G5A Foundation

The G5A Foundation for Contemporary Culture is a non-profit organization that aims to promote the arts and a greater sense of community in Mumbai. Operating from our multi-functional performance space, we want to nurture creativity with a focus on cultural practitioners and the younger population of the city.

Anthony Black, artistic co-director of the 2b theatre company, came in to G5A to conduct a workshop on the use of new media in theatre. His play, When It Rains, uses a single projector as a light source. You can check out the trailer here: https://vimeo.com/31561356

Welcome to G5A, Mumbai's newest space for the arts! We want to reignite our community's passion for this city and create a sense of ownership. We want to encourage critical thinking, passionate debate, freedom of expression, and progressive and positive action in Mumbai. And what better way to do that than through the arts? We have our very own multi-functional performance space where we’ll be bringing in musicians, visual artists, theatre, and much, much more!
