rq and it kinda dissolved into a full ref 🧍 but yeah tadaaa

Had so much fun redesigning Dakari I love this so much better than before ^^

Of course I first started with a pose, pretty neutral, and threw some spots on from the first design that I liked before playing around with other things, like the way the arms and legs are that kind of dip style markings!

Brainstorm a little outfit I thought would make sense for them and boom, on to colouring! I thought a jean vest would make sense for them because theres so many possibilities on what to do with it, and I think they'd like to wear lots of pins ^^

Of course the base design will just be pride pins but in future art of them there will most likely be so many other kinds of pins!

All this is on magma so no flipping, but heres the pose I picked out for Flynn ^^

Figuring out the markings and colourings were really easy bc Flynn looks the same as Callan and the body, just smaller/younger and less muscular

Thats all I have for Flynn but trust the next ones are gonna have more diverse designs!

Following up my last post, the start of some alter-specific redesigns as well!

I started off with putting on the blue/yellow combo the last design had before

But then I had a thought

What if I tried the original colours i wanted to do on the last design?

And i loved it it works way better here than on the old design

I ran with it, also using it for the main colours of the outfit too

Threw some expressions/headshots in there and done ^^

i did mix up Flynn's and Callan's outfits so this is Flynn's fit and Flynn's ref is gonna have Callan's outfit :)

Magma again

Redesigned Gany a bit to look more visually appealing and easier to draw because even I was confused with all the stripes

Started with a headshot doodle kind of like a "what if" then i liked it too much and decited to try out colours

Then I started messing around with the shell and I struggled with the colours there for a second

Before settling on something I liked and finishing it from there

This also opened up ideas for alters so the next few will be some headmate redesignes

Christmas gift for my bestest bro ever (and Chen's creator/owner) featuring their newest looks ^^

I wasn't planning on using this as a base but I struggled with Gian's pose so much I ended up going over it (by Solariom, watermark in the bottom left quadrant)

Chen was 100% freestyled tho i can guarantee that, I loved trying out my new method of doing scars on him and I think it came out pretty well ^^

Throw some clothes/gear on them and boom now I'm lining, I love Chen's cute little face so muchhhh

Flat colours, I was literally drawing this whole thing while sitting on the couch on christmas morning opening gifts lmao, talk about last minute ^^'

And I didn't have time to shade it, bc yk, it was already christmas, bht I threw on some highlights and sent ^^ They're so very cute I'm shaking them

I watched a handful of fugitoid compilations to nail down his personality and the way his body worked (I never got a chance to watch the space arc) but he's actually so fun to draw!

The sketch was so cute imo, i had to redo it a couple times as i struggled with the spacing of his hips for a hot minute but it turned out okay ^^

Always remember to flip the canvas! I tried to draw his hands I really did, but at the angle I was going for it just wasnt doing it and I was running out of time, so, robot logic, his arm wrapped around and hid his hand

Thinking back, i couldve drawn the other hand but i was a bit rushed and swamped with other projects ^^'

I only needed a reference for Mikey for the colours and to get the bandaid placement right, hes so cute and easy to draw tho his forehead may be a little ehhh we dont talk about it lmao

I tried to be as on-model as possible and not throw my own little things into it since it was a gift and i think i did pretty good ^^ if i had longer and was more into the piece and didn't struggle with it as much as i did I might’ve shaded it :)

overall 10/10 very fun to draw
