HI!! So rq, is it alright to use different gakupo designs as long as it fits the theme or is it mandatory to use his normal design (say you use one of the lively paradise designs for a entry)

Hello! I have a question regarding the last paragraph of your post. What do you mean by "Please request any extensions before then"?

It just means if the deadline (July 26th) is getting close and you need more time to finish your piece, you can ask for a few extra days to work on it past the 26th (usually by emailing [email protected]), but please email and let us know you need more time before July 26th, not after.

Hi, no worries! We announced last year that moving forward, we would only be doing the covers every other year maximum rather than every year. So because we did the covers last year, we aren't doing them this year, and then we'll do them next year. So:

2025: covers

2026: no covers

2027: covers (most likely)

Covers weren't originally planned to be a permanent part of the collab, but because people liked them, we've repeated the cover addition. Basically, we may not do covers forever, but we're currently doing them alternating years. In the future, it's possible we either change the format for how the collab does covers, or we save covers for special occasions. It'll depend on a few different factors.

So no covers this year, but we will do them for Gakucollab 2027.

(And this is if you mean music covers with art to match. If you mean "zine-style" book cover art, we aren't doing one of those this year.)

hello! Just wondering if a 2000x2000 px sized piece is alright for the collab?

Any size is fine! Just know it will likely be cropped to a 4:5 ratio in the final collab, but you can post it to your own socials as is when the collab goes up. (You can also send us your own 4:5 cropped version if you want to control the crop.)

will there be covers & cover art this year?

As of right now, we're hoping to do the song covers every other year maximum. Since we did them last year, we're hoping to do them again next year.

No explicit content or pairing allusions in your piece

Only submit works made by you for this event

Multiple pieces can be submitted, and repeats of sweets are allowed
