antsizedshit:
❝ drift— sure, sister, whatever you say.❝ a light nod, though his brows furrowed softly, not overly certain regarding his very own choice of words.❝ an emp for a phone ? tell me you wrecked half the damn place’s electronics while you were at it, those things aren’t kind to just about anything.❝
“I think I might have shut off his stove,” she pondered, finger on her lip. “And his microwave. He’s probably pretty partial to take out, now. As long as I don’t go nuclear, everything’s peachy.” as much as she rushed out the beginning of her last phrase, she smiled.
wandica:
“– sure,” wanda replies, attention immediately drawn.
the young girl paused, fingers dug into her notebook. “I’m scared,” she choked. “I don’t trust the accords ----- but I don’t trust myself.”
xazazel:
Told to do something in which he likely didn’t WANT to but alas, there was no other choice. ( They wanted recruits of the strongest and he being that of a delivery man ) Azazel was the quickest when it came to travel. While Frost sneaked those out quite easily by finding them telepathically or in ways in which he would never understand. ( simply admire )
Near by, he suddenly stood on the dead leaves surrounding the arid forest, nearly caving in on itself. Taking him nearly a moment or two to figure and take in the significant details of the sudden situation. Had he known where it was this person was he would have been more specific with the teleportation. Due to the cries, however, it was easier to pinpoint where it was he should be. Needles of dead pine trees soon makes way under soles of shoes. The figure of the women crying against the terra was the ONLY person around to even be that of someone who could be worth looking for. Hadn’t a clue why he was wasting the evening away trying to confront a crying stranger, HATING prototypical sorrow. A raised chin, brow, and aware of the sudden withdrawn energy, making self saunter closer. Hoping the noise of his shoes against the dirt and leaves would be ENOUGH to indicate that someone else was there.
wasn’t it beautiful in the summer? the dead needles were beginning to sink into the earth, giving way to little shoots and opportunistic weeds. the flowers were beginning to wind their way up the trunks of the trees that had no agency to reject their come ons. the tears in her eyes watered the ground, and her fingertips left small crackles in the ground, fault of some errant waves seeping into the earth.
the sound reached her quickly, enveloping her mind and putting an instant stop to her tears. fear burnt its way through her mind and out to her body, forcing the waves of light around her to conceal her into invisibility. she stood, the imprint of her shoes on the leaves giving her position away nonetheless. “WHO’S ------------- there?” she gasped, her energy still sapped from her body. she stumbled, leaves kicking up about her unseen form. “Who -- who are you?”
luckydraper:
he’s used to these kinds of liquors. the way they hug his throat as they slide down to a welcoming stomach , no longer feel like stones rubbing to make a fire . &&* as he watches her drink , the euphoria bubbling in her eyes ( and he imagines , her tongue ) , he can’t help but smile , diving into the memory of when he was sitting right where she was .
───── ❛ i can’t imagine why anyone wouldn’t . ❜ he clears his throat , his ring finger moving along the top of his glass , making a slow him . eyes , blue , cold , and practically vacant , haven’t left her profile . ───── ❛ where do you stay ? its late , and i’m out of question , i’d like to call you a cab. ❜
she was partial to alcohol. while she believed she didn’t depend on it, she was opposed to the thought of being without it. Cleo’s apartment was filled just barely with the essentials, and among them was a bottle of Jamaican rum just behind the sink. as she pulled her attention away from the liquor in her glass, her brown eyes came to fall on his, sharp and blue. she pondered on them for a moment before finishing her drink and standing. “Just down the street, sir. I appreciate the offer, but I’ll walk. Can’t help but want to prolong the time I get to see the sunset.” she muttered with a soft smile, placing the glass down on the desk. “I’ll have to introduce you to my favourite, sometime,” she mentioned, gesturing to the bottle that he'd poured their drinks from. “You’d like her.”
hurriicanedrunk:
“Brilliant? Genius? Oh, keep talking like that and my sister will be begging you to marry me by the end of the night.” After a swift eye roll, Morgan peaked at her from the corner of his amused blue eyes, gauging her reaction. After all, she seemed to be taking this ‘crazy family’ thing far too well, all things considered. It was a surprise to him that she had made it this far, not because Cleo had proven indecisive or uncertain, but because he had never LET someone get this close before and he wasn’t sure if anybody had ever wanted to get this close. A thought in his back of his head kept tossing up the idea that after this night, she’d probably scarper for good. If his family didn’t drive her away, then his complicated and difficult family dynamic probably would. “Would you ever let me meet your family? Not that I want to or anything. I was just wondering what your procedure is when it comes to mixing family and friends.”
“Well ------------ I would look fantastic in a white dress,” she murmured, jokingly, a smile coming to her face and crinkling her eyes. as much as he had warned her of the doom and insanity of his family, Cleo couldn’t complain too much. after all, the young girl didn’t care much for drama; it came and it went, and she could deal with it as it arrived in its ebb and flow. she cared for Morgan, and that was really all that mattered. “Oh, they’d love you. It’s basically just my mom and dad that are around, though. Rest of the family moved back home, luckily. They would just be glad that I have someone around. They used to think I was some sort of inhuman little trouble maker. They were kind of right.” she paused for a moment before speaking again. "Besides -- In the end, it's you that I'm most attached to. No matter what goes on."

“When feasible, one should eat the rude.”
“Neither of us are really free.”
“How does one politely refuse a dish in circumstances such as these?”
“I’m not asking you to believe anything you can’t prove. I’m just asking you to prove it.”
“Friendship can sometimes involve a breach of individual separateness.”
“What exactly am I guilty of?”
“I almost feel guilty about eating it.”
“I never feel guilty eating anything.“
“Excuse me if I don’t offer you a cigar.”
“So, how was my funeral?”
“Must I denounce myself as a monster while you still refuse to see the one growing inside you?”
“Suicide seems like a valid solution to my problem.”
“I’m quite the topic of conversation in psychiatric circles.”
“The traumatized are unpredictable because we know we can survive.”
“I am not the intelligent psychopath you are looking for.”
“Discourtesy is unspeakably ugly to me.”
“You never answered my question. How would killing me make you feel?”
“I used to be afraid of losing my memory. What I wouldn’t give to forget a thing or two now”
“A life without regret would be no life at all.”

IN LOVE
“I love you. I’m sorry.”
“I know you don’t feel the same way.”
“I don’t want to be friends.”
“Why can’t you just give me a chance?!”
“How could you pick him/her/them over me?”
“Don’t you get it? It’s because I love you!”
“Just one date. Coffee? Please?”
“Can we please pretend I never said that?”
“Friendzoned again.”
“I want you to be happy, with or without me.”
“You should’ve loved me when you had the chance.”
“I’m a nice person! Why can’t I get dates?”
“I don’t want to be just friends with benefits anymore.”
“Fuck you for toying with my emotions like that.”
“I was there for you when no one else was!”
“Please don’t tell anyone about this.”
“Alright – I can tell a ‘no’ when I hear it.”
“I’m sorry I acted so creepy.”
“Can’t we just give us another chance?”
“I love you. I know you don’t love me, so don’t say it back.”
“You don’t have to say anything, if you don’t want. I just thought you should know.”
“I don’t love him/her/them. I love you.”
“God, please don’t tell my wife/husband/spouse about this.”
“Can I have just one kiss?”
“Fuck. It’s like what they say – nice guys finish last…”
“I knew that’d be your answer. That’s why I never told you before.”
“I’m tired of keeping this secret. Even if you don’t love me back.”
“When I said I loved you, I meant it.”
“Is there any part of you, deep down, that might love me back?”
NOT
“I’m sorry, I just don’t see you that way.”
“I don’t owe you anything!”
“We can be friends instead.”
“I don’t feel as strongly for you as you do for me.”
“If you bring up the friendzone, this conversation is over.”
“I love you, just not in that way.”
“Thanks so much for understanding.”
“You’ll find somebody else.”
“I hope we’ll still be friends after this.”
“No means no, so stop asking!”
“I thought you were my friend.”
“This isn’t a debate. I said no.”
“I don’t think we’d be compatible.”
“Look at this realistically – can you honestly see any scenario where we’d date and not kill each other?”
“You’re only saying that because you’re freaking out.”
“I have a boyfriend/girlfriend/partner.”
“What?!”
“What are you talking about? You’re married!”
“You’re in a relationship with another person – you know this can’t end well.”
“You’re more like a sibling, to be honest.”
“I’m flattered, I just don’t…”
“Wow. I mean – wow. Sorry, I’m just – just really shocked, is all.”
“You were the one that left all those notes for me?”
“We agreed this was just physical!”
“There’s a reason we didn’t work out the first time.”
“I’m sorry, but… no.”

she could hear the sirens as she clamoured into her car. she sped out of the city, hands pale around the steering wheel and tears heavy in her dark brown eyes. she made no noise, allowing the rip of the engine to consume her mind. there was nothing she could do to help. all of her abilities turned toward destruction, she could do nothing to heal or to solve the pain she had created. finally, after hours, she stopped her car at the edge of the dark forest, bare feet sprinting into the wooded barrens. finally, she collapsed at the feet of an old pine, its needles digging into her soft legs. she sobbed -- in presumed aloneness.
