Vanessa Forester was born and raised with a silver spoon in her mouth. Growing up in the city that never sleeps, her mother was a successful Neonatal Surgeon while her father was a successful Cardiologist and were well known within their filed. They mostly left Vanesa in the care of their babysitter named Amy King. From the time Vanessa could walk, to the time Vanessa graduated kindergarten, Amy was the one who practically raised her. It was when Vanessa started throwing tantrums when Amy would leave, that Caroline realized she and her husband Matthew, were missing out on her daughters life. It took a toll on Caroline because even though they had so much money, and all this success, all Caroline really wanted was to be a mother to her daughter. So after a lot of talking to her husband, and a lot of talking to her bosses, Caroline decided to quit. She more so retired early, and convinced Matthew to retire early as well so that the two can be home and raised Vanessa together. As much to Caroline’s surprise, her husband agreed with her and retired early as well. Packing up everything they had in the city that never sleeps, Caroline, Matthew & Vanessa Forrest moved to Pine River, Virginia. Â
It was the place where Caroline had spent her summers and always wanted to take her daughter there, so when Matthew suggested to move to Pine River, Caroline couldn’t pass it up.  They bought a beautiful home on the lake, and the family next door was soon going to change their lives for the better. Ricardo Ramirez was the Chief of Police, while Yolanda Ramirez was the high school’s principle. Together, the two had one son named Antonio Ramirez.  At eight years old, you could say that Vanessa thought it was love at first sight. It was, at least for her. For Antonio, it took him a really long time to realize that Vanessa was not only his best friend but the love of his life.  As years past, the two were inseparable, but during Junior Year of high school is when everything changed for the better. Antonio finally got up the courage to ask Vanesa to their Winter homecoming and the rest was history. They were twenty-four and engaged, while Antonio went on to become a firefighter and Vanessa an art teacher. The two got married at twenty-four, official home owners at twenty-six and welcomed their first and only child at twenty-eight. They welcomed a beautiful baby boy on a cool April morning, in 1985.
Garrett Thompson Ramirez was born on April 18th back in 1985, at 7:00 in the morning. Antonio and Vanessa were in love, to them their son was perfect. Growing up in Pine River, Garrett was grateful. It was a small town, but he loved the community. His father being the Lieutenant for Pine River Fire and Rescue, it helped Garrett at a small age decide on what he wanted to do with his life. He wanted to be a firefighter just like his dad. Even though Garrett was an only child, his parents were his best friends. He loved them, and was always so proud of them. He had a grate childhood filled with memories of hanging out as his father’s fire station, and learning to draw, paint and potter at his mother’s tiny art studio. Garrett got along well with most of his grade, and soon became popular once he hit high school. Excelling with his grades, on the side Garrett had fun with his friends and was the guard for his basketball team in the fall, and was the main pitcher for his baseball team in the spring. Sports was his favorite thing and recruiters were recruiting him from left to right but Garrett didn’t want to play professionally. He couldn’t anyway, not after during his senior year when he hurt his knee sliding into second. After gong to therapy for his knee, he graduated with honors and headed straight into the fire academy to become just like his dad. That’s exactly what he did, after becoming a firefighter he worked hard to where he go to, today and is now the Lieutenant for Pine River.
