“Father please!” Adrian begged, “The answer is no Adrian, you're not going to hang out with that Niko, you have a photoshoot now go change and get to your photoshoot. End of discussion.” “It's Nino, but please father, I've been wanting to go for years and I've already done 8 photoshoot’s this month!” Adrian tried to bargain, all he got in response was a stern glare as Gabriel pointed to the stairs. Adrian sighed then hung his head and walked away to go change, halfway up the stairs he saw you coming down with a big smile, “Hi Adrian!” “Hey y/n, where are you going?” Adrian asked, “Oh, one of my friends invited me to this concert I've been dying to see for months. They're going on an around the world trip and are finally in Paris! So dad canceled my photoshoot today and moved it to next week so I could go!” you said, smiling as you hugged you brother bye and ran to your dad to tell him bye too, as Adrian stood there, he couldn't understand why he couldn't go spend a few hours with his friend because of his photoshoot, that in all honesty wasn't that important he was just posing to show off two or three newer designs, but you could run off to who knows where for hours upon hours to see a concert with your friends and your much more important photoshoot, given it would be showing your father's newest collection and a collaboration with a high end perfume company from Japan, was just re-scheduled to fit your schedule. “Bye dad, love you!” He heard you say “Love you too sweetheart, have fun.” Gabriel replied, ‘Why does she get to have the life I've always begged for and been denied?’ Adrian thought as he continued to his room before father started yelling at him for just standing there. After a long and boring photoshoot Adrian was finally home, just as he laid down the news started blaring about a new akumatized villain, ‘ just great…’ he thought before quickly calling out Plagg and transforming into Chat noir.

Your mind kept screaming at you to run, of course the singer of the band got akumatized but oddly enough when they went to attack you they stopped and instead chose to go after your friend. As they continued to attack everyone and destroy the world around them a sharp piece of metal from the stage was sent flying into the crowd of people, and right into your thigh causing you to scream from the pain as blood started to pour from the wound. As your friend pulled the metal from your leg and pressed their jacket firmly against the wound the villain seemed to pause, you looked around expecting Ladybug or Chat noir, but neither had shown up yet.
Little did you know, Hawkmoth was currently screaming at his victim, “YOU ABSOLUTE MORON! I TOLD YOU NOT TO HURT HER/HIM AND LOOK AT WHAT YOUR RECKLESSNESS DID! YOU USELESS–” Your father screamed at his newest victim, as he was mid rant about how reckless they were Ladybug appeared and yelled at the akumatized victim to stop what they were doing as Chat noir appeared beside her, and for the first time Hawkmoth wasn't upset or hellbent on getting their miraculous he was more concerned about you. It seemed strange to everyone that the akuma was hardly fighting back and easily defeated but you were all relieved it ended quickly and as Ladybug fixed everything the villain destroyed the heroes did their normal fist bump and prepared to leave, Chat noir looked around slightly when he noticed you, his little sister/brother, and saw the large gash in your thigh given Ladybugs miraculous couldn't fix the damage on people, and just because he gets jealous of you doesn't mean he wanted you to get hurt and seeing that large deep cut and your tear stained face caused his eyes to widen, he always hated seeing you cry and hated seeing you hurt even more but for now all he could do was leave before he ran out of time. When everything had calmed down your friend was able to call and ambulance to make sure you were okay while you quietly sobbed from the pain, people all around were whispering amongst each other as the y/n agreste had been attacked while the former akumatized victim apologized over and over for hurting you and everyone else, you were quick to forgive them saying that it wasn't their fault that it was an accident as you were gently helped into an ambulance as paramedics removed your friends, now blood soaked, jacket from your leg and disinfecting the area before stitching the wound shut after making sure there was no metal shards left in your leg once you'd reached the hospital.
You were given pain killers and your bag so you could contact your father to let him know that you were okay and needed to be picked up, it didn't take long for your father to burst through the door eyes wide, panic written on his face “Oh sweetheart are you okay!?” He asked, panicked as Adrian walked in behind him and proceeded to deflate slightly at the nickname as he started to question things slightly “‘Sweetheart’? Why does he always call her/him sweet nicknames, the closest thing I have to a nickname is when he calls me ‘my son’” as he heard your semi-high off pain killers giggling as you reassured them that you were fine now and that your friend made sure you were okay. “I guess I'm not going to be allowed to go anywhere for a while, huh dad?” You asked as your father simply sighed, shaking his head softly with a barely there laugh “So long as you have a bodyguard with you and stay off your hurt leg for a while your fine, sweetheart.” “Huh?” “Really dad!? Okay I promise, thank you!” You gasped excitedly, hugging him tightly with a big smile while making sure not to put too much pressure on your leg while Adrian looked confused. For the rest of your time in the hospital Adrian made small talk with you while slightly lost in thought, after the doctor had confirmed everything was fine and instructed you to stay off that leg for a few weeks and to come back if anything started to worsen or seemed to be getting infected before sending you home with a prescription for pain meds and instructed your father to keep an eye on your leg and make sure you weren't straining the muscles while it was still healing. Once you were finally home and comfortable in bed your father left your room to grab something before running into Adrian.
“Father, may I speak with you?”
“What is it Adrian?”
“It's about y/n, after everything that happened today you said that they were still allowed to do everything they normally do. Yet last month when I was 15 minutes late to my photoshoot because of a group project at school you threatened to un enroll me and make sure I couldn't contact my friends again. You grounded me for three weeks but y/n gets attacked at a concert and s/he is still free to do whatever. S/he even completely missed three of her/his photoshoots last week and faced no repercussions!” Adrian said, voice raising in anger at how unfair it was
“Do not raise your voice at me.” Gabriel's voice was cold as ice, eyes piercing Adrian “As for your sister/brother, s/he's different. What happened today was out of anyone's control and therefore the blame can not be placed on her/him, and as for the photoshoots her/him missing them was due to a sudden change in schedule and I forgot to mention it. Now go to your room, I'm stressed enough about your sister/brother right now.” Gabriel's voice somehow growing colder as he pointed down the hall before turning around and leaving.
“But-!” Adrian called
“Adrian, I am the parent, you are the child. You will do what you are told to. Now go.” Gabriel's voice slightly rose at the end, not even bothering to look back at his son.
Adrian simply sighed and walked to his own room, head hung low, jealous growing in his heart while a small part of his rational mind knew it wasn't your fault that you were granted the life he could only dream of as he face planted onto his bed. Plagg soon showed himself, cheese in hand or well mouth, “What's got you so upset?” Plagg tilted his head seeing Adrian look so depressed “It's just not fair, y/n just gets everything! Everything I've begged for years to do and been denied over and over again s/he gets the second s/he asks or shows the smallest interest in. Public school, friends, actually bonding with father, and-and” he paused, sighing “everything I'm just stuck dreaming about.” He muttered before sitting up “I need to clear my head, Plagg claws out.” Quickly transforming into chat noir he jumped out the window, taking a quick peek through yours only to see you smiling widely at something you'd been wanting for a while (e.g a stuffed animal, game system, supplies for a hobby) as your father sat beside you with a content smile. Just as he was about to jump away he heard your voice coming from the slight opening in your window “Hey dad, why do I hardly ever get to see or hang out with Adrian anymore?” This made Adrian pause, “Well with all the photoshoots, extracurriculars, and hang outs with friends the two of you have it creates a conflicting schedule for the both of you. Why do you ask, sweetheart?” He answered as you nodded along ”It's just he seems so sad around you, he also looks at me with what I can only describe as envy or jealousy. Like how Chloe used to look at me before finding out I was Adrian’s little sister/brother. It's just– he acts like we're treated completely different!” you huffed, slightly frustrated at your brother's antics, Gabriel slightly tensed but went unnoticed by you as he stayed silent for a moment before speaking “Well, I'm sure he’s just tired, I can assure you that I don't treat Adrian any different I just want to give you both the best life I can. I recall you said something about your friend earlier, what was it you wanted to tell me?” He quickly changed the subject. “Oh yeah! (Friends name) asked if s/he could come over to spend time with me while my stitches heal and just make sure I'm okay after all the chaos that happened today.” “Of course s/he is welcome, I'll let Nathalie know that we're expecting a guest tomorrow, I love you my sweet girl/boy.” He smiled, patting your head and wishing you a good night before leaving “love you too dad!” You called out before snuggling into your blankets and drifting to sleep.
While everything was happening in your room Adrian sat perched on the roof listening to your father lie to you about his life, he wasn't too busy with friends he was barely allowed to see them. His extracurriculars didn't keep him away. You were both in fencing and you were always excited to tell him about your other activities. His schedule was made by father just like yours, he made them conflict and lied to your face about it. “That's why you're so oblivious to the life you have, you don't know I'm denied the same.” He muttered, voice hardly a whisper to himself as he sat there for a long time just wondering why father was lying about so much, the only indication that time was passing was when his ring started beeping letting him know his time as chat noir was ending soon. Sighing he stood up and walked to his room and jumped back in the window, transforming back into Adrian and flopping onto his bed and promptly falling asleep, mind exhausted from all the questions running through his mind.
Small rant but I hate when GABENATH fanfics bring in Adrienette. The fic ain't about them, you can just use Adrien and explore how he feels about them getting together and his individual relationship with both. We don't get enough about his relationships with anyone else on a non-romantic level in the show anyway, Nino is as much brushed over as his relationships with Gabriel and Nathalie or his mother whom he's supposed to have been close to.
No need to get Adrien with his stalker fangirl who hurts him pre-s6 too. Yeah he doesn't have an ultimate canon LI other than her and we know it's only cause he's HER trophy. She wins him, has a right to claim him. So better just not including them especially when the fic doesn't even focus on them and there's two comments from him on her or the ship. Or use an OC or even Kagami or some non-canon ship from the show that's cute - anyone than his stalker. Neither needs huge characterizations cause it's just side comments

Look, I just think it would be very funny if Gabriel only changed his name to Agreste in service of one of those “Greetings, m’lord, I’m the obscure ‘Duke of Suchandsuchy’!” heist schemes, only he never made a proper exit strategy and got in far too deep to ever set the record straight.
this is very obvious but its actually objectively insane that within the first few episodes of MLB Gabriel was able to make a supervillain of the day out of his sons friend because he didn't let him go to a birthday party and Gabriel didn't think 'huh. perhaps I'm doing something wrong?'
