You guys gotta stop panicking. The marketplace is not the end of the world for us. All you gotta do is to ignore it forever. EA is trying to ruin sims? Download the pirated version. "But the gallery-" let's start spreading the external tray file download format then. I've been playing this game offline mode for YEARS now and I don't miss a single thing. Stop panicking. This game is more OURS than THEIRS.
You know who tried something similarly? (yet not on the level of the scam the marketplace is). Bethesda! Which is another company whose games are maintained by the modding community.
What did modder and players do? The majority ignored it.
That is it, that is the solution! What is not the solution is to keep giving them money.
Also piracy is easy and getting the tray files from the gallery using a pirated copy is easy and completely possible!
