“How can I be sure that you’re real?”
“I can’t make you believe if I am real or not....but I am breathing, and conversing with you. Then again, seeing as I am a Servant at this point, the line between real and fiction blurs a bit, does it not?”

“Is that so? Then let this arrow be the last you see fired on this field.”
Drawing back his bow and breath, he tensed himself before firing a shot. A single shot fired in the direction of his lifelong rival and younger brother, but aimed elsewhere. The arrow flew just passed Arjuna’s face but anyone could see that it was clearly not meant to hit him. While small traces of anger still remained somewhere deep within him, they were buried deep down enough for him to overlook it entirely.
“Very well. Then how do you plan on putting an end to this battlefield once and for all?”
It wasn’t so much a taunt as it was a request for aid. Most of all, a truce. If not the ideal their mother had wished for, then certainly a small step in that direction.
“It doesn’t appear that this mirage will disappear so easily.”
Arjuna braced himself for the shot, and steeled himself.
He felt the arrow graze his cheek, leaving the ghost of a stinging pain to indicate the scar left there. In a way this felt bitterly humorous, as if Karna was mocking his moment of weakness. Not that he could blame him of course.
He bit back a retort, letting the wave of shame wash over. He did not care for Karna at all, he told himself. But he couldn’t let it end like this.
“An end to the battlefield......” he pondered. This must be some sort of illusion, conjured by someone...or something. He assumed that going along with the events the two were familiar with it would prolong their collective dream......
He looked upon their respective infantrymen, fighting like mad dogs.
He looked at their respective camps on either side, where their brothers resided, not knowing of the revelations that would occur. He tried not to think of the stinging words that Yuddhistra had thrown at him that day....
He did not know how to approach his erstwhile rival.....even conversing with him was something so alien, so...wrong. Fists and arrows were their greetings and farewells, for the longest time.
“Then we just do what -they- did not expect us to do, and simply not die. If we make sure that the rest of my....I mean...our family remain safe, then that would mean this illusion would not have an answer for what happens next.”
“At least....I assume you knew what became of us afterwards?”

“In a bare-knuckled fight Elvis destroys Bullwinkle every time.”
“No wonder your butt was so firm.”
“You know what’s weird? (name) is 60 years old and still wearing the same Bugs Bunny Pajamas.”
“that accent is really cute… would you please stop doing it.”
“(name) sends her love but she’s stuck in New York running her fashion empire.”
“We only need to pass two more classes to graduate.”
“The best part about college is that we got hella good surfing!”
“I’ve gotta get to work. I’ve got a bride and a groom who’s dog swallowed their wedding ring. That’s what you get for making a beagle your best man.”
“Damn we all still look good!”
“Relax mom, I already know all the bad words: darn, booger and Donald Trump!”
“I feel like this is my house too, I was here more than my own home.”
“Once again my feet save the day!”
“It’s like the circle of life… oh look, and there’s Simba.”
“I can’t worry about the things I can’t change.”
“It sounds boring– to me. But it’s perfect for you!”
“What’s going on in here?”
“Nothing!”
“There’s kids and grandkids everywhere– and a guy with a woodchuck puppet.”
“I love when you talk clean to me.”
“Oh hey you guys really dressed up. T-shirts with no holes.”
“Right after we graduate college, we’re moving to LA to open out fish taco truck!”
“You’re cleaning at housekeeper level!”
“Ah ah ah! (name) and I are temporarily separated. I will admit, it does not look good, but my goose is not officially cooked!”
“(name) this is a going away party …so, please, go away.”
“Yes I made one mistake… many, many times.”
“Oh she’s doing great! She’s about to go into labor, but I’m the one putting on all the pregnancy weight.”
“Look, (name), I know you’re not ready to start something new, or restart something old, but I want you to know that, when you’re ready, I’m gonna be right here.”
“Little weenie?”
“Well you’ve gotta remember this was the 70s, when nobody cared about kids getting hurt.”
“She ruined my cowboy party! She blew out my candles, she stole my wish –which was for her to leave, and then when she did leave she rode away on the pony ride pony!”
“You’re leaving, you’re leaving, you’re leaving, you already left, I hope you’re leaving.”
“If every word I said could make you laugh I’d talk forever.”
“I’ve been so happy loving you.”
“(name) implanted a tiny explosive in my brain. that he can detonate at any moment.”
“How dare you!”
“And you can start making your own bed too!”
“You know it’s funny, I always thought you and me would wind up together.”
“Yeah, that’s my other big regret. I lost half my money and half my hair.”
“Wow that’s so cool! I’ve always wanted to go to Cleveland!”
“I’ve got the answer: just never go to sleep!”
“It’s nothing I haven’t seen before.”
“Did you ever get that mole checked out?”
“In some odd, sick, twisted way, I may actually miss you.”
“You can say it. You love me!”
“Wow! That was really– …anti-climactic.”
“Okay I’ll… raid the fridge… snoop around… try on some clothes.”
“I’m so worried I can’t eat. This has never happened before!”
“This is better than Shark Week!”
“No! This is my responsibility!”
“So that was a yes to the puppy?”
“Found one of my missing shirts from 1989! This baby never went out of style.”
“For the first time we’re gonna be all on our own.”
“I just hope I can give you the beautiful life you deserve.”
“Sounds like you guys got this covered. I’ll be in LA if you need me.”
“You are entirely too stubborn to ask anyone for help!”
“You’ve been there for me my whole life.”
“I was the kid no one ever wanted to hang out with– for reasons I’ll never understand.”
“You always had my back, so now I’ve got yours.”
“I’m gonna be a doggy daddy!! —I’m having palpitations.”
Hallucination Starters!
“Hey, snap out of it! There’s nobody here!” “Don’t be ridiculous, that kind of stuff only exists in bad horror movies.” ”Help me! Someone’s been following me for over twenty minutes now, I can’t shake him/her!” “You must’ve heard that… It was loud a-and it seems to be coming our way!” “I didn’t just imagine it! It was there, I swear!” “No, no, no, you can’t be real! You died!” “You’re seeing things again…” “I’m not making it up this time! There was someone there, I’m sure of it!” “Are you high? What the hell are you on about?” “You’re hallucinating! You need to try to calm down!” “I think you’re seeing things that aren’t there.” “How can I be sure that you’re real?” “That’s it, I’m calling a doctor, you’re freaking me out.” “You’ve got a high fever… You’re going delirious. Let me help you, please!” “So, what you’re telling me is that there’s some kind of ghost murderer following us that I can’t see?” “There’s medication for this sort of stuff, you know? Maybe you should take it.” “I think you might be having a flash back, you’re screaming at a door. Look at me! Ssh, calm down.” “There’s nothing there.” “There’s something there, I swear! You need to believe me or we’re both going to get hurt!” “He’s there… he’s there… I saw him, oh god, oh my god!” “It’s not invisible, it doesn’t exist. That’s a different thing.” “What are you seeing?” “Close your eyes, what you’re seeing is not real, you have to listen to my voice, alright?” “Did you take something? You’re not making sense!” “You have to focus on me, there’s no one else here.” “Who are you talking to?”

Okay, so for Part 1 of this event, im going to have Arjuna project a vision via the RAM event, in which Arjuna hallucinates various aspects of his life, as told by the Mahabharatha, from his youth, to his adulthood, including aspects of him wandering the land during his exile, and the final battle against the Kauravas. The twist is, aspects of these events will appear disjointed, warped, and surreal, as Arjuna does not perceive certain events for what they really are.
If you’re interested, just message me here, or on my twitter and I’d be happy to discuss any potential ideas!
@gandivas
He was nearly exhausted, but he still stood. The man he acknowledged as a rival had a will as strong as his own, or perhaps it was mere stubbornness and refusal to lose in this instance. Though, Karna knew very well that he himself wasn’t that different. In the first place the differences between the two were few, but the biggest and most troublesome one was the different sides they stood on all their lives. It would pain the woman he hardly had time to know as a mother to see the two brothers fight like this, but he had long since resigned to seeing their conflict through to the very end, and it would end this day. Even without his armor or the comrades that stood beside him, he would cut this man down no matter what.
“However you wish to settle this makes no difference to me, Arjuna. If my chariot proves to be an obstacle,”
“Then I’ll gladly settle things your way.”
Arjuna felt as if he were dreaming again. All of a sudden, once again they stood in that same, bloody plateau, arrows dotting the skies, flames and conflagrations erupting from every shot of their arrows, the screams of pain, the smell of burning flesh and vegetation.
The final phases of the Kurukshestra War.
Here we go again. Once again they’d ram their chariots to and fro. Once again his wheel will fall into the earth’s grasp. Once again Arjuna would (choose to) be spurred on to take the shot. And it would all end the same way. But Arjuna did not want that.....
As much as the rage within him seeped through his pores...he could not raise a hand against him like this.
That woman’s cry still rang fresh in his mind.
“He was of your kin! He was your brother!”
He made way to put his quiver on the ground.
You don’t want to do this.
He did.
“No...it is not going to end like this. This is not winning. For either of us.”
