Okay, now Spinel KNOWS that everything most certainly is NOT fine. Sheâs already hallucinating.Â
Geeze, whatâs next? Memory loss? Ha ha ha ha-Â
Seriously, WHAT in the HECK is she even LOOKING AT-?Â
ââŠ. Whatthefudge?â she mumbles out in one, quiet breath; leeeeaaaaaning away from the⊠tinier.âŠ. âsweeterâ⊠version ofâŠ.
Honestly, she wouldâve had some sort of- BIGGER, more EXPLOSIVE reaction (and she just MIGHT) if she wasnât focusing so much on keeping her hands steady. Clenched protectively around her gemstone.Â
â⊠N-No- NO, I-I-I DONâT wanna pl-âÂ
âWHAT are you DOINâ HERE?!âÂ
Aaaaaaand there it is. Didnât take her long.
Wide smiling face remains entirely motionless as she watches the pink gem, eyes wide and expecting. Hopeful, even. Dotty was never one to turn away a new friend, and this new gem...she almost looked just like her. A few jarring differences, alterations that she couldnât quite understand the c h o i c e behind them. A flickering thought and curiosity that danced about the back of her mind, but was placed up on the shelf when Spinel finally spoke.
Grinning features fell, replaced by a look of surprise as Dotty rocked back on her heels. A ridiculous, dramatic reaction to the otherâs raised voice. The softer spinel slowly swayed back and forth on her feet, each motion emphasized by a soft, but still very prominent squeak until her stiff form came to a stop.
A blink of wide staring eyes. And then another. âEhehehe!â the spinel gem giggled, seemingly unfazed by the sudden outburst of the other. There was indeed something that matter. An unknown something, but a something Dotty was sure she could fix. That was -- had been what she had been made for. To make others h a p p y.
âArenât you a funny one.â Her giggles still dancing about her words as she spoke. âWhy, Iâm here to be yourrr best friend! A-doy.â
