Whumptober 2021 Day 17: Anguish

By the time his undercover career came to an end Ulaz was pretty much a mental wreck, the constant need for extreme caution being nothing compared to witnessing and being forced to participate in some of the most horrible acts a person can commit against another person on daily basis. Getting closer to losing his mind due to an overwhelming guilt and helplessness nothing could ease with every passing day and without a permission to retreat from his position, his decision to plan Shiro’s escape was as much for the sake of the universe as for his own because he knew he wouldn’t be able to go on for much longer, consequences be damned.

Despite all of their differences they share many common interests as well… one of the biggest being powerful firearms and explosives.

The resident potty-mouth (first shown here) is named Yoldis, a former xenopaleontologist pulled out of a wreck of a crashed imperial ship transporting prisoners too damaged to still be of any use to be disposed off, now a part of the Blade research team, a part-time medical assistant, and a general ass.

October is coming and we all know what that means! >:D Going with Whumptober this year instead of Goretober since not all prompts are all that bloody but there will still be a lots of gore nonetheless. I probably won’t have the time/energy for the whole 31 days but let’s see how much I’ll manage. Oh and I don’t work with a fixed list of prompts so if you have some extraordinary nice and mean idea what horrible fate should our beloved characters suffer, I’m open for suggestions. >:)

Return of Ulaz’s Monsters & Mana character who just want to make his team-mates’ lives better… by slightly unconventional means. He has no idea why they refuse to cooperate. (Pike the catboy thief died a couple of sessions back via a poison trap and now Lance plays an elven bard.)

Nothing like surviving a crash of the ship that was carrying to your death, fighting off another survivor hell-bent on finishing the job, and getting out of the flaming wreckage only to find out you’re in the middle of an icy wasteland crawling with hungry predators eager to snatch an easy meal.

After defeating Madicus and saving Kolivan, the Blade rescue party took the Voltron squad back to their base where the large part of their remaining force resided. However, *someone* decided to spoil the touching reunion by nearly giving Shiro his second heart-attack of the day…

In honor of pride month, Thace and Ulaz celebrating pride on Earth for the first time (canon, who's that? don't know her. my babies are well and alive with an apartment and cats)

I’m in favor of galran society being not-homophobic, so yeah, Thace and Ulaz have never experienced any sort of pride thing before. Still, they’re curious about Earth and want to support the kids, and the kids want them to participate for the fun of it. So their first pride is Pidge painting rainbows on Ulaz’s cheeks, Shiro explaining the history and labels and culture to Thace, and the both of them equipping everyone with water bottles and umbrellas and just generally being supportive but fussy dads (it’s June it’s HOT).

And I’ve been referring to my “everyone” lives drawings/universe as “Thace and Ulaz Get a Mortage”.
