I had a conversation with someone recently and they told me, "to be able to grow older is a blessing. Being able to turn a new age every year is a great thing. Being alive should always be seen as something to be grateful for." It kind of put my mentality in check. People my age are at that point where they're like, "I'm not young anymore I'm getting old. We're almost 30 :///" I've been surrounded by that mentality that youth is something to hold on to and getting older is something we dont really want to realize. and I feel like I've had that mentality for a long time. But Im realizing that as I grow older and as I continue to work on myself each and everyday to grow and be a better version of me and building a life I want to be happy with is such a privilege. And I'm proud of myself because I'm a different person than I was before and I feel like I'm on a good path. It's definitely not easy, but I'm slowly and consistently heading in a good direction. Building a life I want for myself comes with growing older and it's an amazing thing.
