I’m seein’ some whumper turned whumpee stuff on my dash (praise the lord and pass the whump please, my crops are flourishing) but also some whumpee turned whumper (ooh hoo hoo hoo it’s like fuckin’ Christmas) and AND AND

Whumper turned Caretaker. Like full on redemption arcs. And on God do I love me a well written arc.

But. But you know what’s just as spectacular that I ain’t seen nearly enough of yet?

Whumper sees the light. Together Whumper and Whumpee begin the arduous and fraught with pitfalls and mine fields journey to redemption. Whumpee begins to trust Whumper again. Maybe love even begins to bloom, if you’re into that thing.

Then it goes south. Whumpee wakes up in chains again. Muzzled again. Maybe dinner last night was served with an extra helping of sedation and now? Now Whumper gets to break Whumpee all over again.

“Because did you really think I regretted it? Did you really think I could care about you?”

Berkeley: “No?”, he replies instantly, and chuckles. “What? I’m self-aware, thank you very much”

Daniel: “’Good’ and ‘bad’ don’t matter when you’re one of the only two people on a planet, you know, so there’s no point in answering your question.”

Are you ok with minors reading your works?

This took some time to formulate a response and I’m still not on board 100% with how I’ve phrased this, but wafflin’ as I’ve been isn’t going to make it any easier.

I ain't fully comfortable with that, to be honest, now that it's been pointed out. Obviously all I can do is request minors not read and interact- but sorry if this makes me an awful human being but I ain’t gonna go policing my followers.

I deal with a lot of heavy themes and avoid minor whump specifically because I don't want to expose kids to that shit. It hits too close and all. But at the same time, reading whump as a minor was incredibly cathartic to me growing up and helped me process a lot of things.

So to answer your question: I ain’t fully on board with the concept. I wish minors would avoid my work as a lot of it is sexual and graphic in nature. That said, I understand the catharsis aspect of reading whump and how it’s an emotional release. I will be more diligent in the future marking explicit posts and politely request minors steer clear of them if they continue to read despite. It’s something I’ve been remiss in and needs correcting. #explicit from here on.

There are better whump writers to follow that don’t have plots tangled with NSFW content, kids.

And if you are a minor reading explicit, NSFW whump for that purpose and intent because you are working through your own traumas, I caution you that such a practice is best done in tandem of an external, trained professional who can stop and even preempt a spiral.

All I can ask is that people stay safe and mind the trigger warnings I include. Additionally, that includes a blanket permission to request further trigger warnings and summaries.for chapters.

Minors, I would prefer if you found other authors to follow as you may feel you are mature enough for sexual content, but a lot of what I write is sexual violence, which is another animal entirely. Come back later, if you want. I’ll still be here.

Jaden laughed, short and sharp and far too fast. “Oh, I’m something alright.”

“Deranged,” Summer hissed, yanking and jerking against her restraints, kicking out and catching him in the ankle. “Is there a single goddamn scrap of decency in you? Some fucking worthwhile thing in you? IS THERE?”

His expression twisted into a snarl as he jerked back from the blow. “There isn’t,” he answered, flatly. “We good here?”

The entire main trio - Wren, Daniel, Berkeley - is extremely fun to write, but I always have a blast writing Berkeley, so I’ll go with him.

Berkeley makes the most of his intergalactic retreat, much to Wren’s misery.

“Rackham, coffee.”

He scowls, but sets his own cup down and goes up to the coffee machine.

“How do you want it?”, he asks through gritted teeth, his entire being screaming at him to resist; his anger is kept at bay by Daniel’s words from earlier that morning - you’re following his orders too, sweetheart - and knowing that Berkeley’s favorite way of dealing with disobedience is through violence.

“Iced, with milk”, he replies, sitting down at the kitchen island. “It’s been so long since I slept so well, damn.”

“Nothing like some fucking torture for a good night’s sleep”, Wren mutters, staring at the coffee splashing on the ice cubes as it slowly fills the glass.
