The Louis de Point du Lac and Edward Cullen personalities are peak vampire to me. Something about having all this extra power but resenting it because it makes them other, because it comes with these horrible instincts for use these powers for death and destruction. Something about taking something that was done to you and deciding to shoulder the blame for any consequences anyway because surely you had this coming to you; clinging to the just world hypothesis as evidence for condemning oneself. Just taking vampirism way too personally

the fact that byler allegations started in s1 and 2 with people thinking MIKE was gay and WILL didn't requite his feelings, but then s3-4 does a 360 completely focused on will's feelings being unrequited really cements their relationship for me.

I wish Breaking Dawn had been about Edward turning back into a human. I think some of the Cullens would remain vampires like Carlisle, Jasper and Alice (Esme I’m 50/50 on) but I think it would have been better for Edward to finally become human with Bella instead of Rigatoni.

Hmm… you’ll have to say a little more to sell me on that one. Where do you see it going, conflict-wise?

I mean don’t get me wrong I already prefer it to what we got (that is a low bar. The lowest. The bar’s in Hell. The bar’s lodged betwixt the weeping Devil’s teeth in Judecca).

Oh god I just had a horrible thought: Edward becomes a human just as Bella turns into a vampire. The Volturi come to verify Bella is a vampire and find Edward human. They order he be turned into a vampire again, otherwise the Cullens are still technically breaking the law having a human that knows about vampires. Courtroom drama ensues.

I've toyed with this concept as an AU before. Either the whole plot is dedicated to discovering the cure and Edward becoming human is the climax of the story. It would have to be after Bella decides not to turn, of course. We can't have Bella work to become a vampire only to take that away from her in the eleventh hour.

OR Edward becomes human right after Bella becomes a vampire and she cannot be with him. Naturally, he doesn't remember his vampire life. Poor thing becomes a target, either to vampires or werewolves or both. The problem with this is that it feels too repetitive, because Bella would have to grapple over his humanity. Or maybe she simply doesn't care but the rest of the Cullens do and try to keep her away from him?

Oh you have my attention with the amnesia! I think it’s the perfect twist here. Like the premise of Edward becoming human is essentially granting a wish for him, so there has to be a price. If he never became a vampire he never would have met Bella, so to give up vampirism he gives up his history with her (and the rest of the Cullens for that matter)… magnifique

I could see him being a prime target to outsiders because to them, this vampire with a very powerful gift just became a hell of a lot easier to neutralize. Maybe the Volturi don’t make a move directly (which, they’d have a great excuse since he will definitely have to be filled in on the existence of vampires. He’s in too deep*), but I could easily see Aro being all “oh it’d be such a shame if any harm were to befall Edward in this vulnerable state.” If they can’t have him, they don’t want to give him the chance to become a vampire again. So now on top of helping Edward figure his life out, the Cullens have freakin’ hitmen to deal with.

What do you mean by “she simply doesn’t care”? I had a long ass day and am not following. oops

*or…. Maybe not? Maybe Bella pulls a classic Edward move and tries to give him a chance at a normal life? Eh, that’d be too ooc. That’s just the only way I could think of to make becoming a vampire again a less obvious choice if Bella is a vampire and unable to change back with him. Like I think he’d enjoy humanity for a little but ultimately he’s choosing to stay with her as long as possible. Now if she was still human when he was changed back… I think she could be convinced to stay human with him. But that’s not very fun or sexy :/

"she simply doesn't care" <- Bella wants her vampire forever with Edward and she wants it NOW. Girlie is going to turn him back, humanity and second chances be damned. But the Cullens know a) Edward would have given anything to be human again. b) newborn vampire Bella will end up killing him. They keep Bella away from newly human Edward.

and we know something so selfish is out of character for human Bella... but Edward warned her she would lose herself to bloodlust. Bella wants Edward more than human blood. All the anger and frustration and obsession she expected are centered around him, not blood, making her efforts to become a vegetarian even more difficult. (if she can't have Edward, she should be able to satisfy at least one of her needs. right?)

eventually, she will calm down and be able to think in a compassionate, selfless, Bella-like fashion. But not until after she tries to take that nibble. Which catches dear Edward's attention....

I have a hard time imagining Bella willingly going back to high school after they turned (her first go-around had enough drama to last an actual eternity) but if the Cullen “kids” do go back, I think the new cover story would be:

Carlisle and Esme Cullen adopted Esme’s niece and nephew, fraternal twins Edward and Alice. In the process they learned twins have a much harder time getting adopted together, so they specifically set out to adopt more, hence Rosalie & Jasper Hale and Emmett & Bella Swan
