Once Mathias was back in the walls of Krovs, he found himself wandering them like before. He could leave whenever he wanted, and yet his legs still took him up and down the stone floors. He considered the castle his home for years, and now it was just a place that felt so far removed from him. As he walked, he came across another man who sat on the fence. The necromancer just shook his head at him, âIâm not sure what youâre allowed to do or not, but you might want to get down regardless. Some people here would use anything as an excuse to hurt you. Might as well not give them the chanceâ.

He eyed the man up and down, noting the relaxed and entirely unhostile posture in which he held himself. In response, Dominik relaxed himself, his jaw unclenching and shoulders dropping slightly. âThey a big fan of that around here?â he asked. From the way this man spoke, it seemed to be from experience. Despite his annoyance, he took the advice and slipped back to the ground, standing on his feet again. âThere wouldnât happen to be benches or rocks around here, then?â His voice was much more calm this time.
