28.03.22 / my first dated update in a while - it’s always been just the weekly ones lately bc so much is happening, but anyway! taking a little break to just take stock and..

I’m on to my final few days of writing my thesis, which includes plotting all the data nicely, wrestling with compilation errors and whatnot and so much writing and re-writing

thought to just say, wow it’s been a lot, coming to this point:”)

really bittersweet and still a little in denial/disbelief that uni is actually ending already, it feels like it just properly struck me

that being said,, all this wouldn’t have been possible without the support of those around me, the lessons learnt along the way, what I’d like to say are the little graces that add up

this time next week I will be done with this, just probably bracing myself for the viva and final presentation (and the other modules which I had neglected due to this ofc LMAO)

not sure how progress is supposed to look like nowadays but it sure is hard to see..

barely two weeks to thesis submission and wow. I’m gonna pull this off, somehow;;

everything still feels like an impossible task to overcome but it’s hard to believe it will all be done in a matter of weeks. here goes🔥

pretty sure I wrecked my midterm test (unfortunately, as expected haha) and fumbled with more measurements only to come to the conclusion that p much none of my data is useful:") since my actual report is also in shambles - even the simple parts that do not require/explain the test data, I have to press on for that next week at least. hopefully I'd have some leeway to do another good set of measurements before the submission but we'll see..

recess week’s going by so quickly and I’d be lying if I were to say I’m not worried at all

consecutive long days and about just a month more of this to go - things seem so impossible but nevertheless, here goes

decided to drop an extra physics module, hadn’t had the chance to spend much effort on it anyway:”)

things are getting crazier as the month draws to an end and my thesis submission deadline veers even closer. But some way or another, all these experiments and lit reviews shall be reported and it will all be done, somehow

it feels like my work mode has been activated; though it’s exhausting and almost kinda sad how work take up so much of my time now, it’s only for a few more weeks💪

overall I guess I’m excited for this to be done, I guess a part of me would miss it too:”)

not sure how, but somehow survived this week:”) perhaps I’m not doing as well or as much as I wish I could, but here goes

it has come to this point where it feels like everything’s in a flurry omy

that being said, it feels nice to be productive (even if it’s just productivity stemming out of stress from how tight the timeline for everything is becoming, yikes)

the pace of things has picked up, so has the realisation struck - I’ve only 2 months to make my thesis happen:”)

I’m glad there’s so much to learn this semester even if it is the last. There’s a lot to do but here goes:)

it’s the first week of my last semester here! already getting accustomed/resigned to long days, but classes this time around are pretty fun:) thesis seems to be going quite alright in terms of experimental results, just gotta give it my best for the last laps

‘twas a great winter break:) many mixed feelings about the upcoming semester being the final one of undergrad, still terrified about the uncertainty of what lies ahead

nonetheless, I guess I’m looking forward, fairly excited, taking it a step at a time

senior year: week 21/35 37 (I just realised I’ve counted the total weeks wrongly LOL)

happy 2022! did quite a fair bit of radiation tests this week, had a good break over the days leading up to the new year. although there is no end to the list of things to do, I’m quite happy 2021 turned out quite alright:) and so, on to the final week of winter break😪😪

halfway through the winter break! assembled some detectors, sent some christmas cards, drafted an article. and, caught two rainbows this week:”)

one of my favourite things about winter break would have to be the annual workshops we hold at our sci comm student organisation:”D it was really fun (and extra nostalgic;;), they’re easily among the highlights of my undergrad experience

although I didn’t do as much for my thesis project this week, but hey I guess I did a lot of other cool things and it’s the break anyway:”)

the first week of winter break went pretty well! without modules on my mind I could work better on my thesis project:) also received some (good!) news - it is likely I might continue in this lab and further my studies, but shall see how it goes! it was rly nice to catch up with my friends too:”)
