Pretty sure this piece healed all my art school trauma. I can't express how important it is to me. This is the first time in a LONG time I created a fully finished piece and enjoyed the whole process and only made it because I wanted to and didn't get intimidated by the ambition of my vision. It's been over a decade since I graduated, but I really had a hard time putting the rigidity and criticism of school down.
Thank you Mark for making the blood-soaked cosmic horror movie of my dreams and for helping me heal my relationship with my art. Your movie moved me to make fanart for the first time in my 32 years of life, twice. If I wasn't so busy packing boxes to move, I would have seen it in theaters 3 more times.
Also huge thanks to the Michael Guimont pencil brush, the absolute MVP of this drawing. I had so much fun doing all the hatching and rendering, it felt a lot like the real thing.
