Mr. Iwata was an amazing person and an important part of gaming. Nintendo games don’t show up on here too often, but that doesn’t mean anything.

Nintendo did so much for gaming and Iwata was responsible for making sure Nintendo continued to have great success. And when Nintendo stumbled, he took a pay cut (a massive one) to make sure no one got laid off.

EA,Ubisoft and others could learn from him. We all could.

RIP Iwata, thanks for the games.

Creating A DooM Wad, The Highs & Lows, Covered In a New Series

Last week I decided to play Doom again. I have played Doom countless times before and usually feel an itch do play again around Halloween. All the horror and gore seem to trigger my "I need to kill demons" part of my brain and I go back and play Doom. 

But this time, I had a weird feeling. I wondered what it would take to make a level. Then I started to come up with a story and it became a full wad. Filled with a few levels and some story. I wanted to make this. How hard would it be? 

Well I'm still working on it and I have decided to chronicle my journey here. From early ideas and failures to success and moments of joy. Will I actually be able to make a Doom wad? Will it be fun? Who knows. But if you want to know, stay tuned, for my new series.
