Beautiful lathyrus latifolia.
And whilst I’m at it, why not some spring flowers - a self-seeded white hellebore that turned up this year, tulips, fritillaries and the very short lived flowers of Camassia.
Francis E. Lester and dahlia stakes ( they were very small at this stage) on a long lens. Very pretty climber/ rambler which is now beginning to find its feet in this corner of the garden.
Had to get savage with my Gum tree earlier in the year as it was in danger of outgrowing our relatively modest plot. True to form, it responded with a mass of new growth. Not too elegant at the moment, but plenty to work with next spring.
And a reminder of sunnier days, and a rose border in full flush.
Feeling Autumnal at the moment... thought I’d share a picture of some apples, from last year, but still. Lost most of them to coddling moth, unfortunately.
Various blue geraniums...
William Shakespeare in the dew.
Japanese anenome
Graham Thomas in late summer sun.
Gertrude Jekyll
Misc clematis
Bees and teasle
Ornamental poppies come and go. I'm less keen on the double forms, but this was a very beautiful example.
