“Joel! Look at what I can do!” She laughs softly, before turning into a bat.

“I’m so cute!”

He couldn’t help but smile softly at that. God, he loved his wife. She always found ways to remain happy in difficult situations.

“You’re adorable my love.”

The memory of what the voices <3 said still resided deep in her mind.

Wouldn’t Joel want to spend eternity with her?

“Joel,” she began, “I know you’ve been looking for a cure, but… what do you feel about turning?”

"Hey! I feel like something happened to you. Are you feeling alright, my friend?" Gem hums softly.

“I-I’m fineee!” She said, averting her gaze, clearly hiding something.

“Okay I got turned, I got into a fight with Owen in the woods,” she confessed, laughing nervously.

"Dammit, Owen…" She mutters, more to herself than their friend.

"Do you need anything? I have some blood vials at home. I could also get you raw meat, if it's easier to stomach that way." She mentions, nothing but caring. "I know the transition is hard. But I'll be here the whole time, dear friend."

“I do think I need help,” Lizzie said, “I have no idea what I’m doing!”

“Thank you, Gem!”

"Of course! Come, come." She leads the way to their home, collecting up blood bottles and raw meat into a bundle for Lizzie. "What questions do you have?" Their head tilts softly. "Oh, and you have an open invitation into my home."

“Can I go out in the sun? And I can turn into a bat, right?”

She was nervous , but still nonetheless curious about her new form.

"Mhm! The bat form is very fun." Gem giggles. "You can go in the sun for now, as you're only level one, but higher levels can't. Here, here, a blood bottle. It won't tide you over for long, but it's better to have than not."

“J-Joel!” She gulped nervously, looking around.

The pink haired girl turned around with a swish, and asked:

“I-I! Would you still love me if I were a fish vampire?”

(sorry it took so long I had like 5 tests)

“Are you joking-?? Of course I would! You mean the world to me Lizzie! Who turned you babe?”

He gently cupped her face and began to examine her. He felt awful for not being able to protect her.

“I got into a fight with Owen, and he turned me,” she said, looking at him.

She’s glad he didn’t hate her for her new… form. What would the town think though?

Vampires Sleepover starter

Phil slumped against a wall, sighing softly to himself.

why the hell did he even do this?

He pulled his cloak a little tighter around himself and closed his eyes, keeping himself aware for any footsteps heading his way..

He could always abandon ship if needs be... it wasn't that hard to just turn into a bat and sneak out.

Looking up, he sees you approach...

“Oh hi Phil!” She greeted him with a smile. “Having fun at the party?”

She offered him a biscuit, smiling warmly.

Phil looked up, studying Lizzie’s face and hair.

“Hmm… oh- you're that Joel guy’s wife, right? I believe he mentioned you when I talked to him”

He hesitantly took the biscuit from Lizzie, then shrugged.

“Party’s alright I guess- how do… you like it?”

“I’m having fun, everyone I’ve talked to has been great!”

She sits down on a cushion near him, plopping her bee plushie down next to her.

Phil nods, giving Lizzie a small smile.

“Good to hear.”

He hums to himself, looking around at the large room.

“Joel talking to someone else?”

She looks around for Joel, wondering where he went.

“Not sure, I talked to Gem and couldn’t find him after,” she began. “I should go find him,”

“Oh I see-”

He smirks,

“I get it, my wife did the same thing, always leaving me at gatherings to go talk to other people.”

She laughs.

“Yeah, and I’m getting revenge by talking to everyone,” she giggled.

“Is your wife here?”

“Ah, I wish-”

He looks away for a moment,

“I think she’d like you, but getting back on topic-”

He turned back with a smile,

“I’m happy you're having a great time. This sleepover does seem to be a good idea to relieve tension from the town and vampire.”

“Yeah, the tensions seemed quite high,”

She said, slightly lost in thought.

Abolish was surprised that he was invited to say the least, but he happily showed up to the event. He figured he may as well. It was clearly going to be fun and he didn’t think anything could really go wrong, especially not with so many people in attendance.

When he arrived he was wearing a beautifully made black robe with silver embroidery around the edges of his sleeves and collar. He was also wearing matching black fuzzy slippers. He carried a bag full of a few activities, extra clothes, and a sleeping bag. He figured there would be spare pillows and such, but he didn’t want to be a bother to the host. He figured that he would simply use his sleeping bag. It would be nice anyways.

“Hello! I’ve seen you around town a few times, how are you?”

She greeted him with a smile, wanting to meet more people. Friends are always nice to have, she figured.

“Hello. I’m doing alright I suppose. How have you been?”

He asked back. It was only polite to do so after all.

“I’ve been pretty good! Everyone has been fun!”

She drinks some juice from a pink glass, before looking at him and waiting for his response.

The Curse Of Oakhurst hisses and snarls at you, he is caked in blood.

His hands are dripping with crimson, it's all smeared over his clothing. Whether it's his blood, your's, or something else's—you do not know.

The air is dead, and you can't even hear the sounds of the trees swaying. All you can hear, see, and smell is blood. What an awful stench.

Owen's fangs are bared, sharp and bloody. His claws are put up in defense and his eyes are wide—like a feral animal.

He pounces at you, pinning you against the dirt floor of the small clearing in the woods. If you had landed even slightly to the left your head would've been split open by a rock.

You can feel the Lumberjack's claws sink into your hands, drawing blood from your veins. The pain floods through you.

What do you do?

Lizzie reaches for her silver sword, attempting to get Owen off her.

A wave of nausea wash over her, her vision blurred from the blood she lost. She swung her sword at him— she wasn’t a fighter, but she was determined to make it out alive.

She used the opening she created to move out of his grasp, creating a small distance between them.

“Owen, what’s going on?!”

Owen hissed at the silver, wincing. His eyes are cloudy, and he fully looks like he's in a daze.

Bloodlust fills his gaze as he claws at Lizzie, sharp nails cutting deep into her left arm—he looks feral. Blood seeps down his hands as he stumbles back, he doesn't even say a word before attacking; something he always does whenever he's trying to scare someone.

His mind is blurry and all he can see is red, red dripping down his hands and onto the dirt, red that coated the floors of Oakhurst 200 years prior, red of the fire that engulfed Louis.

Whatever his goal is, it can't mean anything good for anyone—vampires and humans included.

Lizzie panicked as her hearts went down, pain singeing her body.

Her skin is covered in blood and dirt, as she struggled to stand. The blood loss made her knees wobble like tree branches in the howling wind.

She took a bite out of a baked potato to heal herself, before she gagging at the taste. Bitter and unforgiving.

She’s been turned.
