*The Salmon with LITG S2 Islanders*
Bobby takes off running across the lawn and does a salmon dive in the pool as he shouts out, 'the salmon!'"
Narrator, Iain Stirling (voice over): Salmon diving, that is.
"Let's have a diving contest!" Gary suggested excitedly to the others from his place in the pool. As the boys emerged from the pool via the broad steps, the girls cheered and applauded them.
Hope claps excitedly as she jumps up from her spot on the lawn, smiling at her partner. "Let's do this, babe!"
Bobby and Gary quickly laid out two lines of pillows for a small pathway from the sofa deck to the edge of the pool. The Islanders whooped, laughed and cheered when it was each Islander's turn to do the 'salmon dive'.
Iain Stirling: The viewers' eyes were opened to a whole new way of entering a swimming pool. Thus, the move has been dubbed 'the salmon'.
Noah is quite skilled at diving. The girls cheered for him. He jogs through the pathway lined with pillows and straightens out his arms by his sides with his feet together just like a fish. He shouts out, 'the salmon', then wiggles through the air and into the water.
He threw himself into the air, flopping aggressively with a lot of mid-air wriggling before hitting the water face-first.
Bobby is up next. He does a backward moonwalk as he moves toward the pool. He turns and leaps into the air, arms to his side as he flaps his hands like fins. "What's your favourite food?" The boys call out, "Salmon," as he wiggles like a salmon in mid-air, then ends up face-planting into the water. The Islanders roared with laughter. Noah climbs out of the pool, water droplets pooling in the dips between his abs.
Gary is next. He performs several sideways salmon rolls along the path until he reaches the edge of the pool. The Islanders are cheering him on as he jumps up and then leaps into the air. He wiggles his torso as he aligns with the water surface. "Salmon," he yells out right before he hits the water. But he tilts his head so it crashes into the water first, whether on purpose or by accident. His splash is huge, as evidenced by the fact that Lottie and Marisol squeal as the water splashes them.
The islanders are all laughing as his head emerges from the water with a beaming grin, and he sputters the water out. He laughs heartily as he pulls himself out of the water.
My stomach hurt from holding in the laughter. These guys are such a hoot.
Iain Stirling: And I won't lie, They got pretty good at it.
Your turn. You seductively sashay up to the pool, swinging your hips between the lines of pillows. The Islanders are cheering you on. You stand at the edge and swirl your high ponytail around in a circle before removing the scrunchie and swinging your hair loose.
Bobby calls out, "Oh, sass," and Gary cheers and hollers, "There she is." The others are clapping as they cheer her on.
You leap high over the pool before wiggling your body and going in feet first.
Rocco claps and cheers. "Yeahhhhh."
Hope was the next girl to go. She went running down the path and lifted off nice and high, aiming for the sky. The islanders cheer her on by chanting her name. She was giving it her all as she wiggled her hips, but she hit the water slightly flat-faced as she cried out, "Salmon." She fell into the water to loud whoops.
"That's a ten," Noah yelled out.
Rocco starts down the path, swinging his arms out wildly and legs bent slightly, like he is trying to shimmy while walking. "You want to embody the salmon," he chants. The islanders cheered before he was able to execute two hip shakes in the air. He salmon-dived headfirst into the water.
Rocco's head emerges from the water with a wide smirk as he shakes his wet hair from side to side.
Ibrahim was definitely not playing around; he was very competitive and took a few moments to study the path and the best way to do the salmon dive. He took off in a sprint and leapt in the air over the pool. He did as many hip shakes as he could do mid-air before crashing onto the pool, shouting "The salmon!" as he did so.
Bobby cheers. "What a fucking guy!"
When Ibrahim resurfaced, laughter and cheering greeted him. Lottie declared, as she clapped, that it was the best salmon so far.
Next up was Priya. She skipped down the path, holding her sarong high over her head as she swung her hips seductively. She jiggled her assets as the Islanders cheered her on.
Grace shouted out, "Work it, girl!"
Priya did a twirl, and then she let her sarong fly away as she jumped into the pool with her arms still over her head. She tried to straighten out her body but plunged into the water in more of a dive style.
She couldn't help but giggle as soon as her head emerged from the water, exclaiming that was a lot of fun.
BH Priya: "I think I was so good at popping my salmon cherry. I tried to make it look sexy until I got to the pool, and then it went tits up."
Bobby did several somersaults down the imaginary path on the lawn between the two pillow lines. He always seems ready to do it without any hesitation. As Bobby gets to the pool edge, he stands up and shouts, "uhhhhlllllluuu," before shaking his whole body mid-air. He falls into the pool, still making the strange sound, which causes all the group to laugh at his crazy rendition.
Finally, it was your turn again. You first performed the salmon movement facing backwards on the ground as you wiggled your way towards the pool. The Islanders were whooping and cheering you on.
You jumped up several feet before the pool edge and turned to face the pool. I want to be the salmon in the air. You took off as fast as you could and leapt into the air nice and high, keeping your body straight and your arms tucked close to your sides. You did a fish wiggle in the air and then gracefully entered the water.
"That's a ten," Gary yelled out as the others cheered and clapped.
BH Grace: "I did the worm. Did you see my worm? I was wiggling like this." (She mimes shaking like a worm and throws her head back laughing.)
Last up. Gary stands at the edge of the pool as he mimed holding a heavy fishing rod. He pretended to 'crank' the invisible reel and pulled backward, as Bobby physically rolled and flopped (like a captured fish) across the lawn toward the pool, mimicking being dragged in by a fishing line. The Islanders erupted into cheers, whooping wildly.
These boys are such a hoot! You were laughing so hard you were grabbing your side. The sound Bobby made at the end was funny as hell!
BH Hope: "Bobby, he was like a fish that's just been taken out of the water on the floor. He was like..." (She wiggles her body from side to side, giggling.) "It was like, so realistic."
Iain Stirling: "I think they were all fintastic 🐟 Sorry but salmon had to say it !" 😋
