Theme: Sweets

File recommendations: 2550 x 3188 px, 300 dpi OR 4:5 ratio, vertical

No explicit content or pairing allusions in your piece

Only submit works made by you for this event

Multiple pieces can be submitted, and repeats of sweets are allowed

You can sign up here for access to a spreadsheet where you can list your name and the sweet(s)/idea you plan on using for your piece and see what other participants are doing for theirs. Signing up is not required to submit a piece.

Through July 26th, you can submit your piece through our submission form, or send it straight to [email protected] or [email protected] with your name, socials, and optional alt text. Please request any extensions before then!

i was wondering about the fashion choices we had for the 2025 gakucollab? i assume any j-fashion would be okay, but i just want to make sure beforehand. i was thinking of doing tenshi kaiwai ^_^!

also just to let you know, the form for the digital flip book cover says it’s no longer accepting applications. i was just asking if this was a mistake or if it is actually closed? i wasn’t planning on submitting for that, but i was just curious! thank you for your time!

Yup, any j-fashion is fine! And the flipbook cover applications are closed.

Yup! Overlap is allowed; multiple people can choose the same fashion style.

Gakucollab will also be accepting song covers using Gackpo again this year! | Application form

Last year, in addition to our usual art collab, we accepted covers of songs using Gackpo. In order to keep our focus on the art collab while still including cover artists, we will be doing the cover playlist every other year maximum moving forward, as long as there's still enough interest. Because this wasn’t announced earlier, we’ll still be doing it this year. We thank you for your understanding!

Hi! We don't have a discord, but our other socials are Twitter, Instagram, and now Bluesky, @gakucollab on all of them. We open submissions every year during the first week of June, and submissions are open now!
