Reader is Alex’s younger sister (same age as Dakota) and best friends with Tanner, Chelsea, and Dakota and everyone else. Reader does get scared easily, but takes a challenge like a champ, most of the time. Some places affect her more than others and she does have her moments where she doesn’t know if she can continue but does with everyone else’s help. She has the most trouble with getting badly targeted at the Prison locations and can’t figure out if that’s a good or bad thing but at hospitals, she seems to be the most liked by the spirits and ghosts there. She does become the most vulnerable at times though. She also appears as a regular on Sam and Colby’s channel, but that’s when she’s not on the road, filming with her group.

i think the reason im so unmoved by kimi antonelli and his success this year is that in his f1 career, there has been little to no struggle and that makes him fundamentally unrelatable to me. dont get me wrong, im completely astounded by his ability to perform on track (even if its helped by his luck and having the fastest car) but being the championship leader in his sophomore season is infinitely less compelling to me than his counterpart, george, who has clawed his way up from lower teammate and earned his spot at a top team only to be brushed off as automatic second seat to his seven time champion teammate but then when he finally has the opportunity to prove himself as a first seat driver at an incredibly fast team, hes pushed to the side by his prodigy teammate. george winning would be an amazing case of proving everyone wrong and being the best DESPITE the people hes been measured up again, DESPITE what people think and say about him, DESPITE every obstacle put in his way. winning in the face of adversity, of hardship, of extreme unluckiness, thats such a testament to keep trying, to continuing on, to getting up and getting closer when youve been pushed aside time and time again... is that not far more relatable to any regular person rather than being the best from the jump? i dont know. to me, it is.

so... about "that quote".... imo anything drivers say in the first 24 hours after experiencing the horrors should not even be considered as a real quote tbh. the way they are forced to immediately face the media after coming out of a traumatic experience they haven't even fully processed is insane but unfortunately that's how the game goes and we have all seen drivers say things in the heat of the moment and then later go lol jk nevermind.

but anyway. let's still unpack this quote. it's a very normal response tbh - it's the equivalent of him tweeting "im gonna kill myself" during a crashout. but the most important thing is to remember that george is incredibly resilient and mature and has developed a level of self awareness and emotional intelligence that not many drivers have. he's not afraid of losing because he has already lost. he's met both triumph and disaster and treated those impostors the same.

he's right. right now this championship is kimi's to lose - and the pressure is entirely on him to deliver. we have seen how quickly things turn around in a season. george will come back because he knows in this sport your biggest competition is always with yourself and he's made no enemy of himself. adversity is where he thrives. he will meet his fear head on and let it pass over him and through him and when the fear is gone only he will remain!! this is him freeing himself from the fear. the worst thing has already happened. there is literally nothing holding him back.

george is incredibly pragmatic. right now his survival skills are going to show and he will eliminate any variables that get in the way of that survival. if i know him at all i know he's already thinking of it this way. he's realizing the only way forward mentality wise is to get rid of that desire - it's not about fighting to win it's about fighting all the same even when you know you will lose.

Reading: “Biting the Hand: Growing up Asian in Black & White America” by Julia Lee, an autobiography on the Asian-American/Asian diasporic experience by a South Korean-American raised by 1st-generation South Korean immigrants, interspersed with critical race theory. A bit slow with it right now, but every single page is refreshing to me. Startlingly cutting to my experience as an Asian migrant who often feels there is no space at all for Asian peoples in the Black and white Anglosphere, and who have observed some of these survival mechanisms in myself and in other Asians. It truly honours the anger of some Asian folks, and how our emotions of any kind except the expected silent pain and sacrifice, are seen as taboo and unnatural by both culture and society. Lots of good references to Black authors and activist-authors as well, it’ll be good to follow up on these references when I can. Also I was encouraged to study The Red Guard, an Asian-American resistance organisation defending Indo-Chinese and Asian-American rights, founded by San Francisco Chinatown’s youths in 1969. It was inspired by both the African-American Black Panthers and the Maoist Red Guard from China. I will be reading up on that soon.

Last series: Girls Raised in the South (G.R.I.T.S), which follows three African American women in Memphis, focusing on their passion in roller-skating to earn competition cash prizes and hopefully move on up to fulfil their individual dreams. Unfortunately there are a lot of obstacles and decisions made out of desperation, along the way. And it all seems connected to one of the women’s father, the pastor of an up-and-coming Black church. What I love about this series is that it completely focuses on Black people—their struggles, successes and love even through the hardships. AND THERE IS LESBIANISM !! 🏳️‍🌈

Last movie: I Saw the TV Glow (2023)— well, partially. So far so good. I do feel nostalgia connected to the cable-TV static and the 90s synthpop atmosphere. A film I completed watching before that was The Aggressives (2005). A complicated film documenting the 90s—00s for 6 AGs. Knowing how the recent years have been for the Chinese AG -> trans man Chin who went through the prison system, lost his green card and went through hell trying to stay afloat and stay in the country he has known all his life, was nearly deported…all because of the mistake of the immigration offices… yeah. Hard one. I’m glad all the other/former AGs are doing well though!

Last song: Anthems For A Seventeen Year Old Girl — yeule. Special appreciation for my fellow SEAsian-Chinese. And there’s something to the sound of Asian post-pop and glitch music. It’s got that cybercore digital Y2K aesthetic to it, and it feels cozy in a static noise way. All this bedrotting dreaminess contained in the four walls of a <???> one-bedroom. It feels very EAsian to me because it can only come from the urban decay in metallic industrialisation and the wounds of tradition carried by Asian GNC_infantilistic_fems from generations of suffering under the patriarchy and colonisation and the lustre of Westernisation [mirage of advancement] vs diasporic EAsian clinging to traditions. And how this ties into the “cyber dystopia-futurist-EAsian-alien-machine” Orientalism and its reclamation. Only HK, Taiwan, Chinese, Korean, Japanese and Sinitic SEA would get it. But I could also be making it up.

Working on: Clearing my graveyard of half-finished Tumblr essays on Chinese make-up, writing EAsian characters, E/SEA fem portrayals in the performing arts, and more. Race Day - Aussie GP 2019 - Part 8

A new team? With two females? This is unheard of and will most certainly shake things up in F1! Meet Y/n Rose-Ocean and Evelyn Match as they get assigned seats into a new team into the F1, Porsche Royal racing. Y/n holds the number 38 whilst Evelyn holds the number 72. The two are introduced as rookies in the 2019 season, but, their area has been yet to be revealed, it being closed by tarps, and the two girls' identities have also remained a secret. Over time, even though she’s one of the youngest, she soon becomes the “grid aunt” and even “grid older/younger sister” as well.

3rd person POV

...cheers ERUPT from all across the track in a mighty roar-like way as y/n stumbles back a bit at the sudden, and definetly unexpected, outburst from the F1 fans.

She takes her time soaking it all in, smiling in relief at the sound, before desciding to turn around to the two Mercedes drivers behind her who, ineditably, have their jaws on the ground. Before Valtteri picks his up first, and comes over to give me a proper "congratulations" and "welcome to the grid," whilst patting my shoulder, then stepping aside to allow Lewis past as he goes to grab some water.

The legand himself leans in close so she can hear him over the never-ending, but now dying out, cheers, "Congrats mighty queen! And I am so sorry for grabbing hold of your waist like that when helping you out. If I'd have known, I would have handled that quite differently." This brings a shocked expression out of the panting and now blushing, girl, who then chuckles slightly at the comment, "No need to apologise, mate. You didn't know, and I needed help. I would still be stuck in there if it weren't for you. It's all good!"

His eyebrows shot up a bit, finally hearing her voice without it being changed, "Ah, so you are Aussie, got it. Well, good result at your first race being your home race." He tells her quite fondly whilst she reponds with, "Thank you, Lewis- oh! My names Jessie, by the way. Jessie Rose-Ocean."

She watches him take in the information, smiles, and states that it's, "A nice name, suited for a driver," before he, too, heads off to go and now celebrate with his team.

When all of a sudden...

Y/n's POV

I instantly turn my head to where I can now see Ev, helmet and balaclava off, sprinting towards me. Somehow, she'd gotten past the line. But everyone must know what's going on, so they don't care.

"Jessieeeee!" She screams out, moments before colliding with me, "Naww, you did it my girl, P3 in your first F1 race! And at home! I'm so proud of you N̂xng s̄āw khn lĕk." (little sister). She squeezes my cheeks together as I laugh at her actions, swatting her hands away, "People I watching, Ev," my embrassed side showing.

"Well, let them watch. You've come P3, and I've come P9. We both have made history today. And you're about to make more of it. I will leave you be now. Enjoy it," Ev winks as she makes her way over to get weighed in for the first time. I think for a moment, and then quickly rush over to the team that I can now spot and launch myself into hugs with everyone, tears starting to form in my eyes.

And then I see River, and I'm quick to hug my son, and then my fathers and brothers who all ended up being there to see their little girl winning her dreams.

3rd person POV

She then feels a tap on her shoulder, and turns around to see Lance giving her a huge grin, and she hauls him into a massive hug as he lifts her off of her feet, literally. He then quickly does a cute little wave to baby River, and leads her over to get weighed.

They talk about the race as they do this, and then Lance wishes her well and heads off. Few moments later, a "Jessie" rings out in an English accent, and she turns to see her fellow rookie George striding towards her with Lando and Alex in tow. Big group hug moment between the four, before Alex calls out, "Ev! Over here!" And only a few moments later, another pair of arms join in.

And the 2019 rookies are in joy for everyone. No matter where they ended up. They all made it here and will have their times to shine. They just know it! (Foreshadow?)

Time skip to the interviews, 3rd person POV

Jessie is up first for the post-race interviews, and when she steps into frame, grabbing hold of the mic, everyone goes balastic once more in the stands, causing her to slightly lean over in laughter.

"So, no. 38. Can I start by just asking you your name, please? So we don't just have to call you by your driver's number? And maybe a brief intro on you?" She gets asked, "Oh! Of course! So, hello everyone, my name is Y/n Rivera García Luna Ramírez Scott, but you can just call me Jessie Scott, that's the last name I'm going to be using here. I'm 18 years old, Australian and, um, well, I'm adopted. I have two dads, four older brother who are also adopted, and I also have an adopted son, my little River." She proudly announces to the crowd who all "awww" at her last confession. "But, on my Instagram, it says Rose-Ocean as my last name, just so people know."

That causes chuckles to ripple through the crowd, and the interviwer also smiles at the quick comment before continuing on, "Well, Jessie, that was quite the drive out there, I believe that is one for the history books, don't you think?" He asks, "Of course, me and my driving partner, her names Evelyn Match, by the way, have done incredible things in that car over the course of the winter break and the past few days here. This is my home turf, so I would also say it's a pretty good start to my first year!" This brings more cheers as people here her saying she's Aussie once more. Another one on the track!

"Obvioulsy, though, I'm new to this sport. I'm 18, I'm a girl, and I'm a rookie. There will be limitations to what my body can and can't do. But I will always, always push myself to be my best self. I will always bring 200% to the track and never give up until that chequared flag is waved as I cross that finish line. I'm not a quiter. I can tell you that much. Poté den ítan (never have been), nunca lo será (never will be)."

Cheers redate through as Greek and Spanish fans understand what she means, and others that understand the languages.

"And how do you think the other drivers went out there today?" The questions lands, and she stops to think for a moment, before confessing that "Everyone did so well today, mate. As we all know, my teammate, Ev, got P9, which is also incredible. And my other 2019 rookies, George, Lando, and Alex, also did quite a good job today. We've still got a lot of talent left inside of us, though, ready to come out and show it to the world. And to Valtteri and Lewis, congrats to you both, and to Max, and to Lance, and to everyone who put up a fight with me, I know who to watch out for. But I will not make the mistake of underestaminting anyone in this sport, that can leave you in the dust and in last place. I can't do that to myself." He looks at me, surpised a bit by my answer, not just talking about one driver, but a lot.

"Well, thank you for that Jessie. We all wish you great luck, you and Evelyn, for your 2019 rookie seasons! Can I have another applause for Ms Jessie Scott!" It goes wild.

Y/n's POV

I feel so happy right now, it's just so hard to understand what's actually going on with tears now streaming down my face, and me being led out of Parc fermé, to where I can only assume is the FIA press confrence.

Oh shit.

I haven't fully planned for this? What do I do? What happens if I get sexist reporters or some crazy shit goes down in there that already sends my career into the gravel- "Estarás bien, hija mía, Lewis y Valtteri te apoyarán ahí dentro." (You'll be fine, my daughter, Lewis and Valtteri will support you in there). The voice of Fernando makes me jump and turn, "Sorry to scare you, but I feel like you needed to hear that from someone you like and trust." He winks and I feel my face heat it, "You remember la entrevista donde dije que eres mi conductora favorita." (the interview where I said you are my favourite driver).

"Sí (yes), and I'm honoured to be that person to you, Jessie. Now you go in there, y así eliminas esa estúpida rueda de prensa que siempre tenemos que dar cuando terminamos entre los tres primeros." (And you kill that stupid press conference we always have to do when we finish in the top three). He gives me a quick hug before pushing me forward and I watch him head back out the way he most likely came.

But Fernando Alonse saw that interview where I confessed that piece of information. And now he's calling me his daughter? And that he's honoured that I see him as important to look up too?

Oh lord, Jessie. Do not throw up before you go into that room... or do, actually, so you don't do it in there.

Oh, whatever, I'm going in.

A/N: I don't know when post-race interviews started, the internet isn't giving me much, so I'm sorry if these didn't happen in 2019, but they're now happening in this fanfic! Race Day - Aussie GP 2019 - Part 7

A new team? With two females? This is unheard of and will most certainly shake things up in F1! Meet Y/n Rose-Ocean and Evelyn Match as they get assigned seats into a new team into the F1, Porsche Royal racing. Y/n holds the number 38 whilst Evelyn holds the number 72. The two are introduced as rookies in the 2019 season, but, their area has been yet to be revealed, it being closed by tarps, and the two girls' identities have also remained a secret. Over time, even though she’s one of the youngest, she soon becomes the “grid aunt” and even “grid older/younger sister” as well.

Today's the day!

Starting in P8 alongside Kevin Magnussen in P7, in front of Lando Norris and Kimi Räikkönen in P9 and P10 respectively, and behind Charles Leclerc, P5, and Romain Grosjean, P6. Evelyn is back in P12, besides Checo in P11; the team, including me, hopes that she can gain positions hastily and smoothly.

Deep breaths, y/n, deep breathes. Focus on the cool fan blasting onto you right now and the shade above you and- oh, there they go. I watch as the cover from my soft tyres come off in one clean swoop, (they'll give me a nice clean start) and see all teams mechanics scattering off to the sides.

Looking to the side, Magnussen is already staring straight back at me through his helmet, giving me a thumbs up, I pass one back before we both focus again ahead of us.

And then, it feels like an eternity as I wait and watch those red lights up above light up one by one, though I know it's only been a few seconds.

One. By. One.

"And it's lights out and away we go!" I can practically hear the commentary box yell as the red lights all go out and all drivers, including me, lurch forward in a steady start.

Going around the first bend, I see my opportunity and decide to understeer a tad bit more whilst speeding up, allowing me to take P7 from Magnussen first go. A risky move, but a powerful one that succeeds. It's all like an adrenaline rush now, each corner and bend, each car with its own unique driver.

Dust piles up behind me, causing dirty air, which I thankfully just got past.

LAP 11/58

I've moved up to P6 with little to no issues. I oversteer a bit too much going into a corner, which makes me swerve, but I quickly adjust and get back to it, keeping my position. "Good job," Gavern speaks to me. My gaze is intense. I don't know where Ev is, but I just hope she's pulling through.

Lap 16/58

"Box, box."

Getting the signal at the sceond last turn before the straight, I make sure to turn into the pit lane, same time as Grosjean and Norris, and end up making it out before either of them with 2.3 seconds.

Now, stuck in P11, and spotting Ev right in front of me, but I'm quick to overtake her in turn 4.

Lap 26/58

P6 once more. Behind Verstappen and in front of my best friend, Stroll.

I keep my distance from Verstappen in front, knowing how he can defend his spot from me a bit too well, and decide to keep my focus on my mate behind me.

But then, I see a gap, an opening coming up where I can overtake Max.

And I take it.

P5.

Lap 31/58

Yeah, I just stay back from the battle in front of me, I know when to not mess with something.

Lap 32/58

"Keep it steady, Jessie, P4, you got this," I'm told over radio, "How's Ev going?" The line stays silent for a moment as I go through two turns, before "She's all good, P12, but pushing through."

They can't see it, but my head nods.

I honestly don't know how I'm doing this, getting this far, but this car is really doing wonders for me.

So is this home track.

Lap 57/58

Still in P4, but I have time. Short time. But time.

Just need to get past Verstappen, who I'm told is ahead of me by 0.38 seconds ahead.

Easy enough, right?

Lap 58/58

I keep pulling forward, inch by crucial inch.

Can I do it again? Pass Max Verstappen twice in one race?

Apparently, I can!

P3!

Holy shit!

Just a little more. Come on, come on, hold it, hold it.

I just won P3, in my first ever F1 race, in my home race.

What the actual fuck.

It like a ghost town over the radio as I hold my breathe doing the cool down lap and get a thumbs up from Max, him gaining one from me, before Gavern speaks once more.

"Look, I don't know how you girls have done it, but that P3 Jessie! And Evelyn got P9, so also very impressive for first race." The noises in the background are nothing but the sounds of celebration. Pressing down the putting, I tell him, almost choking on my words, "I don't know how I've done it either, Gav, but here I am... holy shit, I'm going to have to show my true identity now, aren't I?"

This, now, freaks me out as I wave to the crowd, hoping that no one (even though they obviously can't), can see through my helmet to my panicked face. "Unfortunately," his voice draws me back, "yes, you and Evelyn will have to, and she's informed us that she wants to give you the honours of showing yourself first since you beat her." This brings out a little chuckle from my throat, "Of course she said that." And that was the end of that convo.

As I now enter the pit lane, I spot the parc fermé, and see that Bottas and Hamilton are already parked and out, congratuating one another, before Bottas spots me pulling up into the 3rd spot, taps Hamilton on the shoulder, and he turns around and spots me also.

Great. Just great.

And now, comes the part I most dread... getting out of the car.

Now, that's not just because I now love this car, it's because I am quite short. So, to start and to buy myself time, I unstrap myself, take the wheel out and place it on the front of the car, get the HANS device off of me too, before standing up and cringing at how difficult, let alone embarrassing, this is going to be.

With my hands on the halo, I judge my surroundings, before a voice clears its throat, and I look up to see Lewis Hamilton standing there, with a slight smirk on his face, Bottas behind him with the same look, "Need some help?" The British driver questions, hand extended. Looking at it, my mind thinks for a moment, before I nod and sheepishly grab ahold of it, Lewis's other hand going to my waist to gently lift me up, causing my eyes to widen slightly under the helmet.

Once I'm down, I give him a grateful nod, before turning to my little stand, where my cap and a water bottle are. "Okay, just breathe," I murmur to myself as my gloves come off and place them on the stand.

Now, time for the big reveal that everyone's been waiting for. All eyes are on me, I can feel it as I unclip my helmet.

One more big breath, and I close my eyes before the helmet comes past my nose and off of my head. And then, I gently and slowly remove the balaclava, feeling my hearing coming back to me.

But it's all just silent, and I can't bring myself to look up from where I'm looking down at my helmet, playing both it and the balaclava on the stand, waiting for something, anything, even a bad reaction to me. Will this really change history for the better or for worse?

The comments have, mixed emotions about me joining the team come next year and, to be honest, I get it. Oscar's a great guy, and I do feel bad, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to make it to where you want to be. As well, Lando is like an older brother to me. Annoying and easily getting on your nerves, but fun.

Currently, I'm laying on the couch in the living room inside of mine and my boyfriend, Ollie's, Monaco apartment and waiting for him to wake up. It was a big night last night, celebrating us both getting into F1. Me on McLaren, him in Haas.

We've just been chilling out over the past few weeks and it's finally the day that we catch up with some of the grid for next year.

These people being Lando (obviously), Kimi (obviously), Carlos, and Charles. I will admit, I've never actually met Carlos in person somehow, even though he's like, besties with Lando or something. But whatever, I'm meeting him today, so that's great!

I soon hear Ollie coming down the hallway, all dressed and ready to go, thankfully, and with a yawn from him, I grab his hand and head out.

Being so hungry, I just can't wait for some breakie.

Well, that day went smoother than I thought it would go, but I loved it! But, I am also happy to back in the nice warm comfort of my and my boyfriend's apartment. It was a wild day out, that's for sure. It did somehow turn out to be a full day endever around this beautifully magical place.

The guys, that being: Lando, Kimi, Carlos, and Charles took Ollie and myself around Monaco all day long, heading through different parks and landmarks, strolling by the water, going to a nice restaurent for both lunch and dinner. Also, in amongst all of that, I managed to convince each boy to take a duo shot.

I can only imagine how hard it must be for Charles and Carlos to be parting from each other as the Monégasque is sticking with Ferrari, being joined by the 7 time world champion, Lewis Hamilton, whilst the Spaniard is off to Williams with Alex Albon.

Snorting, I glance up to my love as he enters back in from the kitchen, two fruit bowl in hand, "Ollie," he hums back to me, plopping down beside me, "You can't just randomly say beautiful online. Remember, only the F1 and some of the F2 drivers know of our relationship," I scold the older boy.

He just flicks through the TV as he eats a piece of apple, "Well, I did say beautiful people, not beautiful person," He speaks teasingly, "And besides," he starts, setting down the remote after clicking to a random channel, "You're not beautiful." I just gasp, and my mouth drops, but before I can retaliate, he quickly adds in, "You're stunning and the most amazing human being to ever walk this planet and the solar system." This just makes me want to cry, but he doesn't stop there.

"And besides," he turns his body to me, now muting the TV and looks into my glassy eyes, "You came first in the F2 championship this year, beating me, beating Dino, beating Arvid, beating all the boys. Proving them all wrong that gender doesn't matter in this sport or any. You prove that to people every day, to fans and to the haters. You never truely let that get to you either. Hell, you're not even a selfish person after everything," this makes me let out an airy laugh, "You're the most selfless person ever. You do what you can for charities and everyone and everything, standing up for what is right. Y/n, I've known you for as long as I can remember, been in love with you for as long as I can remember, and this has been one of, if not the, greatest years of my life. I get to spend moments like this with you in a place like this. I get to drive with you next year, might not be on the same team, but we'll both be there, together. Hand in hand. Forever. I love you y/n, forever and always."

The tears don't stay at all as he rants. Who would've thought that my one comment would lead to this? During the F1 winter break, after we're both announced to different teams and everything alongside, some of our best mates.

As Ollie hands me my own fruit bowl, I snuggle up beside him and breathe him in as he unmutes the TV and switches over to Netflix to find us a good show or Movie series to watch. I will enjoy each and every day like this up until the racing begins. And each and every day throughout our F1 journey, when we will get these moments.

It was so lovely to be getting invited by my boyfriend, Ollie's, family for the end-of-year holiday break.

I've met his family before and they are just all such kind people to be around and it's such a blessing that I get to be apart of this. It's honestly like a dream come true.

Ollie is just pulling up to the house as he was the one picking me up from the airport with a massive bouquet of flowers in his hands and some of my favourite candy that I love. Both are now seated in the back of the vehicle.

And upon parking, I happen to spot the front door of the house opening up, and out walks Ollie's father, David with a huge smile on his face. Him and I were able to bond over the fact that we were both so scared and nervous about Ollie driving in F1 this year and will have to do it all over again for 2025. But this time, for the whole time.

"It is so great to see you again y/n," David tells me before pulling me into an embrace and I reciprocate it and respond with, "Good to see you again as well, and looking more relaxed." He lets out a chuckle at my statement as we pull away and he pats me on the shoulder.

"Good to see you too dad," Ollie grumbles out as he wheels over our luggage as the boot closes before letting out a smile and embracing his father and I smile at this interaction.

Ollie and I check one final time that we have everything from the car, and upon seeing that we do, the car gets locked. Then, we head inside with all our stuff, David leading the way.

Upon stepping inside the warm house, I immediately smell something baking. I quickly hand over my bags to Ollie, with no explanation, and run to the kitchen.

As soon as I get to the kitchen and get more of the smell of food, Ollie's mum, Terri, and I go to hug her before already starting the routine in helping her with the dinner.

"Dinners ready!" I call out to the household, making sure to be quite loud about it so that no one can say that they didn't hear the call. And, moments later, I hear the padding of feet coming towards the dining room and then, Ollie emerges, then his father. His siblings are out of the house tonight, deciding to go to friends' places instead.

"Can you boys help out please?" Terri asks tells the two, "Yes mum," Ollie responds whilst David just nods and goes to grab parts of the meal that is in separate bowls. That way, in doing this, we can get our own amounts of food depending on how hungry we are.

My idea.

I introduced this idea to the Bearman family a little while ago, on one of my first visits here, actually, and it's been like this ever since I started to come around to their place. Frequently.

Dinner finishes up and mama Bearman shoos me away from doing the dishes and so I decide to head up to Ollie's bedroom (where I know for sure he'll be) and lay down with him and nap. Or maybe even just sleep. Yeah, probably that. It was a very long and exhausting flight here and I'm only just now realising that my body is starting to shut down as I'm about to reach for my boyfriends door handle.

Upon opening the door, my suitcase, which was brought up, is set up in one of the corners of the room, still closed, just as it should be. I hear water running in the bathroom in the next room over, Ollie's, and I just decide that I'll shower tomorrow morning, as I am way too out of it.

After slipping into my two-piece silk PJs, I climb under the covers, and just as I pull out my phone to scroll through Instagram, my bedroom door opens. I didn't even realise that the shower in Ollie's room had stopped running. Heh.

Well, that is until I feel a body collide with the empty side of the bed with an "Omph" and slowly look down to my boyfriend with a raised brow as he rests on the doona, face down. "You good there, honey?" I question him as he lifts his head, which seems to be heavy, and turns it to face me. With a soft grin etched into his face, he states, "Couldn't sleep without you."

This makes me chuckle out, "Did you even try?" As I shift down under the blanket, resting on a propped-up elbow as I stare into his eyes, "No..." He starts out with a mumble, causing me to smile kindly, "But I knew I wouldn't be able to anyways!" He protests.

As if I could say no to this sweet boy, "Alright, come on then," I tell him as I open my arms, and he gleefully gets under the covers and snuggles up into me, "but if your parents ask why this is the case, I'm blaming this on you, just so you, darling," I tell him with a wink as he breathes out, "I wouldn' expect anything less, love."

As he closes his eyes, I softly stroke his hair, and his gentle snores hit me as I drift off too, just hearing faint voices from outside.

"David, I can't find our boy," Terri's voice echos down the hall, halting as she spots her husband in front of the guest room door, "Well, I did," the male states with a soft smile as he looks through the crack of the now open door.

As the woman heads over to him, she lets out a gentle, "Huh?" Before stopping in her tracks upon seeing her son and y/n all cuddled up to one another, looking as cute and adorable as ever. "Oh, I can't even be mad," She exclaims as she places a hand over he heart, staring in awe at the sight of the two youngeters.

The parents look for a moment longer, David taking a quick photo of it as well to forever remember this moment, and to tease his son about it at a later date, before the two shut the door quietly and head back down to their room.

Peace in the Bearman hosuehold, with two happy couples.

One old. One young.

But it is certain, that both will last for eternity and beyond.
