this is a very half-formed thought but sometimes i think the roots of #fujoism might have something to do with women finding it difficult to reclaim shamed sexual desires without feeling like we are condoning the patriarchy

like once you really start looking at kink and sexual desire as the manifestation of the desire to reclaim repressed aspects of self everything makes a lot of sense but also a Lot of cans of worms get opened. if a quality/part of me is fetishized by society and used to objectify and dehumanize me and take away my rights and personhood then obviously i will distance myself from it. but now subconsciously i have the desire to reclaim it. only now that desire is being manifested as the exact scenarios that are used to fetishize and dehumanize me so if i engage with them am i reclaiming my self or allowing my own dehumanization? much easier to put this onto men fucking other men so i don’t have to deal with all that
