In the middle of photographing a wedding yesterday, going from the church ceremony to a downtown location to shoot the couple's photos, I was T-Boned at a green light. Making a left onto Figueroa, a car from my left "didn't see the red light" and slammed into my wheel and fender, snapping the axle and putting my car out of service. You could hardly see any damage in the photo. And we came out completely fine. What kills me is having a couple that just got married witness their photographers get in a wreck on the happiest day of their lives. Point of this post isn't for sympathy. Rather, to come out smiling no matter what the situation. Everything could've always been worse. I have the luxury of still being able to still write this message, get out of bed and continue working with my best friends at a gallery whose birthday is coming up on Friday. And as a side note, I got back to the wedding after sorting out the situation and finished what I had to do.
