I’m fucking disgusted to be an EXO-L right now. EXO did not win album of the year. That is perfectly okay. They have won before. It does not make their achievements any less valid. This year was BTS’ year. They were not ‘born’ into a successful company like EXO. They write and produce all of their own music and they work fucking hard - too hard for pressed fans to try and sabotage it. I’m a massive fan of both groups (look at my username) but in my opinion, EXACT was a trash album musically. It was an album for them to try out new musical styles and some people adored it but personally I don’t think it worked out. Either way they did not win. Melon did not give BTS a ‘pity award’. Melon are also not afraid to give the same group an award twice (2NE1 won twice in a row and so did Busker Busker). It’s absolutely vile that people are trying to take away a well earned award from BTS - do you honestly think EXO will be happy? They’d probably feel guilty as hell as the two groups are friends. You can dislike BTS and their music but recognising another groups hard work, is not a depreciation of your favourites. It’s called being a nice human being.
