In June, Catherine Williams (@fineartfixer) and I completed our #restoration of the historic monument at the top of Mount Bonnell. I went up there this morning and got to see our handiwork for the first time since the fence has been removed and the work area cleaned up. What an honor to work on a #monument originally carved by the renowned #austin area #stonecarver Anton Stasswender (at Mount Bonnell)

G A Newton Stone are based in Canterbury, Kent, we have been hand designing and carving memorials in stone and wood for almost 20 years. 

Our headstones are exceptional, all design, masonry, carving and installation is carried out in-house, ensuring that every commission is unique. 

We specialise in concept development, design and production, using our expertise in fine art to draw and carve exquisite decorative motifs and work throughout the South East and London.

Each memorial is designed and carved by hand, using traditional tools. We work with a wide variety of materials, including stone, marble and wood.

Stone Conservation

We’re historic stone experts, who also specialise in lime mortars, lime pointing, brick pointing and historic mortar analysis. Respecting and conserving the original materials and details of a structure is central to our work, and we observe all current lime conservation techniques.
