Hello, my name is Jessica. I am a single mother asking for financial help.
Our savings were depleted due to an unexpected auto accident, leaving us struggling to make ends meet. Through no fault of our own the other parties insurance refused to pay for the damage to our only working vehicle. Without reliable transportation I risked losing my job and made the decision to empty my savings to fix the car on my own.
Despite working consistently we are now severely behind on rent and bills, often having to make sacrifices to stay afloat, like paying for groceries over being in good rental standing. Our current apartment has denied us the ability to renew our lease and we desperately need help in catching up on the past due rent and covering the expenses for moving. This situation has been incredibly stressful as a single mother with a very limited support system, so any support big or small would be so very appreciated. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for considering helping in our time of need or even taking the time to view or share our gofundme.

To boop is a metaphor for the yearning for human connection and the boop is the mark we leave on each other no matter how seemingly insignificant and fleeting the encounter
Wait but what if tumblr is harvesting our boops for something? With each boop do we lose a part of ourselves? This has to tie back to the evils of capitalism somehow I know it. But also maybe some kind of mass spell?

I never implied that the racism some fic authors have is not harmful and doesn’t encourage minority readers to leave the fandom. However, I did imply that the comment you made on a post where a creator is acknowledging concerns from POC and saying they are going to try and write black characters more respectfully is behavior that causes some people to leave this fandom. That author is making an attempt to be more inclusive and welcome more POC their their page and the fandom. When we can’t accept authorial mistakes, one’s not made with malice, and their attempts to do better, why would people stay in this fandom?
So, I personally don’t feel that your comment was respectful given the context. There are so many creators whose problematic writing needs to be addressed, so acting condescending to the one who acted respectfully isn’t helping anything.
You should acknowledge the disappointment black men and women face when they are misrepresented in fics. It happens again and again and is disheartening. You can also acknowledge that we need to accept when authors who are not acting in malicious prejudice are making efforts to do better. Those two instances are not mutually exclusive. How else do educate people, and encourage them to educate themselves, on how to write better black characters?
That’s the last I will say. Have a good day.
Why are you talking to me like I’m not the misrepresented black people??? You dead gave yourself away the second you said, “the creator is trying 😫”. This obsession racists have with forgiveness from black and POC- because some of us choose not to coddle your feelings and immediately forgive- it’s weird.
And it also shows your privilege as a white person. How dare you, enter this ask box anonymously and try to educate me. Because truth is, these writers who get called out; they aren’t actually trying to be better, they just want to save their ass and not receive backlash. It’s been done for centuries. Throwing the rock and then hiding the hand. Coming into my inbox and spewing whatever nonsense this lengthy word salad is- is racist. Blaming Me, for the reason white creators can’t handle the energy and words they dish out, that’s racism.
My condescension is warranted, especially when you handled the situation poorly the first time. And exactly like how you’re doing now. Once is a mistake, twice is a coincidence and third is a pattern and that’s just who you are. You will not get far in life not being able to recognize why people choose not to forgive when you hurt them. ESPECIALLY, when you start your acknowledgment with, “well people told me it was wrong so I guess I’ll just take it down.” And continuously say so when people look at you funny for it . When POC look at you funny for it.
Hiding behind anon is cowardice, and you might’ve had a better experience if you would have came off it and actually tried to educate yourself instead of saying it and doing the complete opposite.
my mutuals have already gotten to this and addressed so many of the fucking problems to this, i only have a couple of things to add
what you, anon, are calling "authorial mistakes" here, is in fact traumatizing. you're able to dismiss it as a "mistake" or a "learning opportunity" when it it an act of violence towards the poc in this community. you get to walk away from it, we rage and hurt and carry it for far too fucking long even when we don't want to. i sit here shaking as i type this, because it's the same old fucking song and dance. what you're ultimately doing is prioritizing your comfort over our safety. which tells us exactly what you think of us, doesn't it? and since it does, why in the fucking world would we give a shit about you and your feelings?
every time i hear about "intentions" i die a little more and i don't have much life left in me at this point. intentions are worthless. sure, they mean a lot to you white folks because it's all you can count on to save your sorry asses when you traumatize us offhandedly. but intentions have never done fucking shit for us. because it's all in your actions. either you act right or you fix it, and if you're stuck twiddling your thumbs somewhere in the middle, then you don't really give shit about it at the end of the day, do you?
no need to actually respond to these questions, we already know the answers

Anon, I’m gonna repeat what I said to you in the comments: go straight down to hell baby.
Showing your ass right outta the gate by prioritizing the feelings of your favorite writers over poc in the fandom, that have been very vocal about the treatment of poc characters and themselves in this fandom. Insane to come in here and try to “both sides” the argument when you’re clearly only batting for your white authors.
Me personally, idc if we run out racist ass people out of this fandom. Especially considering how they’re the ones actively pushing out poc from the fandom at a staggering rate.
It’s not a surprise that COD (among many other fandoms lets be so fucking fr) is a predominantly white fandom. Especially the way y’all love to rally around these authors and be like “omg but they’re learning 🥺🥺.” And to a black person!?!? Like the fucking audacity y’all have is fucking insane.
The person in question was not only contacted privately over the depiction of this character but also warned previously of the use of a slur in their fic before. So treating this like it’s a one time offense is crazy. To add to that, they were going to leave up that racist ass depiction of a character up and tried to write it off as us “not having context.”
Like baby, what context is needed when you’re out here depicting a black man as an over aggressive, animalistic caricature of himself to get yourself off? Like please get a grip, on reality preferably.
Like Bre said, the condescending nature of these comments is a hundred percent warranted because how the fuck do you as a grown ass bitch come on here and try to go “well brown people said Im wrong so I guueeeess I’m gonna take it down :(“
And then look at us sideways when we try to hold you accountable? Oooookay.
The way you folks love to coddle and protect white people when they’re racist at the expense of POC is absolutely insane. Like we have to deal with this on a daily basis but when we call it out its the big angry brown people that are getting angry at this so sweet and docile white lady omg! So totally unfair guys!
Please suck my dick.
Also the line about educating people is a slap in the face to nearly all POC because not only do we have to consistently navigate the racist ass attacks in this fandom but we ALSO need to teach you how to not be racist?? GIRL. Like I said before go to hell!
POC folks have literally had to learn to navigate this shit their entire lives and you’re telling me you bitches cant pick up a Bell Hooks book or even look up “how to identify my own racial prejudice” on google?
and what’s crazy is that I’m half Black and half Mexican, now imagine if a fully black woman said the same thing I said. The outcome would have been worse.
there are layers to this. And the proximity some people of color have to whiteness and their blatant anti blackness kills the fuck out of me. And I don’t want to minimize any other POC issues that this fandom inflicts on my fellow colored lmfao, but this is a black issue. It’s always with black characters and black creators. Like when will this stop.
Black people, people of color, don’t owe you any kind of forgiveness.
Reducing yet another tragic loss of black life to a Hallmark card is not justice.
The common script is for the oppressed person to offer absolution. But who is served by such forgiveness?
Recognizing white privilege begins with truly understanding the term itself.
I know for a fact that black folks in the fandom have refused to speak up because they know they’ll receive backlash ten times worse.
We’ve already seen situations before where white people were practically jumped for calling out racism but then we’re expecting black people to be accepting and educate others under the threat of worse? Be serious.
This is exactly why so many black creators and creators of color just choose to leave in silence.
You’re absolutely right in calling out the anti-blackness other poc hold and the way that this is specifically a black issue.
I have seen first hand other poc repeat lines that actively deflect valid criticism from black people just to defend their white creators. As if somehow aligning themselves with these people is going to help them become accepted or not fall victim to them too. Which, newsflash, wont be the case at all.
Brings it all back to when someone reached out to Cal and asked her to name names. Y’all want black people to put themselves on the line and at the forefront of this but wont even defend or protect your so called “allies” when they’re dealing with anti-blackness in fandom.
But then expect forgiveness and acceptance from them. Yeah, no.
This is the exact issue multiple people brought up in regards to not feeling safe to call out racism in fandom spaces. You are more upset at a black woman not readily accepting an apology and the tone in which she says it, than the fact it shouldn't have happened in the first place.
@/auspicioustidings had an entire conversation on her portrayal of a black character via the DMs of one of my non black mutuals and an anon and I personally sent an ask about the use of a slur in the fic (in which she spent time telling me it meant differently in the UK which was unnecessary given the conversation) before she eventually took the fic down.
She made the decision to make minor edits then put the fic back up despite being encouraged to completely rethink the piece and admitted via her tags she was told once before about using said fucking slur.
That apology is the bare fucking MINIMUM that should have been given when black/poc writers and readers have been saying for MONTHS there is a race issue that makes them abandon this fandom in droves. But instead of allowing us the chance to be upset, you are here as champion for her victimization for being called out over our hurt.
"When we can’t accept authorial mistakes, one’s not made with malice, and their attempts to do better, why would people stay in this fandom?" what the fuck are you talking about? that was malice!! this ask is malice!!! You act like someone doxxed her or came at her with pitch forks and the mean black people are criticizing something innocuous like a fucking typo??? racism and its child implicit bias is malicious!! So if someone doesn't want to jump to accept an apology then oh well!!
Stop demanding respectability and absolution in the same breath. Just admit you wanna comfort the white girl before you hear us out
I am Abood from Gaza, I am 17 years old. The circumstances here in Gaza forced me to enter this application, perhaps someone can help me. My story is that I am a high school student because of the war in Gaza. I was forced to leave school because there were no safe schools during the war, and thus I lost my dream of completing my studies, as I was one of the diligent and top students in my school and I dreamed of a promising future, but this war stole everything from me, even my home and many, many relatives and loved ones around me. I hope that someone will put himself in my place and help me survive outside Gaza and complete my studies to achieve the dream that I have always dreamed of. Please help me 🙏 🥺

Hello, we are Jabalia Association for the Disabled. This is our new campaign to help them after a fierce attack on us. We hope to help them, stand by them, and make them feel humane.
Hi, I am Nour,
I am working on a campaign to support people … Nour zidan needs your support for Help people with disabilities in Palestine
Jabalia Rehabilitation Society is the only institution in the northern Gaza Strip that provides services to a large group of people with disabilities, especially those with hearing disabilities. It is considered a center for health, psychological and educational support in Jabalia camp that is no less important than government institutions. It is considered one of the contributing and supporting institutions alongside the government health and educational centers in the camp and shares the burden and community services with those centers.
Since the beginning of the war on Gaza on October 7, the institution has been a center for sheltering thousands of displaced civilians, especially those with disabilities and their families who benefit from the institution's services. However, after the Israeli occupation forces entered Jabalia camp for the second time in the war on May 12, they destroyed and burned all the buildings and facilities of the association after it had been a shelter for thousands of displaced people.
All the association's websites know that we are honest.

for my sister, @wraithdance , and my sister wife, @gardenthatneversleeps 💕 a thank you for the patience and love you’ve given me 🤍
Johnny swears your paths have crossed for the sole purpose of teaching him patience.
He doesn’t lack it. If anything, patience has saved his life multiple times.
But with you? It’s almost like Johnny’s never known what it’s like to be patient.
He’s never experienced the itch in his fingertips before. Fingers flexing continuously as he eyes you from across the room. His eyes trail over you, half listening to the conversation around him while he observes.
You laugh with Gaz. A full body motion that has you leaning up against him, shoulders pressed together as you grip your sides. Gaz leans into you just as much, face coming closer to yours as he chuckles before you both pull back.
Johnny can feel his face turn. Eyebrows creasing, eyes narrowing, the corners of his lips pitching downward as he observes you both. He doesn’t even get the chance to subdue his reaction when Gaz’s eyes flick towards him. Realization flashing across his face before it melts into a sly grin.
Johnny brings the drink up to his lips. He’ll need the strength to survive whatever Kyle’s cooking up.
Kyle tells him you’re skittish, with a tendency to run like a feral cat. A defense mechanism.
Johnny tries not to dwell too much on what could have driven you to need such defense. If he ever finds the cause, it’ll be Soap that’ll handle it. He’ll make sure Johnny isn’t ruined for you.
He treads lightly around you. Circling within your vicinity, ignoring the magnetic pull that taunts him whenever he’s close to you. If he were a more naive man he’d think this is what hell was like. Within vicinity of something so beautiful but unable to have it within his grasp.
He knows true hell would be not having you at all.
The thought makes his blood run cold. Drives fear through him so fast that his patience is always restored. So he takes his time. Watering, feeding, and shaping your relationship as it grows.
You circle each other for months. Completely unaware of the game Johnny’s playing at until you’re always at his side. Naturally gravitating towards him whenever your friends come together. He’s got you in a box.
You don’t hiss, it wouldn’t be appropriate he thinks, but your eyes are wary of him. Sizing him up to determine what threat he poses, or if you can trust him. Again, he takes his time. Not in a rush to have you skittering away.
His warm breath tickles the curve of your ear as he mutters low and soft to you, only you. No matter the setting, he treats every conversation with you with such delicacy. Keeping his voice leveled to a point only you can hear. He’s not concerned with the rest of them. As long as his words reach you, they’ve carried purpose.
It’s like this at any function and often you find yourselves tucked into a corner, locked in conversation. Even tucked away, Johnny talks softly into your ear. Invading your space just enough to push his scent towards you, but not enough to spook you.
He reaps the reward for his efforts when you lean into his space, unknowingly following his scent. At the same time Johnny pulls back just a bit and turns his face towards yours.
For a brief second your lips brush against each other, but it’s enough.
Johnny’s breath stutters, eyes dropping to your lips instinctually. You shudder, a low noise escaping your parted lips as your body reacts without your permission. His eyes flick towards yours, only to find them dilated and on his own lips.
Truthfully he doesn’t know what happens first. If you lean up, pressing your lips to his or if his hand curls around your hip to pull you to him. In the end, it doesn’t matter. Not when you press your body against his, pressing him into the wall while he pulls you to him, as your lips slot together for the first time.
It’s slow, he wants to savor what he’s been chasing for months.
He makes love to you like this too.
Slow and languid as he opens you up. Taking his time to cherish and care for you the way one does with something of delicacy. Handling you with care as he focuses on pulling delicious sounds from your body. Prideful as your body reacts to him. Opening yourself up to him in a way you’ve denied others.
You give him access to the most delicate parts of you. Gently parting yourself for him to sheath himself in you, joining you together at last. His hips roll into you at a slow pace.
Hand clutched in yours, he whispers breathlessly against your lips. The warmth you provide pulls his innermost thoughts and they spill against you.
He’s wanted this for so long. Since he’d seen you all those months ago. He’d dreamed about you. How your skin would feel against his. How your body would fit against his. The way your nails would feel raking across the skin of his back.
He loses himself more as you squeeze him, back arching off the bed. You pull him down onto you with your free arm as you orgasm, desperate for as much of his skin as he can give.
A dam breaks. And suddenly there are words of adoration spilling from his lips. He kisses you deeply after each confession, pushing his words into you the only way he knows how.
Though the passion overtakes him, he’s smart enough to hold his tongue, even if just a little. After all, there’s nothing patient about murmuring “I love you” so soon.
Idk optically, blocking all the black and brown people randomly is definitely crazy work but I honestly respect it so much more than is reasonable.
I prefer that because the extra mind games of figuring out who really fucks with me or not gives me such a headache! so I won’t trip at all when I realize you want my ass out of here, thank you for standing on business fr 😭
