Just Amity looking at Hooty rampaging everything.
Legit lmao Amity is looking at Hooty with the most disgusted face and Luz looks back at her like, "yes, I want to ask this girl out" while pining after her so hard. I love them so much 😭
I STARTED THIS BEFORE THE NEW EP OK DON’T @ ME
2x08 | Knock, Knock, Knockin’ on Hooty’s Door
Gotta go. It’s, uh… human stuff.
Did you say something?
I'm literally so happy because they're all kid me would've wanted to see, kids are gonna watch this show and say "oh, what I feel is normal and I'm not an outcast, I'm not sick and I'm not in the wrong, I'm just in love" and that's something genuinely incredible :((
[Highly emotional but very happy hoots.]
i just love amity's lil scrunching up her clothes in her hand when she has The Emotions™
i just think she's neat... <3
Witch Bunny
“luz is from connecticut? what a nothing state. why connecticut?”
connecticut:
As someone from CT, I get what ppl are saying, but a lot of the witch trials were actually done in CT. Especially in Windsor Locks. So it fits the theme. Massachusetts would've been way overdone and boring.
"OoOoO leSBiAnS see it's not espooky"
Serious talk now. This scene right here:
This is why lgbt+ representation is so important in kids' shows. Have you already imagine how much pain, insecurities, doubts and suffering us, queer people, would've been spared if we grew up seeing and learning that feeling that way is normal? That is not bad? That we don't have to be ashamed of it? That we were not the only ones?
That's why I'll be forever greatful for those who fight for representation of all kinds in kids' shows. Cause that way nowadays kids will have it a little easier (it's far from being ideal, but is for sure better) than we had
I feel like this episode gave us a whole new perspective on Amity's feelings. This whole time we thought that Luz was the oblivious one, but now I'm starting to feel like we had it backwards.
It makes sense for Amity's crush to seem obvious to us since it's a cartoon, but I feel like if Amity was actually that obvious, literally anyone would've pointed something out by now.
Boscha does mention that Amity had gotten softer since Grom, but she didn't know why. Willow looked at Amity suspiciously but never said anything otherwise. If we think about it, Amity never really did much other than blush at Luz. And when she was close to having someone call her out, those were the only times people actually almost caught on.
The fact that Gus calls out Luz shows that this isn't the first time and Luz is really bad at hiding it. Yet, Amity keeps getting surprised at Luz's actions towards her. Shes absolutely stunned when she sees that Luz is crying and admits to being stupid around her too.
And even after all that, she finally talks to Ed and Em about how Luz confuses her and she's feeling and things and thinking things she's never felt/thought before.
I think Amity felt the want of going to Grom with Luz, but didn't really know why. It frustrated and confused her, and when she looks down at her library badge, she realizes that she likes Luz. Maybe because of how selfless Luz is to have gone through all of that to get her job back for her.
Growing up with those feelings suddenly happening to me in a very similar fashion, I relate to Amity a lot. However now that she understands what her feelings and thoughts mean, I think she'll finally take notice of what Luz's behavior means too.
